      • Neisseria gonorrhoeae의 樂劑耐性에 대한 調査硏究

        Measurement of the sensitivity of gonococci to antibiotics is of great importance in the rational use of chemoteraphy, in the evaluation of new agents and in epidemiological studies, especially in relation to frequent failure in some cases of chemoteraphy. In view of the facts, the authors tried to measure antibiotic sensitivity of gonococci in vitro, and to establish to some extent the new patterns of resistance among the isolated strains. Most of the strains studied were isolated in 1974 from women serving for foreign soldiers at the camps in Seoul City and Gyeunggj-Do Province. The National Venereal Disease Centre, N.I.H. identified and confirmed as gonococci the presumptive strains. Antibiotics used for the susceptibility test by the afar dilution method are penicillin, tetracycline, spectinomycin and ampicillin ; which all are recommended for treatment of gonorrhoeae by the WHO and CDC in USA. The agar dilution tests were made on the isolated strains against each of the 4 antibiotics. The agar dilution MIC values gave rise to the following results : 1) The MIC values against penicillin ranged within 0.01 to 2 iu/ml. The strains with penicillin MIC's above liu/ml were especially 30%, having relative degree of resistance. 2) The MIC values against ampicillin ranged within 0.01 to 2.0 mcg/ml, and all the strains appeared to be very sensitive to the antibiotic. 3) Tetracycline MIC's ranged within 0.1 to 8 mcg/ml, giving rise to sensitivity of the strains to the antibiotic. 4) Spectinomycin MIC's had relatively wide range of 2 to 32 mcg/ml in sensitivity of the strains to the antibiotic. 5) The MIC's against the 4 antibiotics showed that all the strains used in the study are very sensitive to the antibiotics at the lower concentraion.

      • 측정 부사의 부분 양화적 의미에 관한 연구

        수식어로써 부사에 관한 논의는 피수식어의 범주에 따라 문장부사와 술부부사로 대별하고 이들의 의미적 특성에 따른 하위범주를 설정함으로써 수식어와 피수식어 사이의 상관관계를 밝히려고 하였다. 전통적으로 시간부사와 장소부사를 문장부사로 다루었던 것은 이들 부사는 문장을 수식한다는 통사적 관점에서 뿐만아니라 의미적으로도 명제를 논항으로 취하는 함수표현으로 간주하였기 때문이다. 그러나 시간부사와 장소부사 가운데 양화의미를 갖는 이른바 측정부사는 명제를 논항으로 취하는 함수표현으로 간주할 수 없기 때문에 술부부사로 간주되어야 하며 의미적으로도 양화사와 같은 역할을 한다는 점에서 일종의 부분 양화사라고 할 수 있다. 본 고는 양화논리 의미론을 모형으로 삼아 시간 부사와 장소부사 가운데 양화 의미를 갖는 측정부사에 관한 통사적 특성과 의미적 특성을 형식화 하는데 목적을 두고자 한다.

      • 매립문의 시제의미에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to explore some aspects of the tense agreement between the embedding and embedded sentences in English and Korean. The time or frequency adverbs function as a quantifier in simple tensed sentences, however, if there is no any adverb in the tensed clauses, then tense marker functions as the quantifiers because these morpheme can have the referential characters. In addition to this morphological character, we can assume that the simple tensed clause implicates the meaning of the frequency adverb once so that we could derive the quantificational meaning of the tensed clauses. Syntactically we can device a mechaneism to describe the tense agreement between the embedding and embedded sentences. When we adopted upside-down Y model, the tense agreement between the tensed clause and non-tense clause can be described by the intension of the propositional attitude verb ‘say’. That is, we assume the de-se analysis which treats the verbs as a functor expression taking arguments; individual, world, and time, not the set of possible world. In this mechanism we can have the interpretation of the syntactic different tense expression in Korean by the shifting reading. (Kwangju University)

      • 魚貝類의 流通過程別 細菌汚染度 調査

        An investigation of the bacteriological examination about bacterial contamination degree to the selected marine fish and shell fish from Inchun port of Korea were carried out from July to August 1969. Specially the study has concentrated to Vibrio parahaemolyticus, coliform and general bacterial population to the marine fish and shell fish shell order to investigate the contamination degree which is occurred during transfer from the sea port to the whole sale market and retail. On the other hand, another study about bacterial contamination in sea water were also examined. Consequently the study has summarized as follows: 1. It was proved that the Vibrio parahaemolyticus were contaminated in sea water of Inchun port, and also show high contamination degree of the coliform and general bacteria. 2. Thoughthe distribution process line checking examination, average skin contamination of general bacteria 102/cm² were increased to 105/cm² at retail selling condition and those of coliform were also increased to 1100/cm² when it starts from 60/cm². 3 Average number of Vibrio parahaemolyticus on the skin of selected marine 4/cm² were increased its number to 12/cm² at retail condition. 4. Vibrio parahaemolyticus were identified only from fresh mackeral fish not from solted mackerel. 5. Among the 5 kinds of shall fishes (46 samples) only 26% of V. parahaemolyticus were identified. 6. Typical V. parahaemolyticus sero type among the marine fish and shell fishes were identified by K-3, K-6, K-8, K-11, K-19, K-26, K-32. and K-41.

        Therapeutic Angiogenesis: The Pros and Cons and the Future

        Despite the improvements in medical, surgical and endovascular therapies, vascular disease is still a significant, critical -periences of sucesful therapeutic aplication in animal models have raised expectations for therapeutic angiogenesis as a promising treatment option. However, the large, double-blinded, controled clinical trials using therapeutic agent in the form of protein, naked DNA or viral gene therapy have failed to show clinical benefit. Nevertheles, by this time, cel based therapeutic angiogenesis has raised a promising option for the treatment of ischemic diseases. This article sumarizes the essential preclinical research and major clinical trials on therapeutic angiogenesis, and it deals are also described with focusing on cel based therapy.

        수질자동모니터링시스템의 설치 현황과 전망

        Water quality is monitored at 1,837 points which are streams and sources for water supply in Korea. The monitoring carry out the measurement of 16 parameters of pH, BOD, SS, DO and so on with once a month, and of other parameters such like heavy metal with once a quarter. But most of the monitoring is carried out uncontinuously, so it is very difficult to understand exactly the changes of water quality compared with continuous monitoring. Therefore, real time monitoring system was equipped with basic parameters such as pH, temperature, DO, turbidity and electric conductivity at 25 major sources of water supply after installation of Noryangjin and Dukdo in 1974. But the systems have some problems which cannot be considered the sampling sites to represent for water quality of stream of lake, and can be caused a change of water quality by long distance from analyzer to intake pipe. Therefore, it has carefully to evaluate selection of sample sites for real time monitoring system. Also, problems on the area has been to identify which parameters are best suited to monitoring stream of lake water and the differences, of analyzing results compared with manual analyzing. This paper presents some approaches to handle such problems, namely selection of sampling site and measurable parameters, to connect with bio-monitoring system solving a Limitation of measurable parameters, The bio-monitoring system of an early alarm that is desirable to perceive a toxic material inflow into stream can be applied to continuos water quality monitoring system effectively. Also, this paper presents to build a on line system transmitting immediately from a mobile a n a i m house or container to main monitoring center the results of analyzer by a telemeter.
