        정재(定齋) 류치명(柳致明) 연구(硏究)(1)

        본고는 定齋 柳致明(1777~1861, 字誠伯)에 대한 본격적인 연구의 첫 단계이다. 따라서 우선적으로 ``정재 류치명``이라는 인물 자체를 고찰하기 위하여, 먼저 연보와 행장 등을 통해서 정재의 생애를 4期로 구분함과 동시에, 그 가계를 확인하여 정리하였고[2장], 이어서 그의 대·내외적인 학문 연원을 찾아가면서 정재를 전후 한 학맥[학통]의 계보를 정리하였다[3장]. 마지막으로 그의 학문·사상적 성과를 대변하고 있는 『정재선생문집』의 규모와 별도의 저술 현황을 통해서 그 학문적 성향의 일단을 살펴보았다.[4장] 본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은 ``정재 류치명``의 학문 형성의 기저와 퇴계학맥 상의 사상적 위치, 그리고 도학가로서의 면모와 그 영향, 조선후기 퇴계학맥의 재정립 등을 위한 것이다. 이런 맥락에서 본고의 성격은 그 목적에 도달하기 위한 바탕을 마련하고자 하였다. 정재의 가문은 가계내적으로 퇴계의 학문을 계승하면서, 大山李象靖의 ``湖門``에서 수학하거나 혈연적 관계까지 맺었고, 그 결과 ``湖學`` 계승의 중심에 있었다고 할 수 있다. 정재는 가학의 핵심을 퇴계·대산의 학문과 사상에 둔 가문과 그 학자들 속에서 태어나, 그 영향 아래에서 약 30여년의 수학기를 보냈다. 특히 이 시기에 가학의 전수와 더불어 대산의 학문을 계승한 柳長源·南漢朝두 스승을 연이어 사사한 점은 또 다른 중요한 의미가 있다고 하겠다. 그리고 30대 중반부터 考終까지 그의 삶은, 여러 사환의 이력과 더불어 성리학적 학문 및 사상에 대한 講論·講學·著述, 또 文集및 著書에 대한 校勘등의 왕성한 활동으로 대부분 점철되어 있는데, 이는 당시 정재의 학문적 위상과 역할을 대변해주는 실증적 사실들이다. 그리고 퇴계 학맥 상 정재의 학문연원은 퇴계를 기점으로 한 지역적 전개 과정 속에 있었으며, 또 가학·혈연·사승 관계가 유기적으로 작용하는 가운데 결코 그 테 두리를 벗어나지 않았다. 그리고 정재의 가학 연원의 흐름은 그의 직전 세대인 류도원·류장원 이후에도 대산 이상정 문하의 다수 제자를 배출하는 과정을 밟아 가고 있었다. 이 점은 특히 그에게 결정적인 영향을 끼친 것으로 결론지을 수 있다. 정재의 문집과 저술에 있어서는, 방대한 규모로 인해서 그 전모를 고찰하기에는 한계가 있었음에도 불구하고 그 대체는 확인할 수 있었다. 그의 학문은 수사적 문장이나 문학적 소양보다는 서신 토론 및 강론 등과 같은 현실적이고 실천적인 성향을 보인다. 그리고 그 학문의 지향점이 經學·性理學·禮學 등에 집중되어 논변과 학설로 드러나고 있다. 또 그의 학문의 궁극적인 목적은 ``載道``에 있었음을 알 수 있다. 정재는 19세기에 퇴계 학맥을 잇는 ``道學者``이면서 ``文人官僚``이다. 끝으로, 후속 연구에서 문집과 저술에 대한 개별분석, 교유 관계의 양상, ``사환``의 이력, 학맥 계보와 전승 과정 등에 대한 심층적인 고찰을 통해서 ``定齋柳致明`` 에 대한 전반적인 연구가 체계화 될 것이다. As author`s knowledge, until now there is no attempt on shedding light on the life of JungJae Ryu Chi-Myeong (定齋 柳致明, 1777-1861) and his academic activities. In this study, in order to investigate JungJae Ryu Chi-Myeong, his lifetime was divided into four stages from the chronology and activities of his life and then his family tree was confirmed (Chapter II). In chapter III, the pedigree for his scholarly lineage was listed by tracing the private and public roots of his study. In chapter IV, his academic tendency was examined from the collection of his works so called JungJae-Sunsaeng-Moonjip 『a collection of JungJae(定齋)`s works』, in which his academic and ideological accomplishments were well revealed, and another academic writings. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the basis for the formation of JungJae Ryu Chi-Myeong`s study, his ideological status within Toegye`s School and his role as a scholar studying on moral philosophy(道學) and the reestablishment of Toegye`s School in the late Choson Dynasty. Many scholars of JungJae`s family have succeeded T`oegye`s study, entered to DaeSan(大山) Lee Sang-Jeong(李象靖)`s ``Ho-mun(湖門)`` and tied blood relationship by marriage with DaeSan`s family, resulting in playing a key role in succession of ``Ho-hak(湖學)``. Accordingly, it is natural that since the lineage study of JungJae`s familiy was based on T`oeGye`s and DaeSan`s studies and thoughts, he spent about 30 years in early years of his life in studying under its influence. Especially, it is noted that at that time he studied under a renowned scholar such as Ryu Jang-Won(柳長源) and Nam Han-Jo (南漢朝) who were also scholastic successors of DaeSan`s studies. From the middle of thirties of his life to late years, he served as a government officer and also he focused on communicating with the study and thought of Neo-Confucianism(性理學) through the educations, decorum, writings, the collections of works, books so on. This represents well JungJae`s academic position and role at that contemporary time. JungJae`s academic origin within Toegye`s school was positioned in the course of regional evolution starting from T`oeGye and it never get out this boundary as lineage study, blood relationship and maste-pupil relationship acted organically each other. Even since Ryu Do-Won(柳道源) and Ryu Jang-Won who were famous scholars at generation just before JungJae, the origin of JungJae`s lineage study continued to be developed following the process that pupils were produced at DaSan`s school. Conclusionally, this fact means that this process give a decisive influence on him. Though it is hard to discuss fully JungJae`s work collections and writings due to their huge scale, it could be confirmed that the characteristic of his work was practical from the fact that he focus on discussion via letter and sermon rather than rhetorical sentence and literary knowledge. His argument and theory showed that his study was mainly aimed at studying the study of Confucian classics [Confucianism] (經學), Neo-Confucianism(性理學) and the study of courtesy[Ye-hak](禮學) and also, it was found that final goal of his study is JaeDo(載道). JungJae was great scholar as a successor of Toegye`s school as well as a literary government officer in the 19th century. Finally, in further study, an overall review about ``JungJae, Ryu Chi-Myeong`` is required to be systematically organized by making the individual analysis for the collection of works and writings and considering in detail the career as a government officer, the pedigree of scholarly lineage and its transmission to next generation.

        무어링 로프용 메탈로센 촉매 고밀도 폴리에틸렌 모노 필라멘트의 물성에 미치는 연신비의 영향

        This study examined the effect of draw ratio on the properties of high density polyethylene (m-HDPE) prepared using a metallocene catalyst as mooring rope material for 20,000-30,000 ton ships (small and medium class ships). The density, crystallinity, crystallite size, crystalline orientation, melting enthalpy, and tensile modulus increased with increasing draw ratio from 8 to 14; however, the elongation at break decreased. The tensile strength of the m-HDPE filament increased significantly with increasing draw ratio up to 12 and then decreased a little. The reduction in tensile strength for the filament with draw ratio of 14 might be due to stress whitening. The various properties of the m-HDPE mono-filament with draw ratio of 14 prepared in this study (tensile strength: 8.0 g/d, elongation at break: 10.0%, tensile modulus: 104.5 g/d, water absorption: 0.19%, color fastness to sea water (grade): 4-5, chemical resistance: 82-94%) were found to pass the mooring rope material criteria for 20,000-30,000 ton ships (tensile strength: > 8 g/d, elongation at break: 10% <, tensile modulus: > 100 g/d, water absorption: 0.7% <, color fastness to sea water (grade): > 4, chemical resistance: > 80%).

        석창포(石菖蒲) 전탕액(煎湯液)이 Glucose Oxidase에 의해 손상(損傷)된 대뇌피질(大腦皮質) 신경세포(神經細胞)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        The purpose of this study is to examine the toxic effects caused by Glucose Oxidase(GO) and the effects of herbal extracts such as Acori Rhizoma(AR) on the treatment of the toxic effects. For this purpose, experiments with the cultured cell from the cerebrums of new born mice were done. The results of these experiments were as follows. 1. GO, a oxygen radical, decreased the survival rate of the cultured cells on NR assay and MTT assay. 2. GO, a oxygen radical, decreased the amount of neurofilaments and total protein. 3. AR have efficacy of increasing the amount of neurofilament. 4. AR have efficacy of increasing the amount of total protein. From the above results, It is concluded that AR has marked efficacy as a treatment for the damages caused in the GO-mediated oxidative process. And AR is thought to have certain pharmacological effects on controlling over aging. Further clinical study of this pharmacological effects of AR should be complemented.

      • 서산지역 굴피나무(Platycarya strobilacea)군락의 동태

        The regeneration process and the composition of species of climax Platycarya strovilacea S. et Z. forest was studied in Mujang-Ri, Jigok-Myon, Sosan, Chungchungnam-Do Province. Total number of vascular plant species of this community was recorded 125. This results seem to be related to various soil and light conditions in this community. The dominant trees of the stands came up beyond 12m in height. The upper tree layer is highly dominated by Platycarya strovilacea, which have more than two stems, is over 15cm in DBH class and is like stumps. They were distributed horizontally in random. Trees of the middle and lower layer were few in number and small in basal area. It tended to be distributed contagiously, in the age distribution of trees, some of the even-aged cluster which were constituted of several trees, were found in plot. The growth rates of the stem diameter for the first 20 years of the trees in upper layer were higher than those of the same species in the middle layer. These results show that the seedings which were established in dense grows with the decreasing density after the forest canopy had been broken out , and distribution pattern became in random, would constitute the canopy developing the community level.
