Cerebral autoregulation is the mainternance of a constant cerebral blood flow over a wide range of cerebral perfusion pressure. But irreversible hypoxic brain damage may occur as a consequence of such diverse conditions as lung and heart disease, shock, seizure or an episode of severe hypotension, and is potential hazard to any patient undergoing general anesthesia. The ultimate degree of neurological recovery may range from brain death and vegetative state to minor psychiatric disturbance and even normality, and is determined by the severity of the initial stress and wheather or not adequate resuscitation was commenced before irreversible brain damage. We performed an experiment to determine the protective effect of the calcium channel blocker nimodipine on the neuronal injury following cerebral ischemia in a rat model. The result were as follows: 1) Mean arterial pressure decreased more significantly in the nimodipine-treated group than the saline-treated group (p$lt;0.01). 2) With respect to the degree of neuronal damage following cerebral ischemia, it decreased more significantly in the nimodipine-treated group than the saline-treated group (p$lt;0.01).
제주도내 초등학교 교사들의 수학과 수행 평가 유형에 대한 선호 실태 분석 연구

In this paper, we try to find through questionnaires from the teachers of Cheju elementary schools what the situation at schools in performance assesment is like at this present time, what methods of performance assesment they prefer to use, and what methods they want to be developed. After that, we are going to find the methods which can be used for each grade in elementary school. 최근 새로운 평가 체제로 대두되고 있는 수행 평가에 대한 체계적인 선행 연구의 부족으로. 초등학교 교사들은 수행 평가 문제를 직접 연구, 개발해서 아동들에게 적용시켜야 하는 부담을 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 제주도내 초등학교에 근무하고 있는 교사들을 대상으로 지금교육 현장에서 실시되고 있는 수행 평가의 실태 및 수학 교과에서의 수행 평가 방법의 유형에 대한 선호도와 앞으로 개발되어야 할 수학 교과에서의 수행 평가 방법의 유형에 대한 선호도를 설문 조사하여, 각 학년에 투입 가능한 수행 평가 유형을 찾아보았다.
The effect of perineural injection therapy on neuropathic pain: a retrospective study

Background: Among the various pain-related diseases that can be encountered at the clinic, there is a neuropathic pain that is difficult to treat. Numerous methods have been proposed to treat neuropathic pain, such as taking medication, nerve block with lidocaine, or neurolysis with alcohol or phenol. Recently, a method of perineural injection using dextrose instead of lidocaine was proposed. This study was designed to compare the effects of perineural injection therapy (PIT) with buffered 5% dextrose or 0.5% lidocaine on neuropathic pain. Methods: The data were collected from the database of pain clinic from August 1st, 2019 to December 31st, 2022 without any personal information. The inclusion criteria were patients diagnosed with postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), trigeminal neuralgia (TN), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), or peripheral neuropathy (PN), and patients who had undergone PIT with buffered 5% dextrose (Dextrose group) or 0.5% lidocaine (Lidocaine group) for pain control. The data of patients, namely sex, age, and pain score (numerical rating scale, NRS) were collected before PIT. The data of NRS, side effects, and satisfaction grade (excellent, good, fair, or poor) were collected one week after each of the four PIT, and two weeks after the last PIT. Results: Overall, 112 subjects were enrolled. The Dextrose group included 89 and Lidocaine group included 23 patients. Because the number of patients in the Lidocaine group was too small to allow statistical analysis, the trend in Lidocaine group was just observed in each disease. There were no significant side effects except for a few bruise cases on the site of injection in all groups. The NRS in most Dextrose groups except CRPS were reduced significantly; however, the Lidocaine group showed a trend of pain reduction only in PHN. The Dextrose group except CRPS showed increased satisfaction two weeks after the final PIT. Conclusion: From the results, it is suggested that PIT with buffered 5% dextrose may have a good effect for neuropathic pain without any side effect except for patients with CRPS. This may offer a window into a new tool that practitioners can employ in their quest to help patients with neuropathic pain.
2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서 및 교사용 지도서의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용 분석

2009 개정 초등 수학 6학년 교과서와 교사용 지도서를 대상으로 수학적 지식 외에 어떤 STEAM 관련 교과의 내용을 포함하고 있는지 단원별, 학기별, 수학내용 영역별로 분석하였는데 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단원별, 수학내용 영역별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 전체적으로 스토리텔링 자료가 제일 많았고, 기술공학, 자연과학, 사회 교과 내용 순으로 많이 분석되었으나, 문화, 체육, 음악, 미술 관련 교과 내용은 매우 적었다. 둘째, 학기별 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서가 수학 6-1 교과서보다 61개가 많았으며, 스토리텔링을 제외한 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수는 수학 6-2 교과서에서는 107개, 수학 6-1 교과서에서는 39개로 수학 6-2 교과서에서의 개수가 수학 6-1 교과서에서 보다 약 2.7배 많았다. 셋째, 수학 6-1 교사용 지도서는 수학 6-1 교과서에서 STEAM 관련 교과 내용이 부족한 단원들을 잘 보완하지 못했으나, 수학 6-2 교사용 지도서에서는 수학 6-2교과서에서 부족한 단원들을 비교적 잘 보완한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 수학 6-1, 6-2 교과서와 교사용 지도서에서 수학이외의 STEAM 관련 교과 내용의 개수가 단원별, 수학내용 영역별, 학기별로 차이가 심하므로 다양한 STEAM 자료의 개발이 요구된다. In this study, we analyzed what STEAM-related subject contents, except mathematical knowledge, are contained in 2009 revised elementary mathematics 6th grade textbooks and teacher’s manuals. The STEAM-related subject contents in the textbooks and the teacher’s manuals were examined by unit, by semester, and by strand of the content in the elementary school mathematics curriculum. The results are the following: First, in each unit and in each strand of mathematics, the most frequent STEAM-related subject content is storytelling, followed by the STEAM-related subject contents of technology and engineering, natural science, and social studies in order. On the other hand, the number of culture, physical education, music and fine arts contents is very small. Second, the number of STEAM-related subject contents in the textbook for the second semester(textbook 6-2) of the 6th grade year is 61 more than that in the textbook for the first semester(textbook 6-1). The number of non-storytelling STEAM-related subject contents in textbook 6-2 is 107, 2.7 times more than that in textbook 6-1. Third, the teacher’s manual for textbook 6-1 is insufficient in complementing the textbook units which lack in STEAM—related subject contents, while the teacher’s manual for textbook 6-2 is comparatively good in its complementing role. Therefore, it is recommended that we develop different STEAM materials for our 6th grade mathematics classes.
충전용 글라스 아이오노머 시멘트의 시간경과에 따른 불소용출

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pattern and quantity of fluoride release from four commercial glass ionomer filling cements and silicate cement. 10 specimens was made from each group, and the fluoride ion concentration was estimated by fluoride electrode during each 2days over a 30 day period. The results were as follows : The glass ionomer cements released considerable more fluoride during each of the first 12 days than during each of the subsequent 18 days. The continued release did not decrease very much with time. The fluoride release of Ketac-Fil cement was higher than that from silicate, but the fluoride release of other experimental groups was similar to or lower than that of silicate cement. J 대학교 교육대학 3학년 학생들의 수와 연산 영역을 가르치는데 필요한 수학적 지식에 대한 사례연구 1

본 연구는 이현숙(2011)에 의해 한국어로 번안된, 수와 연산에 관한 ‘수학을 가르치는데 필요한 지식’(MKT)을 측정하는 문항들을 사용하여 2012년에 76명의 J 대학교 교육대학 초등 예비교사들을 대상으로 수와 연산에 관한 MKT를 측정하여 분석하였다. 분석된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, MKT 문항에 대한 선호도는 매우 긍정적이었으나, ‘수와 연산 영역에 대한 MKT’의 정답률은 높지 않았다. 둘째, 초등교사가 되었다고 가정했을 경우에 숙련된 교사에 의한 초임교사들의 수업 컨설팅에 대한 선호도는 높았다. 셋째, 각 영역별 정답률은 KCS 70.13%, SCK 55.71%, CCK 43.87%, KCT 29.27% 순이었다. 넷째, 각 유형별 정답률은 유형5, 6, 7이 60%이상이었으나 유형1, 2, 3, 4, 8은 60% 미만으로 분석되었다. 따라서 초등 예비교사들의 MKT를 향상시키기 위해 J 대학교 교육대학 초등수학과교육에서 유형1, 2, 3, 4 및 8에 대한 교육을 강화시킬 필요가 있다.
