1P-691 A Study of Selective Methane Chlorination Reaction Using Sulfated Zirconia-Based Catalysts
김집,김영민,하경수,채호정 한국공업화학회 2017 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2017 No.1
Currently, the petrochemical industry in South Korea uses naphtha as main raw material. Naphtha has the advantage of being able to produce not only olefin products but also non-olefin products, but it is more expensive than natural gas and coal raw materials. As a alternative plan, C1 gas can be utilized. C1 gas is a valuable energy resource in that it can be used as basic chemical feedstock or transportation fuel through chemical conversion and it can cope with environmental climate change that can be caused by C1 gas through development of conversion technology. In this study, selective chlorination of methyl chloride was performed by methane chlorination reaction which does not require additional oxygen process and chlorine which can react at low temperature without high exothermic and endothermic reaction. Experiments were performed by synthesizing solid acid catalysts known to be active in the chlorination reaction.
