The effects of yield stress on various parameters of Delayed Hydride Cracking (DHC) in pressure tube materials were investigated by experimental tests and by comparing with theoretical models. The DHC test and tension test were conducted at 200℃ for three kinds of zirconium alloys. As yield stress decreased, the threshold stress intensity factor and the striation spacing increased in one alloy, white fracture surfaces and striation were affected by microstructures in all alloys. The DHC velocity decreased as yield stress decreased. Hence, the DHC velocity was predictable by yield stress and DHC model. However, the predicted velocity was a little higher than measured velocity due to slight microstructural differences. The decrease in yield stress improved the resistance against DHC phenomena in pressure tube materials.

In addition to the VRS-RTK service, FKP-RTK service launched recently in Korea however unlike VRS,it is not yet applied to various surveying tasks. VRS system is operated in two way communication over themobile Internet. When user send rover position data to network RTK server and the server provides correctiondata to users continuously. It causes to increase communications load and makes delaying or failure in datatransmission depends on server capacity and number of concurrent users. In contrast, since FKP system is oneway communication system, user only receives correction data and area correction parameters for the selectedContinuous Reference Station from the server. Thus, there is no limitation to the number of concurrent users inFKP system and it would be more efficient than VRS system in terms of economic. To this end, we performedFKP-RTK test for Unified Control Points and Urban Control Points where are located at 5 regions in Korea toevaluate the accuracy. As a result, almost of FKP positioning data are in error range of ±6.2cm in horizontal andit would be enough for construction survey such as for earth work in limited except precise structure survey. 최근 FKP방식의 네트워크RTK 서비스가 개시되었으나 VRS방식과는 달리 아직 여러 측량분야에서 널리 적용되지 못하고 있다. VRS방식은 이동국GPS의 현재 위치를 서버에 전송하고 그 지점의 위치보정신호를 수신하는 양방향 통신체계로 인터넷 회선의 부하가 가중되므로 서버 용량과 동시 접속자 수에 따라 위치보정신호의 전송이 실패하거나 지연되는 문제가 있다. 이에 반해 FKP방식은 일종의 방송 시스템으로 VRS와 같이 이동국의 현재 위치를 서버에 전송하지 않고 사용자가 최 인근 상시관측소를 직접 선택하여 위치보정신호와 면 보정계수를 수신하는단방향 통신체계로 운용된다. 따라서 FKP방식에서는 접속자 수와 관계없이 많은 사용자에 대한 위치보정 서비스가 가능하여 효율성이 매우 높으므로 경제적 측면에서 사용을 널리 확대할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본 실험에서는FKP-RTK의 정확도를 평가하고자 전국 5개 지역에 설치된 통합기준점과 도시기준점을 대상으로 측위 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, FKP 관측성과는 고시성과와 비교하여 대부분 ±6.2cm이내의 평면오차 범위 내에 들었으므로 정밀한 구조물의 측설 등에는 사용이 어려운 반면 토공사 등의 시공측량에는 충분히 적용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

With particular regards to the hepatitis A virus (HAV), a terminal dry-heat treatment (100°C for 30 min) process, following lyophilization, was developed to improve the virus safety of a solvent/detergent-treated antihemophilic factor IX concentrate. The loss of factor IX activity during dry-heat treatment was of about 3%, as estimated by a clotting assay. No substantial changes were observed in the physical and biochemical characteristics of the dry-heat-treated factor IX compared with those of the factor IX before dry-heat treatment. The dry-heat-treated factor IX was stable for up to 24 months at 4°C. The dry-heat treatment after lyophilization was an effective process for inactivating viruses. The HAV and murine encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) were completely inactivated to below detectable levels within 10 min of the dry-heat treatment. Porcine parvovirus (PPV) and bovine herpes virus (BHV) were potentially sensitive to the treatment. The log reduction factors achieved during lyophilization and dry-heat treatment were ≥5.60 for HAV, ≥6.08 for EMCV, 2.64 for PPV, and 3.59 for BHV. These results indicate that dry-heat treatment improves the virus safety of factor IX concentrates, without destroying the activity. Moreover, the treatment represents an effective measure for the inactivation of non-lipid enveloped viruses, in particular HAV, which is resistant to solvent/detergent treatment.
P-41 : Optimal Control of SMB process using RMPC Technique

A novel optimization-based advanced control technique for simulated moving bed (SMB) is proposed. This technique is a model-based control technique developed by adding the basic concept about Two-stage batch control to Repetitive model predictive control (RMPC) which is suited for periodic process. A linearized reduced order model, which accounts for the periodic nature of the SMB process, is used for online optimization and control. This control technique utilizes the past cycle data as well as the real-time measurements at the raffinate and extract outlets used as the feeback information. The calclulated input adjustment maximize the productivity and minimize the desorbent consumption subject to constraints on product purities. Through a application on a virtual SMB process, this approach was found to perform quite satisfactorily regardless of a series of typical plant disturbances and significant model uncertainties.
Correlation between MRI and Operative Findings in Bell's Palsy and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Purpose: To investigate the correlation between gadolinium enhanced magnetic resonance image (MRI) results and surgical findings of facial nerves in Bell’s palsy and Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Materials and Methods: From 1995 to 2004, MRI was performed on 13 patients with Bell’s palsy or Ramsay Hunt syndrome, who were offered with surgical decompression of the facial nerve through the middle cranial fossa approach. Gadolinium enhanced MRI was performed on all patients and the enhancement of the facial nerve was evaluated by radiology specialists. Operative findings including the degree of the facial nerve segment swelling were examined. Furthermore, the time interval from the onset of palsy to surgery was evaluated. Results: Swelling of facial nerve segments was found in patients with enhanced facial nerves from MRI. The swelling of the facial nerve in the labyrinthine segment in particular was identified in all patients with enhanced labyrinthine segments in MRI. The intraoperative swelling of geniculate ganglion of facial nerve was found in 78% of patients with enhanced facial segment in MRI (p=0.01). The intraoperative swelling of tympanic segment was observed from fourth to ninth weeks after the onset of palsy. Conclusion: MRI enhancement of facial nerves in Bell’s palsy and Ramsay Hunt syndrome is associated with the extent of intratemporal lesions of facial nerves, especially in the labyrinthine segment.

마이크로웨이브 플라즈마 CVD 다이아몬드 박막 성장 시 DC 바이어스 효과

실리콘 웨이퍼 기판 위에 MPCVD(Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition) 시스템을 이용하여 나노결정 다이아몬드 박막을 증착하였다. 공정 압력, 마이크로웨이브 전력, Ar/CH₄ 가스 조성비, 기판 온도를 일정하게 놓고, 기판에 -150 V의 직류 바이어스 전압의 인가 여부를 변수로 하고, 증착 시간을 0.5, 1, 2 시간으로 변화시켜 나노결정 다이아몬드 입자의 크기와 박막 두께의 성장 과정을 관찰하였다. 바이어스를 인가하였을 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해서 다이아몬드 입자의 핵생성 속도와 박막의 성장 속도가 현저히 큰 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
