This paper describes a compact Iron-cored Electronic Current Transformer(ECT) based on IEC 61850. The ECT developed in this study has the feature of designing the current transformer with a compact iron-core, compensating error due to the nonlinear characteristic of Iron-core, and applying IEC 61850 9-2 for sampled value(SMV). We verily the performance of the innovative product developed in the study in KERI and test the performance of digital communication in the lab.

The PHENIX MPC-EX is an W/Si pre-shower detector operating at small angles with respectto the beam in the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The Si Mini-Pad sensors are the activeelement of the detector. The expected hadron flux to the Si Mini-Pad sensors will generate significantnon-ionizing energy loss in the sensors, which may damage the crystalline structure of thesensor’s bulk material. We investigated the nature of the hadron flux to the Si Mini-Pad sensorsthrough a full simulation and determined its effect on the sensor’s characteristics based on a beamtest. The investigation showed key issues in designing a preshower detector using silicon sensorsand operating under a large neutron fluence and offered valuable information on the operation ofthe MPC-EX detector.

These experiments were carried out to see whether there is at 30。??1℃ any circadian rhythm in hatching, molting, metamorphosis and mating and also to find out a critical body weight for pupal metamorphosis in the Oriental tobacco budworm, Heliothis assulta Guenee. Major findings are as follows; 1. Most eggs laid during the dark period hatched in the light period of LD/16:8 regime. 2. In the constant dark regime, hatching was delayed by about 4 hrs when compared to LD/16:8 regime. 3. About half number of larvae from 1st to the penultimate instar molted in the dark period. 4. Newly molted 5th instar larvae weighing over 54.8mg underwent pupation after 160 hrs with adlib feeding, but those below the weight needed an additional larval instar before pupation. 5. Most(93%) of adult emergence occurred during about 6 hours 2 hrs before light-off to 4hrs after light-off. 6. Mating was observed in the dark period of the LD/16:8 regime with its peak activity from 2 hrs after light-off to 2 hrs before light-on. Mating frequencies became more concentrated during the above 4 hours with the age of female adults. ????????????
