Discharge measurement during flood season is very difficult. Microwave water surface current meter (MWSCM) can measures river surface velocities easily without contacting water. This study introduces its improved version, MWSCM for general use. The existing version of MWSCM is for floods so that its applicable period in a year is short. It has been improved to extend its applicability in a year. The range of measurable velocity for MWSCM for general use is extended so it can be applied during normal flows as well as high flows. MWSCM for general use can measure the velocity range of 0.03~20.0 m s-1, whereas MWSCM for floods can measure the velocity range of 0.5~10.0ms-1. To make such innovation of MWSCM for general use, the applied microwave frequency of MWSCM was changed from 10 GHz to 24 GHz. Waveguide slot array antenna has been designed with the new development of the circuit of transmitting and receiving part. Improvement requests on the existing MWSCM for floods - weight lightening, measured velocity stabilization, self-test, low power consumption, and waterproof and dampproof - from the users of it have been reflected for the development of the new version of MWSCM.

A strengthening technique for reinforced concrete beams using external unbonded reinforcement offers advantages in speed and simplicity of installation over other, established, strengthening techniques. The purpose of this paper is to analysis on a construction case about a structure strengthened by Bow system, namely external prestressing, for flexural strengthening of beams. The paper provides a general construction example description of a structure strengthened using the technique. It is shown that the technique can provide greater construction process enhancement to a general strengthening technique.

고등학교 과학 교사들의 공통과학 및 STS에 대한 인식도 조사 연구(2)

The aims of this study were investigated into common science and movement of the STS education which are concerned in newly reformed 6th curriculum. This data was surveyed on 120 high school science teachers who have experience for the workshop of the common science in Kwangju city and Chonnam province. The results were as follows: 1). They responded that Physics is more closely subject and thereby it could be charged for the common science by teacher of physics. 2). The 96.90% of the respondents have confidence with common science subject for the teaching of it. 3). They responded that scientific inquiry, knowledge, scientific attitude, STS for Common science subject goals will evaluate order of scientific inquiry, scientific attitude, knowledge, STS. 4). The 78.35% of repondents were not concerned about overlap with the contents of common science and each science contents. 5). They have no various scientific side knowledge about common science teaching. 6). They wondered about the many classes and reading materials on remarkable increases. 7). The 81.44% of the respondents were not recognized on the science systems of the middle school. 8). The results of the science workshop show that the respondents favored of the 2nd Topics which accepted the STS system and want to reestablish partially the its contents.

This paper is to study experimentally the ultimate strength of reinforced perforated composite beams. One perforated steel beam, one normal composite beam, two perforated composite beams and two composite beams with reinforced web openings according to the opening to the opening shape ratio. Moment-shear ratio was 330. Opening depth was 70% of steel beam depth. As the result, we could find out the following conclusions : 1. The concert slab in composite beam can increase up so much the strength of the beams. 2. By using reinforcement in the vicinity of openings, the ultimate strength of composite beams with web opening can increase up to that of composite beams without web openings. 3. The ultimate strength of perforated composite beams according to the moment-shear ratio was little concerned with opening length.

The internet shopping mall as one of the types of electronic commerce has proliferated rapidly since the middle of 1990 where Web technologies have played a major role in the growth of e-Commerce. The growth of Internet shopping mall is expected to be accelerated because it has a lot of incentive such as convenience, broader selections, competitive pricing, greater access to information, product quality, and time to receive product. Research on the services has been made on quality for a long time. Service quality is very important because of its ability to distinguish highly successful firms from those that are merely average. This paper deals with the service quality of the internet shopping mall in Japan and the purpose of this paper is to contribute to the enhancement of competitive advantage in service quality of domestic internet shopping mall by evaluating the users’ cognition of the service quality of internet shopping malls in Japan.

서론: 불안정성 쇄골 원위부 골절에 대하여 변형된 경견봉 강선 고정술과 갈고리형 금속판 고정술을 시행 후 결과를 비교하였다. 대상 및 방법: Neer 분류 제 2형 골절에 대하여 경견봉 강선 고정술 혹은 갈고리형 금속판 고정술을 시행하고 1년 이상 추시가 가능하였던 24명을 대상으로 하였다. 경견봉 강선 고정술(group I)을 시행한 경우가 12명, 갈고리형 금속판 고정술(group II)을 시행한 경우가 12명이었다. 정복 및 골유합의 평가는 수술 직후 및 최종 방사선 사진을 이용하였고, 기능적 평가는 최종 추시 시의 UCLA score 및 Constant-Murley score를 측정하여 비교하였다. 결과: 수술 뒤 group I은 평균 10주, group II는 평균 11.7주에 모든 예에서 골유합을 관찰할 수 있었다. 최종 추시 시의 평균 UCLA score는 group I은 33점, group II는 32.8점이었으며, 평균 Constant score는 group I은 88.5점, group II는 88.8점으로 두 기능적 평가 결과 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 결론: Neer 분류 제 2형 원위 쇄골 골절에서 경견봉 강선 고정술과 갈고리형 금속판 고정술은 만족할 만한 결과를 얻을 수 있어 모두 유용한 방법으로 생각된다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical and radiological outcomes of two surgical treatments, transacromial pin fixation and hook plate fixation, for unstable distal clavicle fractures. Materials and Methods: Twenty four patients with Neer type II distal clavicle fractures who underwent surgery with transacromial pin fixation (Group I: 12 patients) and hook plate fixation (Group II: 12 patients) were included. Reduction and union were evaluated using plain radiographs. Functional evaluation was performed according to UCLA score and Constant-Murley score at last follow-up. Results: All 24 cases showed bone union. Complete union took an average of 10 weeks for group I and 11.7 weeks for group II. Average UCLA score was 33 (group I) and 32.8 (group II). Average Constant score was 88.5 (group I) and 88.8 (group II). No significant difference for each variable was observed between the two groups. Conclusion: For the surgical treatment of Neer type II distal clavicle fractures, transacromial pin fixation and hook plate fixation are both useful methods.
