Objectives Although antipsychotic drug clozapine has superior efficacy, this is hampered by metabolic side effects such as weight gain and diabetes. Recent studies demonstrate that clozapine induces insulin resistance. However, the identity and location of insulin resistance induced by clozapine has not been clarified. In this study, the effect of clozapine on central insulin response was investigated in rats. Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats received intraperitoneal injection of clozapine or vehicle, which was followed by intracerebroventricular injection of insulin or its vehicle. The effects of clozapine on insulin-induced changes in blood glucose level and Akt phosphorylation in hypothalamus were investigated. Results Intraperitoneal injection of clozapine (20 mg/kg) increased blood glucose in rats. Intracerebroventricular injection of insulin reduced blood glucose in rats, which was blunted by pretreatment of clozapine. Accompanied with the antagonistic effect of clozapine to central insulin action in terms of blood glucose, clozapine inhibited the insulin-induced phosphorylation of Akt at Ser473 in rat hypothalamus. Conclusion Administration of clozapine inhibited the central insulin-induced changes in blood glucose and Akt phosphorylation in rat hypothalamus. These findings suggest that hypothalamus could be the site of action for the clozapine-induced insulin resistance.

화자적응과 군집화를 이용한 화자식별 시스템의 성능 및 속도 향상

One key factor that hinders the widespread deployment of speaker identification technologies is the requirement of long enrollment utterances to guarantee low error rate during identification. To gain user acceptance of speaker identification technologies, adaptation algorithms that can enroll speakers with short utterances are highly essential. To this end, this paper applies MLLR speaker adaptation for speaker enrollment and compares its performance against other speaker modeling techniques: GMMs and HMM. Also, to speed up the computational procedure of identification, we apply speaker clustering method which uses principal component analysis (PCA) and weighted Euclidean distance as distance measurement. Experimental results show that MLLR adapted modeling method is most effective for short enrollment utterances and that the GMMs performs better when long utterances are available.

Electrum-sulfide minerals of the Namsan Au-Ag mine were deposited in two stages of quartz and calcite veins that fill fault planes in Mesozoic granitic rocks (230~155 Ma). The K/Ar radiometric dating of hydrothermal sericite indicates that mineralization is early Cretaceous age ($127{\pm}3.0Ma$). Mineralogic, fluid inclusion and sulfur isotopic data show that ore minerals were deposited at temperatures between $340^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$ from fluid with salinities of 3 to 6 equiv. wt % NaCl. Evidence of fluid boiling (and $CO_2$ effervescence) indicates a maximum pressures of 100 bars. The formation temperature and $fs_2$, of Au-mineralization from the Namsan mines are mainly $280{\sim}230^{\circ}C$ and $10^{-11}{\sim}10^{-13}$ atm, respectively. Au deposition was likely a result of boiling caused to chemical change (pH, $f_{O2}$, ${\Sigma}_{H_2S{\cdot}{\cdot}}$) of ore-fluids. Sulfur isotope composition of sulfide minerals (${\delta}^{34}S=5.1$ to 8.2‰) are consistent with ${\delta}^{34}S_{{\Sigma}{H2S}}$ value of +6 to +7‰, suggesting an igneous source of sulfur partially mixed with wall-rock sulfur.

Major depressive disorder is characterized by cellular and molecular alterations resulting in the depressive behavioral phenotypes. Preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated the deficits, including cell atrophy and loss, in limbic and cortical regions of patients with depression, which is restored with antidepressants by reestablishing proper molecular changes. These findings have implicated the involvement of relevant intracellular signaling pathways in the pathogenetic and therapeutic mechanisms of depressive disorders. This review summarizes the current knowledge of the signal transduction mechanisms related to depressive disorders, including cyclic-AMP, mitogen-activated protein kinase, Akt, and protein translation initiation signaling cascades. Understanding molecular components of signaling pathways regulating neurobiology of depressive disorders may provide the novel targets for the development of more efficacious treatment modalities.

조현병 환자의 언어성 환청과 정신병리의 PANSS 요인들 간의다차원적 관계

Objectives This study was aimed to examine the multidimensional relationship between auditory verbal hallucinations (AVHs) and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) factors of psychopathology in the patients with schizophrenia. And we explored the differences between assessments to hallucination by the clinicians and patients. Methods 82 patients with schizophrenia who were assessed by the Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia Voices Questionnaire (HPSVQ), Psychotic Symptom Rating Scale-Auditory Hallucination (PSYRATS-AHS), and the PANSS were recruited. Hwang's five-factor model of PANSS, items and total scores of hallucination scales, Kim's and Haddock's factor models of hallucination were applied to examine the correlations between psychopathology and AVHs. AVH-positive patients was 50 in PANSS-HPSVQ group and 24 in PANSS-PSYRATS-AHS. These two groups were separately analyzed. Results Among the five factors of the PANSS, negative and depression/anxiety factors were correlated with the total scores of HPSVQ and PSYRATS-AHS, and positive and autistic preoccupation factors were correlated only with the total score of PSYRATS-AHS. The activation factor was correlated with none of the total scores of HPSVQ/PSYRATS-AHS. These correlation patterns of a total score of HPSVQ/PSYRATS-AHS were same in the emotional factor of HPSVQ and physical factor of PSYRATS-AHS respectively. In the items which showed significant correlations, correlation coefficients of PANSS-PSYRATS-AHS group ranged between 0.406-0.755 and those of PANSS-HPSVQ ranged between 0.283-0.420. Conclusions This study suggested that the psychopathological domains of schizophrenia were differentially correlated with AVHs and the assessment of AVHs by clinicians and patients showed substantial differences which should be integrated into the therapeutic interventions.

생성형 AI 를 활용한 Text-to-Video 컨텐츠 제작 및 분석

최근 ChatGPT 를 포함한 여러 생성형 AI 들이 상용화되면서 IT 를 비롯한 모든 산업 분야에서는 인공지능의 활용 사례에 주목하고 있다. 그동안 인간의 영역이라고 여겨졌던 창작 역시 예외 없이 인공지능의 도입을 맞이하고 있으며 이에 따라 미디어 컨텐츠 및 예술 분야의 구조가 크게 변동될 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 생성형 AI 를 이용하여 하나의 창의적인 video 를 완성시키고, 현 시점에서 Text-to-Video 모델의 기술적 한계와 완전한 영상 생성 자동화 flow 를 구축하기 위해서 필요한 알고리즘을 모색한다. 비디오 제작을 위해 ChatGPT 를 이용하여 영상 시나리오를 제작하였고 Picfinder 라는 Text-to-Image AI 를 통해 주요 scene 들의 스틸이미지를 얻었으며 이를 Pika Lab AI 에 입력하여 이미지를 통해 영상을 생성하였다. 완성된 영상을 시중에 공개되어 있는 AI-generated video demo 들과 비교하며 AI 가 잘 생성할 수 있는 영상의 구성적 특징을 파악하고 퀄리티 있는 영상을 얻기 위해 아직까지 인간의 개입이 불가피한 요소들을 분석하였다. 최종적으로 본 논문은 향후 Text-to-Video 기술이 개선되었을 때 활용할 수 있는 가이드라인을 제시하고 있다.

This study was performed to analyze the velocity and temperature distributions of the land aquaculture tank for fish breeding. In this study, we analyzed the velocity and temperature distributions in aquatium tank, and the finite volume method and standard k-ε turbulence model with the SIMPLE computational algorithm are used to study the water flow in the aquarium. The main calculation parameters of the aquarium tank are the inlet flow rate with from 0.5 to 2.0L/M.

토픽 모델링으로 살펴본 한국사회의 기본소득 담론 전개

이 논문은 학술․언론․시민사회 영역에서 이루어진 기본소득에 대한 논의를 조망함으로써, 기본소득 담론의 지평을 확대하고 효과적인 정책 입안에 기여하기 위한 일환으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 연구에서는 토픽 모델링 기법을 활용하여 학술논문, 뉴스콘텐츠, 트위터에서 나타나는 주요 이슈와 토픽을 분석하고 시기에 따른 변화 양상을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 한국사회의 기본소득에 대한 논의는 학술․언론․시민사회 영역에 따라 다양하게 전개되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학술 영역에서는 기본소득의 법적/제도적, 이념적, 철학적 근거에 주목한 반면, 언론 및 시민사회 영역에서는 ‘청년배당’, ‘선거공약’ 등 기본소득 관련 정책의 입안이나 시행에 대한 논의가 주를 이루었다. 특히 기본소득 논의 전개 과정에서 시기적 변화 양상이 뚜렷하게 관찰되었는데, 2016년 이후 4차 산업혁명으로 나타나게 될 노동시장 구조의 재편과 사회적 변화에 주목하면서 사회적 변화에 대응 방안으로써의 기본소득이 주요 토픽으로 등장하였다. 또한, 2020년 이후 코로나19에 따른 국가적 위기 상황으로 인하여 재난지원금 등 기본소득의 즉각적 추진에 대한 논의가 언론 및 시민사회 영역에서 부상하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 일련의 사회적 변화로 인하여 기본소득이 이념적 성향을 뛰어넘어 보편적인 사회정책으로 인식되는 계기가 마련되었음을 시사한다. This study explores the discourses on basic income in academic, media, and civil society domains to expand the current landscape of the discussions on basic income and elicit effective political intervention. We analyze the main issues and topics in academic papers, news articles, and Twitter using topic modeling techniques. The result shows that the discussion on basic income in Korean society is developing in various ways according to the academic, media, and civil society fields. In the academic field, attention was paid to the legal/institutional, ideological, and philosophical foundations of basic income, while in the media and civil society fields, the main discussion was on the legislation or implementation of basic income-related policies such as youth dividend. More importantly, the discourses on basic income have changed significantly over time. In line with the social changes accompanied by the 4th industrial revolution, basic income has been recognized as a measure that counters the transitions in the labor market structure. In addition, the national crisis caused by COVID-19 in 2020 has accelerated the immediate application of basic income such as disaster subsidies. This research suggests that the series of social changes have led basic income to be acknowledged as a universal social policy beyond ideological inclination.
