Since Cubists represented a way of expressing image moving away from traditional illusion effect, new realities represented by collage and assemblage. Furthermore, Marcel Duchamp, a French Dadaist, suggested the concept of ready-made that everyday objects exhibited in an odd way in a gallery. These early fine art cases highly influenced to furniture design in the second half of the twentieth century. The use of objects in contemporary furniture is closely related to the emergence of Pop Art in the late 1950s and that of Postmodernism. After the 1970s the use of found objects were frequently utilized in furniture design of all over the countries. As an ecological issue became a new consideration to furniture designers, found objects also gave a chance to use recycled materials. Even in studio furniture area which is considered wood as a major material at the early stage, many studio furniture designers began to adapt found objects in their designs as a new source of Inspiration after the 1970s. This study explored various examples of found objects in furniture design and examined the meaning of the use in different designers and regions.

이 연구는 한국복지패널을 활용하여 한국인의 주관적인 행복 수준을 설명하는 요인으로서의 열망과 소득 혹은 소비의 경제 수준 간 역동적인 역할을 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 소비와 경상소득 및 가처분소득, 자산의 소득 환산액 그리고 소득인정액으로 세분화한 가구 및 개인의 경제 수준과 경제적 열망이 개인의 행복을 증진시키는 데에 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 기여하지만, 두 특성의 상호작용은 오히려 행복을 저해한다는 사실을 확인하였다. 이 사실을 바탕으로, 필요에 의해 증폭되는 열망을 관리할 수 있는 정책기제가 요구된다고 할 수 있다.

A majority of previous studies on Korean English learners' collocational competence have largely put a focus on the categorization of collocations and its impact on the collocation use in the context of language teaching. Collocational studies have received little attention in the field of linguistics. Assuming that exemplars for each collocation are accumulated with additional non-linguistic details as proposed by Exemplar Model, the present study aims to examine lexical frequency effect on Korean English learners' collocational competence and its implication to the understanding of the mental lexicon. In the present study, advanced learners of English participated in a visual multiple choice task in the E-prime setting. They were asked to complete collocations by clicking an appropriate button in 5 multiple choices presented on the screen. Accuracy rates and response time were obtained in the experimental task. The analysis of the experimental result revealed that structure of collocations (i.e., category1: verb+ noun, category 2: adjective + noun) turned out not to be a significant factor affects accuracy rates and response time. Only lexical frequency turned out to be an important factor affects both accuracy rate and response time: high frequency collocations had a higher accuracy rate than lower frequency ones. Also high frequency ones had shorter response time than low frequency ones. These results may imply that the more frequently a collocation is used, the more exemplars are stored in the mental lexicon and the collocation is quickly accessed and produced as accounted for by Exemplar Model.
국민기초생활보장제도 수급자 실태 및 정책 경험 분석과 함의

이 글에서는 「2018년 국민생활실태조사」 원자료를 분석한 결과를 활용하여 최근 국민기초생활보장제도 수급자의 인구사회학적 특성을 확인하고 수급 신청 및 선정, 그리고 탈수급 경험과 인식을 확인하였다. 분석결과, 수급자의 필요와 경제력에 따라 지원받을 수 있는 생계·의료·주거급여 수급자와 교육급여 수급자 간 인구사회학적 특성과 수급 진입 경험의 이질성을 확인하였다. 또한 최근 부양의무자 기준 단계적 폐지 등 제도 개선 실적이 누적되면서 수급 진입이나 탈출의 양태도 변화하고 있다. 제도 본연의 목적대로 생활이 어려운 사람에게 필요한 급여를 실시하여 가난하더라도 기본적인 삶의 수준을 보장하고 궁극적으로는 자립할 수 있도록 지원하기 위하여 대상자를 고려하는 전략적 대응 방안을 모색할 때이다.

Design process is a dynamic process in which numerous intermediate design artifacts and information are interwoven. On the other hand, designer's design activities are major elements which drive the evolution of the design process. As the analysis of design process requires multi-faceted inspection of design activities and involved design issues and concepts, effective externalization of design thinking has been the important task in design research. The verbal protocol analysis has been the most utilized experiment method while it is not only perfect solution but requires laborous work. As the design environment is rapidly shifting to the digital counterpart, the representation method of design process as well as design process capturing are desired to be digitalized and information rich. The assumption is that the design process can be effectively captured by the presented system and it can help both designers and tutors review and analyze the design process. It should also help novice designers learn from expert designer's design process. The system represents design process pattern in a graphic interactive environment. It also provides various useful features to enhance the analysis of design process. This paper presents theoretical groundwork and development process of the design process visualizer. The representation model is presented, and the application of the system is reviewed. Discussions on the further development directions include critical evaluation of the system.

The study of Lurelle Van Arsdale Guild (1898- 1986)’s vanity table and stool in the Cooper- Hewitt National Design Museum is essential to understand how the stylistic change was made on industrial design in the 1930s caused by economic necessity. The vanity furniture expresses in such relatively inexpensive image transformations that would attract new customers in the Depression. The objects are donated from a collector and became one of CHM’s collections in 1997. In curatorial file, other than the designer’s and manufacturer’s names there is nothing specified for these objects. Therefore, this study is aimed for researching the exact date for these valuable objects for understanding American Art Deco furniture in the 1930s. Moreover, studying social aspect of these objects gives clear vision for the background. Especially, the History of American Standard (Rodengen, 1999) gives great over view to the history of the manufacturer, C. F. Church Company. The record in Fortune of 1934 suggests the designer, Lurelle Guild’s position among other industrial designers at that time. And Profoundly, the objects were assigned design patents. Therefore, the vanity furniture set in the CHM was a significant symbol of early modernism rising from functional areas after the Depression.
