Al substituted CoAl<SUB>0.5</SUB>Fe<SUB>1.5</SUB>O₄ has been studied with x-ray and neutron diffraction, Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetization measurements. CoAl<SUB>0.5</SUB>Fe<SUB>1.5</SUB>O₄ revealed a cubic spinel structure of ferrimagnetic long range ordering at room temperature, with magnetic moments of Fe³?(A)(?2.29 μ<SUB>B</SUB>), Fe³?(B)(3.81 μ<SUB>B</SUB>), Co²?+(B) (2.66 μ<SUB>B</SUB>), respectively. The temperature dependence of themagnetic hyperfine field in ??Fe nuclei at the tetrahedral (A) and octahedral (B) sites was analyzed based on the Neel theory of magnetism. In the sample of CoAl<SUB>0.5</SUB>Fe<SUB>1.5</SUB>O₄, the intersublattice A-B interaction and intrasublattice A-A superexchange interaction were antiferromagnetic with strengths of J<SUB>A-B</SUB>= ?19.3 ± 0.2 k<SUB>B</SUB> and J<SUB>A-A</SUB> = ?21.6 ± 0.2 k<SUB>B</SUB>, respectively, while the intrasublattice B-B superexchange interaction was found to be ferromagnetic with a strength of J<SUB>B-B</SUB>= 3.8 ± 0.2 k<SUB>B</SUB>.

This study aims to model Korean prosodic phrasing using CART(classification and regression tree) method. Our data are limited to Korean read speech. We used 400 sentences made up of editorials, essays, novels and news scripts. Professional radio actress read 400sentences for about two hours. We used K-ToBI transcription system. For technical reason, original break indices 1,2 are merged into AP. Differ from original K-ToBI, we have three break index Zero, AP and IP. Linguistic information selected for this study is as follows: the number of syllables in ‘Eojeol’, the location of ‘Eojeol’ in sentence and part-of-speech(POS) of adjacent ‘Eojeol’s. We trained CART tree using above information as variables. Average accuracy of predicting NonIP(Zero and AP) and IP was 90.4% in training data and 88.5% in test data. Average prediction accuracy of Zero and AP was 79.7% in training data and 78.7% in test data.

Kyung-p-1 main line is characterized by its curves radii of which are considerably small. It is essential for running time reduction of train to improve capabilities of curve negotiation. This improvement can be achieved by designing a bogie with flexible suspension system. The effect of the improvement is mainly concerned in the primary yaw stiffness of bogie suspension. This paper gives a linear analysis for the motion of railway vehicle on curved track and gives also computer simulation results for Semaul Train. The results introduce a conclusion that the primary yaw stiffness of Semaul train is too rigid to be self-steering on Kyung-pu main line curves.

Dynamics of railway vehicles are strongly influenced by the wheel/rail contact forces. Wheel/rail contact geometric characteristics are important parameters to determining wheel/rail contact forces. In general, geometric relations between wheel and rail are represented by nonlinear functions of the wheelset lateral excursion and the relative yaw angle. There are some analytical and experimental studies to show the influences of the wheelset lateral displacement on wheel/rail geometric relations. Recently radial steering bogie which is designed to have flexible yaw motions of wheelsets was developed to improve curve negotiation performance. The radial steering bogie makes it important problem to study the effects of wheelset yaw motion on wheel/rail geometric relations. This paper describes the method to analyze 3-dimensional wheel/rail contact geometry considering wheelset yaw motion and describes also some computer simulation results.
분자선 증착법에 의해 성장한 MnTe 박막의 자기적 및 전기수송 특성

분자선 증착법을 이용하여 MnTe 박막을 Si(100):B 및 Si(111) 기판 위에 성장시켰다. 두개의 K-cell을 사용하여 기판온도 $400^{\circ}C$ 및 Te가 풍부한 조건에서 MnTe 합성이 잘 이루어졌다. 이 경우 증착속도는 $1.1 {\AA}/s$이었고 성장된 층의 두께는 $700{\AA}$ 정도이었다. 합성된 MnTe 박막들에 대하여 X선회절, 초전도 양자 간섭계, Physical Property Measurement System, 홀효과 측정 등을 사용하여 그 구조적, 자기적, 전기적 특성들을 조사하였다. X선회절 측정 결과 Si(100) : B및 Si(111)기판 위에 성장된 MnTe는 다결정성의 hexagonal 구조를 나타내었으며, 자기적, 전기적 특성 측정 결과 분말형태의 MnTe와 비교하여 매우 다른 특성을 나타내었다. Zero-field-cooling(ZFC) 및 field-cooling(FC) 조건에서 취해진 자화율 측정에서 다결정 박막은 21 K, 49K, 210K 근처에서 자기적 전이 현상을 보였으며, ZFC와 FC 자화율 사이의 큰 불가역성이 나타났다. MnTe박막의 5K와 300K에서의 자기이력곡선은 강자성 상태를 나타내었으며 잔류자화값과 보자력은 5 K에서 $M_R= 3.5emu/cm^3$와 $H_c=55Oe$를, 300 K에서 $M_R= 2.1emu/cm^3$와 $H_c=44Oe$로 나타났다. 전기수송 특성 측정 결과, 온도에 따른 비저항은 저온에서 Mott variable range hopping 전도특성을 나타내는 전형적인 반도체 성질을 보여주었다. MnTe layers of high crystalline quality were successfully grown on Si(100) : B and Si(111) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Under tellurium-rich condition and the substrate temperature around $400^{\circ}C$, a layer thickness of $700{\AA}$ could be easily obtained with the growth rate of $1.1 {\AA}/s$. We investigated the structural, magnetic and transport properties of MnTe layers by using x-ray diffraction (XRD), superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometry, and physical properties measurement system (PPMS). Characterization of MnTe layers on Si(100) : B and Si(111) substrates by XRD revealed a hexagonal structure of polycrystals with lattice parameters, ${\alpha}=4.143{\pm}0.001{\AA}\;and\;c=6.707{\pm}0.001{\AA}$. Investigation of magnetic and transport properties of MnTe films showed anomalies unlike antiferromagnetic powder MnTe. The temperature dependence of the magnetization data taken in zero-field-tooling (ZFC) and field-cooling (FC) conditions indicates three magnetic transitions at around 21, 49, and 210 K as well as the great irreversibility between ZFC and FC magnetization in the films. These anomalies are attributable to a magnetic-elastic coupling in the films. Magnetization measurements indicate ferromagnetic behaviour with hysteresis loops at 5 and 300 K for MnTe polycrystalline film. The coercivity ($H_c$) values at 5 and 300 K are 55 and 44 Oe, respectively. In electro-transport measurements, the temperature dependence of resistivity revealed a noticeable semiconducting behaviours and showed conduction via Mott variable range hopping at low temperatures.
Ni0.65Zn0.35Cu0.3Fe1.7O₄의 결정학적 및 자기적 특성 연구

Ni_(0.65)Zn_(0.35)Cu_(0.3)Fe_(1.7)O₄ has been studied with x-ray diffraction, Mossbauer spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer. The crystal structure is found to be a cubic spinel with the lattice constant a_0 = 8.403 Å. Mossbauer spectra of Ni_(0.65)Zn_(0.35)Cu_(0.3)Fe_(1.7)O₄ have been taken at various tempertures ranging from 12 K to 665 K. As the temperature increases toward T_N a systematic line broadening effect in the Mossbauer spectrum is observed and interpreted to originate from different temperature dependencies of the magnetic hyperfine fields at various iron sites. Also, by using binomial distribution equation we obtained the hyperfine fields of tetrahedral[A] and octahedral sites[B], Hhf(A) = 470 kOe, Hhf(B_0) = 495 kOe, Hhf(B₁) = 485 kOe, Hhf(B₂) = 453 kOe, Hhf(B₃) = 424 kOe, Hhf(B₄)= 390 kOe and Hhf(Bavr.) = 451 kOe respectively at room temperature. The isomer shift indicates that the iron ions are ferric at tetrahedral[A] and octahedral sites[B], respectively. The Neel temperature is determined to be T_N = 665 K. The results of the VSM data gave the magnetic moment and coercivity values of Ms = 66 emu/g and Hc = 36 Oe.
Al을 치환한 Garnet의 Mossbauer 분포 함수 연구

Al³+ substituted garnet Y₃Fe_(5-x)AlxO₁₂(x=0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0) was fabricated by sol-gel method. The crystallographic and magnetic properties of Y₃Fe_(5-x)AlxO₁₂ have been studied with Mossbauer spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and vibrating samples magnetometer (VSM). The crystal structure of Y₃Fe_5O₁₂ is found to be a cubic with the lattice constant α_0=12.381±0.005 Å. The lattice constants α_0 decreases linearly from 12.381 to 12.304 A as the Al concentration (x) increases from x = 0.0 to 1.0. Mossbauer spectra of measured at Y₃Fe_(5-x)AlxO₁₂ various absorber temperatures of 13 to 600 K. Mossbauer spectrum for x = 0.0 is consist of well resolved two sets of six line patterns. While with increasing Al concentration outer sextet pattern, which is originating from octahedral sites, broadens widely. These phenomena are interpreted in terms of random probability distributions of Fe³+ and Al³+ in tetrahedral site.
