In the rabbits, the tensile strengthes of the intact tissues of central cornea, limbus and sclera 5㎜ posterior to the limbus were measured in 10 pieces respectively to compare with each other. The changes of tensile strength in the process of wound healing were observed. In order to investigate the effect of suture on tensile strength, the tensile strength was measured in the healed wound with suture remained for a month to compare with that of the wound with suture removed. The difference of the tensile strength in the central cornea between the wound sutured immediately after perforation and that resutured three days after perforation was measured and the results obtained were as follows: 1. The wound tensile strength of the outer coat of they eyeball in the pieces of 4㎜ width was the highest in the limbus as 1117±205.7gm, the next in the central cornea as 1027±154.1gm and the lowest in the sclera as 986±188gm. 2. In the aspect of tensile strength, the patterns of wound healing had similarities that the increasing rates of the tensile strength were most marked between the second and the third week after suture of the wound. There after the tensile strength had a tendency to become less increased in course of time. As the results of observation during six months, the tensile strength of the wound healing reached about one-half of total in the first one month. 3. If group A which was measured after removal of suture was compared with group B with remained, the latter was larger than the former in the values of the tensile strength until the third week and it become almost equal values after the first one month without marked difference. 4. In the second and the third week, there was a tendency that the tensile strength of the tissues which was obtained by resuture three days after perforation was larger than that immediate suture of the central cornea.

우리나라 컨테이너항만 개발은 수요와 공급 논리에 따르기보다는 지역균형발전과 같은 정책적 고려에 의해 이루어진 측면이 강하다. 광양항의 시설공급 과잉뿐만 아니라 울산 신항, 포항 영일신항 등 지역 소규모 컨테이너 항만들이 운영에 어려움을 겪고 있는 것이 이를 반증한다. 특히, 지리적으로 인접한 일부 항만들이 중복되는 국내 시장을 대상으로 하고 있어서 항만 운영 활성화가 어려울 뿐만 아니라 지역적 국가적으로도 낭비 요인이 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 부산항, 광양항, 인천항, 평택항, 울산항 등 5개 항만을 대상으로 각 항만의 특성을 실증 자료를 기반으로 분석하여 각 항만의 특성과 위상을 구체적으로 제시하여 향후 항만개발에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 해당 항만의 환적 및 수출입화물 집중도, 항만별 대륙 기종점 현황, 항만별 우리나라 내륙 기종점 현황 등의 시계열 자료를 분석하여 항만을 분류하고 기능을 정립하였다. Container port development in Korea seems to be based on the policy of balanced regional development rather than demand and supply theory. The problem of overcapacity and low utilization faced by several ports such as Kwangyang, Ulsan New Port and Phohang Youngil New Port can back up this. Furthermore as some ports are located closely sharing the same domestic hinterland the revitalization of the ports is not easy resulting in wasting resources with both regional and national aspect. This study, therefore, aims at providing an empirical results for the container port classification of the 5 ports such as Busan, Kwangyang, Incheon, Pyeongtaek and Ulsan. For this several time series data for the ports such as transshipment containers, import and export containers, origin and destination countries, and local origin and destination are analysed. Based on the results of the analysis the 5 container ports are classified together with their practical roles, and the functional overlap of the port including Phohang was analysed.
