A study to maximize the crash energy absorption efficiency within the limits of crash space

The design of an engine room is important to protect the passenger from a crash impact by improving the absorption of the crash impact energy. The side member in the engine room absorbs most of the crash impact energy when the vehicle experiences a frontal crash. The side member is of two types: hat and ‘U.’ Analysis of the extent of energy absorption and the mechanism of the side member are necessary through a collapse mode in various load conditions. In this study, the design of experiments was used for evaluating the characteristics of the absorption of crash energy by side members through design variables. First, crash analysis was performed by experiment number extracted from the design of the experiment. Then, using the results of crash analysis, multiple regressions were conducted and sensitivity analysis performed for each design variable. Finally, the optimum design was developed for maximizing the absorption energy per unit weight considering various boundary conditions. In the present study, as a basic step for modeling the fatigue behavior of an extruded Al alloy cylinder, the fatigue crack growth data of the alloy was collected in two orientations. Microstructural analysis revealed that the material had recrystallized grains and clusters of constituent particles aligned in the direction of extrusion. Fatigue life of the samples revealed a shorter fatigue life representing a higher fatigue crack growth rate in the transverse direction.
방송사 건물의 친환경 설계 적용 요소에 대한 에너지 소비 분석 연구

This study is expected to provide some basic data on how to apply more economical and efficient eco-friendly factors to reduce the carbonemissions. It has been scrutinized and analyzed the environmental factors of passive eco-friendly elements along with active eco-friendlyelements as more efficient factors for energy conservation based on the case of a newly constructed broadcasting building with the greenbuilding certification in Sangam-dong DMC area. The first analysis was the energy consumption trends in Korea and the necessity of energysaving. Secondly, it was examined the energy consumption in the current status of the broadcasting building. Thirdly, it was looked into thecorrelation between the eco-friendly design application factors applied to the broadcasting building and the energy consumption types. As aresult of the analysis, the application of fan and feed pump inverter along with ventilation system of waste heat recovery ventilation systemwere more meaningful in accordance with the economic feasibility of broadcasting buildings rather than economical effect of passive elementssuch as rooftop garden, reinforcement of building insulation. Also, the application of lighting control had the economical feasibility. Therefore,when it is intended to change the green building certification energy related evaluation items of the similar broadcasting building types, it isnecessary to change the direction of adding weight to the more economical active element items in the future 본 연구는 상암동 DMC지역에 신축된 A방송사 건물을 대상으로 친환경설계 적용 사례를 통하여 패시브 친환경 요소들과 액티브 친환경 요소들 중에서 어떤 친환경 요소들이 에너지 절감에 좀 더 효율적인 요소인지에 대하여 조사, 분석하여 향후에 신축되는 방송사건물은 좀 더 경제적이고 효율적인 친환경 요소들을 적용하는 것에 도움이 되고자 하는 목적이 있다. 방송사건물의 친환경건축 적용요소를 경제성 기준으로 분석해본 결과 옥상정원, 건축물단열 강화, 고효율 창유리, 루버에 의한 외피부하 저감, 자연 채광 등의 패시브 요소의 경제적 효과보다는 팬 및 급수펌프의 인버터 적용, 폐열회수 환기장치 적용, 조명제어 적용 등 액티브 요소의 초기투자비 대비 경제적 효과가 훨씬 우수하게 나타났다. 그러므로 향후 유사 방송사건물의 친환경건축 요소를 적용함에 있어서는 초기투자비 대비 좀 더 경제적인 액티브 요소를 적용하는 것이 향후 신축되는 방송사 건물의 경제성 향상 및 CO2 배출 절감에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.
