Modal characteristics of a cracked beam with a concentrated mass undergoing rotational motion are investigated in this paper. Hybrid deformation variables are employed to derive the equations of motion of a rotating cantilever beam. The flexibility due to crack, which is assumed to be open during the vibration, is calculated basing on a fracture mechanics theory. To obtain more general information, the equations of motion are transformed into a dimensionless form in which dimensionless parameters are identified. The effects of the dimensionless parameters related to the angular speed, the depth and location of a crack and the size and location of a concentrated mass on the modal characteristics of the beam are investigated numerically.

A modeling method for the modal analysis of a multi-packet blade system having tapered cross section undergoing rotational motion is presented in this paper. Blades are idealized as tapered cantilever beams that are fixed to a rotating disc. The stiffness coupling effects between blades due to the flexibilities of the disc and the shroud are modeled with discrete springs. Hybrid deformation variables are employed to derive the equations of motion. To obtain more general information, the equations of motion are transformed into dimensionless forms in which dimensionless parameters are identified. The effects of the dimensionless parameters including tapered ratio and the number of packets as well as blades on the modal characteristics of the system are investigated with some numerical examples.

Objectives:The current study investigated the personality characteristics of parents of children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), which is commonly used in clinical medicine. Methods:Participants were 117 parents of children with ADHD (96 boys and 21 girls) and 77 parents of comparison children (50 boys and 27 girls), who completed the Korean version of the MMPI. Results:The MMPI scores of the fathers of ADHD children were significantly higher on the Psychopathic Deviate (Pd), Masculinity-Femininity (Mf), Paranoia (Pa), and Psychasthenia (Pt) scales than the comparison group’s were. In addition, the mothers of ADHD children had higher MMPI scores on the traits of Hypochondriasis (Hs), Psychopathic Deviate (Pd), and Schizophrenia (Sc) than the comparisong roup had, but were not significantly higher. Conclusion:The fathers of ADHD children might be antisocial, irresolute, passive, paranoid, and anxious. In addition, mothers of ADHD children might have hypochondriacal, antisocial, and/or psychological confusional traits, but these were not be significantly high. These results suggest that the psychopathology of parents of ADHD children might correlate with their children’s ADHD.

본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 기반으로 빅데이터 활용하여 송아지 질병 예찰 시스템을 설계하였다. 송아지 질병에서 폐사율이 가장 높은 설사증을 중심으로 연구하였다. 이는 축산농가, 수의사, 축산 관련기관이 현장에서 즉각적으로 이용할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 사물인터넷 기반으로 신생송아지의 신체검사 정보 관리 데이터베이스 설계, 건강한 개체와 설사 개체의 설사유발 병원체 정량화 자료 데이터베이스 설계, 데이터베이스를 활용하여 추론하고, 설사병을 조기에 감별할 수 있는 빅데이터 플렛폼을 설계함으로써 국내 축산 농가의 주요 생산성 저하 질병인 한우 송아지 설사의 표준화된 종합 관리 매뉴얼의 확립 및 현장 적용하고자 한다. In this paper, we have designed a calf disease prediction system using Big Data based on Internet of Things. We studied diarrhea with the highest mortality in calf disease. It is designed to enable livestock farmers, veterinarians, and livestock-related organizations to use instantly in the field. Based on the Internet of Things, we designed a new data platform for early detection of diarrhea, database designing of diarrheal pathogen data for healthy individuals and diarrhea, We intend to establish and apply the standardized comprehensive management manual of Hanwoo calf diarrhea, which is a disease of farmers" major productivity decrease.

Analytical method to analyze the tolerance effect on the vehicle ride comfort is suggested in this paper. Ride comfort is one of the most important performance indices which decide the vehicle design quality. In general, the ride comfort is affected by the variations of parameters of a vehicle model. Therefore, the effects of the parameters on the ride comfort need to be evaluated statistically based on the whole-body vibration of the vehicle. In this paper, weighted RMS values of the acceleration PSD of a seat position are used to define the ride comfort. The equations of motion and the sensitivity equations are derived based on a 5-DOF vehicle model. By employing the sensitivity information of the acceleration at the seat position, the tolerance effect on the vehicle ride comfort could be effectively analyzed.
