자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금족 금속의 분리를 위하여 용매추출에 대한 기초연구가 수행되었다. 추출제로 tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) 그리고 di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS)를 등유에 희석하여 사용하였다. 추출제의 종류 및 농도가 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐의 추출거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 세륨, 납, 철, 마그네슘 그리고 알루미늄 등 침출액에 존재하는 주요 금속불순물의 추출거동도 함께 조사하였다. TBP는 백금과 팔라듐, 그리고 TOA는 백금, 팔라듐, 로듐을 동시에 추출하였다. DHS 추출제인 SFI-6에 의한 용매추출 시 백금이 팔라듐과 함께 유기상으로 추출되었으나, SFI-6R은 팔라듐만 선택적으로 추출하였다. SFI-6R은 SFI-6에 비하여 팔라듐에 대한 선택성이 우수하였으나 추출속도가 느렸다. 추출제의 종류에 따라 백금족 금속과 함께 추출되는 금속불순물들이 달라지며 세정 또는 탈거공정에서 이들을 제거하여야 한다. 자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐을 분리하기 위하여 먼저 DHS 추출제인 SFI-6R를 사용하여 팔라듐을 분리한 다음 TBP 또는 TOA으로 백금을 추출하여 로듐과 분리하는 공정이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. The solvent extraction for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts has been studied. Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) and di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS) were used as extractants and kerosene as a diluent. The extraction behavior of platinum, palladium and rhodium has been investigated as functions of different kinds of extractants and their concentrations. In addition, the extraction behavior of the major metal impurities such as cerium, lead, iron, magnesium and aluminum has been investigated. Platinum and palladium were extracted with TBP. And platinum, palladium and rhodium were extracted with TOA. Platinum was co-extracted with palladium into the organic phase by solvent extraction using SFI-6 of DHS extractant, but only palladium was selectively extracted with SFI-6R. The selective extraction of palladium with SFI-6R was found better than that with SFI-6, but the kinetics of extraction with SFI-6R was found poor in comparison to SFI-6. The metal impurities extracted simultaneously during the extraction of platinum group metals should be removed in scrubbing and stripping processes. A suitable process has been proposed for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts. Initially palladium was extracted with SFI-6R, followed by the separation of platinum with TBP or TOA leaving rhodium in the raffinate.

Spiders are easily distinguished from all other creatures by behavior of making webs. Among the web building spiders which depend largely on their webs to predation, Atypidae, four species in Korea, uses the purse web which is the most primitive one than other spider`s web in Korea. To analyze the chemical properties of the purse web, 30 ㎎ of Atypus coreanus` web was collected in Joan-myun, Namyangjoo-city, Kyunggi-do. As a result, the purse web of Atypus coreanus mostly consists of Glycine (5.3%), Glutamic acid (8. 26%) and Alanine (14. 17%). Especially the web of Atypus coreanus has more proportion of serine (9.28%), which plays an important role in intricacy, than that of orb webs used by Nephila clavata(4.84%) and Araneus ventricosus(4.84%).

The patriarchal society is based upon the gender/ sex difference. In the patriarchal social system the female is contained by the male. Hence the female is supposed to be either silence itself or a macho woman placing herself in a man's position. Whereas the male is always in the fear of castration and gets more aggressive to assert his manhood. Since gender was a significant way of representing social relations in early modem England, it was natural that contemporary playwrights dramatized unstable gender relations and explored assumptions about women in their plays. The 'witch' stands for an independent adult woman who does not conform to the male idea of proper female behavior. Lady Macbeth is very assertive and has the power of words. In Shakespeare's tragedies of the patriarchal families the women pendulate between the two extremities of a home angel and a weird, ruling out the middle. The Weird Sisters in Macbeth is the long shadow of Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth is defeated by the fantasy of manhood in spite of herself The manly womanhood of Lady Macbeth cannot get over the barrier of her patriarchal society.

Her miscegenation implies that she ignores the social conventions though it leads to her death. Desdemona frees herself from the confirming feminine identity of docile lover, dependent daughter, and servile wife and shows the developing processes of her true self-fashioning. However her final death, or the "sacrifice of love" implies the limit of her defiance against the Venetian patriarchal society.

In a recent trend where an industry is highly advanced and an environment preservation is emphasized, They also perform various researches on improving production process and developing new systems. In the pressing forging process among the semi-solid casting process, heated aluminum alloy turns into a semisolid state mixed with solid and fluid around at the fusion point. The solid is achieve in dendrite which remains in a fine solid state of globular shape stuck together. If it is placed in the mold, it maintains its shape independently like the solid. If it is pressed, it comes to have the state similar to the fluid and consequently is easily cast in the metal mold. It also aims to estimate the exact casting state of product through Super forge 2005, a program to interpret finite factors in order to perform forge die casting of plate in the middle of valve body in the car automatic transmission. Furthermore, it assesses the change of the distribution and transformation ratio.
