The objective of this study was to evaluate the shear capacity of opening reinforcement in reinforced concrete deep beams<br/> with rectangular openings. Main variables were shear span-to-overall depth ratio(a/h), and the configuration of opening<br/> reinforcement. The size of opening was 0.5a×0.3h and the location of centerlines of openings and shear spans were the same<br/> for all specimens. Opening reinforcement identically consisted of three 10 mm diameter deformed bar of 4,000kgf/cm2 yield<br/> strength. The vertical reinforcement was U-typed stirrups in top and bottom of opening. The horizontal and 45 degree diagonal<br/> reinforcements were arranged in both sides of the beams and anchored according to KCI code method. In the following, the<br/> performance of opening reinforcement was described according to the variety of configuration of reinforcement and a/h. Based<br/> on previous and this experiments, an equation estimating the shear capacity of opening reinforcement was suggested through<br/> considering the average tie-action and the equilibrium of energy of opening reinforcement along the fracture surface in deep<br/> beams with openings.

이 논문은 한 시대 한 국가에 내재되어있는 경제 사회 시스템이 잠재성장율에 상당한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 분석하는데 목적을 둔다. 그동안 한국은행이나 한국개발연구원(KDI)의 잠재성장율 분석은 생산함수방법을 이용하였고, 노동·자본 그리고 총요소생산성을 결정요인으로 제시하였다. 이 논문은 경제사회시스템을 네 번째 결정요인으로 추가하여, 그것이 노동·자본·총요소생산성에 영향을 미친다고 주장한다. 한국경제가 세계경제의 호황국면에서 상대적으로 저조한 성과를 낼 수 밖에 없었던 것은 우리 경제·사회가 세계화로부터 초래된 기회와 위협에 적절히 대응하지 못했기 때문이다. 세계화의 위협을 극복하고 기회를 극대화하기 위해서는 우리 경제사회시스템의 유연성을 제고해야 한다. 여러 연구들은 우리 시스템의 경직성을 잘 보여주고 있고, 그것을 유연하게 개혁할 경우 잠재성장율이 2% 이상 제고될 수 있음을 제시하고 있다. 앞으로 5년간의 경제성장율에 관해 관심이 쏠리고 있다. 현정부가 연평균 잠재성장율 7%의 공약을 내세웠기 때문이다. 본 연구는 잠재성장율 이론을 바탕으로 그 가능성을 점검하는데 목적을 둔다. This paper attempts to incorporate the socio-economic system as the major determinants of the potential GDP. The potential GDP of Korea was estimated by KDI, BOK by production function method using labor, capital and total factor productivity. I suggest the socio-economic system has influence on the labor, capital and total factor productivity. The rigid socio-economic system has made it difficult for the Korean economy to avail of the opportunities and surmount threats originated from globalization. I suggest reforming the system to become flexible sufficiently to meet the challenge from the globalization would raise the potentiality of Korean economy`s GDP growth.

This study presents the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete columns with a wire rope as a spiral reinforcement. Five columns were tested to failure under constant axial load and cyclic lateral loads to explore the significance and limitations of the application of wire ropes as lateral reinforcement. The main variables investigated were the configuration of wire ropes and axial load level. The test results are compared with those of tied columns, which have the same section size as specimen in the present study, carried out by Ozcebe and Saatcioglu. In addition, the theoretical monotonic lateral load-displacement curve for the columns is simply derived using the combination of section laminae method and the idealized curvature-displacement relationship. The model proposed by Razvi and Saatcioglu, based on test results of tied columns, is employed for the stress-stain relation of concrete confined by wire rope. Test results showed that columns with perimeter and inner spiral wire ropes developed much higher ductility than columns with only perimeter spiral wire rope at the same volume ratio of wire ropes. In particular, a higher ductility was observed in the columns with wire ropes than in the columns with conventional hoops, indicating that wire rope has highly effective performance and great potential as a lateral reinforcement to improve ductility of columns. The monotonic lateral load-displacement relationship of the column specimens predicted from the proposed numerical analysis is in good agreement with back-bone curve obtained from measured cyclic lateral load-displacement curve.

This study evaluated 23 botanic gardens and arboretums under two main categories including professional group and operational group. As for professional group, the main difference between the functions of botanic gardens and arboretums was analyzed. In the case of operational group compared professional group respectively, on categories including importance of function and implementation, seeking to provide fundamental data of botanic gardens and arboretums by enhancing the quality of visitors and examining functional differences. The result of a difference in arboretums` function between professional and operational groups, the study analyzed the importance of botanic gardens and arboretums in terms of detailed categories such as research, education, collection, display, retention, and service for visitors. As a result, professional group showed retention 4.32>education 4.11>research 4.09>service for visitors 4.05, and operational group showed retention 3.70>service 3.52>education 3.41>research 3.37, indicating that both groups had retention as the most selected answer. Looking closely at the functions of the currently implemented detailed categories of botanic gardens and arboretums, such as research, education, collection, display, retention, and service for visitors, the study showed that 91.3% selected rare species and individual multiplication for research function, 78.3% chose education of natural ecosystem for children for education, 73.9% answered space for experiencing nature for display, and 73.9% also replied managon, diof rare species, reproduction, and retention of native plants` species for retention category, and service for visitors showed 95.7% for implementation. The study could not clearly point out the influence between predictors due to absence of an established comprehensive evaluation model. Also, it analyzed and reviewed comparison of functions of professional group and operational group, but in the future, it should conduct study on a systemic and objective classification of botanic gardens and arboretums to clearly examine the difference in views between groups, which also requires, at the same time, study on management policy of botanic gardens and arboretums or suggesting guidelines that suit types of forms, and also study on facilities and program development that can be applied to each class.
