        Åbsoro-PepTM의 3D 라만 분광 피부 측정기를 이용한 피부 흡수도 개선에 대한 예비적 인체적용시험

        Purpose: The skin acts as a barrier to prevent external harmful substances from entering the body. This function interferes with active ingredient absorption. Understanding the degree of absorption of the substance into the skin is important to predict the effectiveness of cosmetic active ingredients. This study aimed to investigate the human efficacy of Åbsoro-Pep™ substance, which contains gold cysteinyl hydroxy-prolyl dipeptide-48 as a key ingredient, for improving absorption. Methods: This study conducted a human application test to evaluate the improvement in skin absorption (including absorption rate, speed, and depth) of Åbsoro-Pep™ using three-dimensional Raman spectroscopy, targeting adult women aged 20–68 years. Results: The results revealed that skin absorption rate, speed, and depth were all significantly enhanced (p<0.001) 30 min after application of the test substance compared to before application. Additionally, a high-concentration test confirmed that substance A application site was more helpful than substance B application site by improving skin absorption rate, speed, and depth by 1.80, 2.13, and 2.13 times, respectively. Conclusion: Åbsoro-Pep™, which combines gold nanoparticles with peptides, is expected to be predominantly used and applied in functional cosmetics to improve skin absorption. 목적: 피부는 외부 유해물질의 내부 침입을 보호하는 장벽기능을 한다. 이런 장벽기능은 유효성분의 흡수에 대해 방해 작용을 한다. 화장품 유효성분의 효과를 기대하기 위해서는 물질의 피부 흡수 정도를 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 gold cysteinyl hydroxyprolyl dipeptide-48 hydroxyprolyl dipeptide-48을 핵심성분으로 하는 Åbsoro-PepTM 물질의 흡수도 개선에 대한 인체효능평가를 진행하고자 한다. 방법: 본 연구는 20-68세의 성인여성을 대상으로 3D Raman Spectroscopy를 이용하여 Åbsoro-PepTM의 피부 흡수도(피부 흡수율, 피부 흡수 속도, 피부 흡수 깊이) 개선에 대한 인체적용시험을 실시하였다. 결과: 피부 흡수도 개선도를 분석한 결과, 피부 흡수량, 피부 흡수 속도, 피부 흡수 깊이 모두 시험물질 사용전과 비교하여 시험물질 사용 30분 후 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로(p<0.001) 개선됨을 나타냈다. 또한 높은 농도인 시험물질 A 도포부위가 B 도포부위의 1.80배 피부 흡수율 개선, 2.13배 피부흡수속도 개선, 2.13 배 피부 흡수 깊이 개선으로 더욱 도움을 주는 것으로 확인하였다. 결론: 금나노입자가 펩타이드와 결합한 Åbsoro-PepTM은 피부 흡수도를 개선하여 그 효능을 극대화함으로써 기능성 화장품에서의 폭넓은 활용과 응용을 기대하고자 한다.

        글리세린, 히알루론산, 실리콘 오일이 피부의 보습 및 경피수분손실량에 미치는 효과

        In the cosmetic industry, various moisturizing ingredients have been developed to improve skin dryness getting worse by extrinsic and intrinsic factors. However, there are no well defined studies about the actual hydrating ability and holding time of the moisturizing factors. In this study, we compared and investigated the efficacy of glycerin,hyaluronic acid and silicone oil (dimethicone), which are generally and most widely used as moisturizing ingredients in the cosmetic industry to improve skin hydration and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Comparing skin moisturizing abilities before application and 30 minutes and 6 hours after application of six creams with or without glycerin,hyaluronic acid and/or silicone oil, the cream including both glycerin and silicone oil showed the highest moisturizing value and the longest holding time of hydration. The second on the result was the cream containing both hyaluronic acid and silicone oil, followed by the glycerin cream, hyaluronic acid cream and silicone oil cream. Comparing TEWL before application and 30 minutes and 6 hours after application of six creams with or without glycerin, hyaluronic acid and/or silicone oil, the cream including both glycerin and silicone oil showed the most decreased value of TEWL and the longest holding time. The second on the result was the cream with both hyaluronic acid and silicone oil, followed by the silicone oil cream, the glycerin cream and the hyaluronic acid cream. Although glycerin, hyaluronic acid and silicone oil affect increasing skin hydration and decreasing TEWL, our data showed that the product containing not only silicone but also moisture factors such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid is more effective rather than applying the product with silicone oil only. As a result, the product containing glycerin with hyaluronic acid and/or silicone oil showed the superior abilities to increase skin hydration and decrease TEWL. Therefore, we suggest that our results aid in the development of various moisturizers as the basic standards and more study should be conducted to investigate the efficacy of various moisturizers on human skin hydration and TEWL.

        '네오젠 브이 바이옴 리포좀™ (NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™)'의 인간진피섬유아 세포 내 COL1A1 및 HAS 2 유전자 발현 증가 효능

        Purpose: This study investigated functional cosmetic agent for anti-wrinkle effects of 'NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™', which is a liposome in the form of a proprietary technology including a vitamin C active ingredient, on human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs). Methods: The cytotoxicity of 'NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™' was measured by performing a water-soluble tetrazolium salt (WST-1) assay. The relative mRNA expression of collagen (COL1A1 ) and hyaluronan synthase (HAS2 ) was measured by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) assay. Results: HDF cell viability of 'NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™' was no cytotoxic effect at concentrations below 0.25%. The expression of COL1A1 and HAS2 mRNA was increased in a concentration-dependent manner compared with the negative control group. Conclusion: “NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™“ helps to increase collagen and hyaluronan synthase production by promoting COL1A1 and HAS2 mRNA expression in HDFs; therefore, it is expected to function as an anti-wrinkle cosmetic material. 목적: 본 연구에서는 비타민 C 유효성분을 포함하여 독자적인 기술로 제조한 리포좀 형태인 '네오젠 브이 바이옴 리포좀TM(NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOMETM)'을 인간진피섬유아세포(normal human dermal fibroblasts, NHDF)에 적용하여 콜라겐 발현 유전자 COL1A1 및 히알루론산 합성효소 유전자 HAS 2에 대한 세포효능을 평가하여 기능성화장품으로 활용가능성을 확인하고자 한다. 방법: 인간진피섬유아세포에서 '네오젠 브이 바이옴 리포좀™(NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOMETM)' 처리에 의한 세포생존율과, 정량적 qRT-PCR분석을 통해 콜라겐 발현 유전자 COL1A1 및 히알루론산 합성효소 유전자 HAS2 발현량을 분석하였다. 결과: 세포독성평가 결과, '네오젠 브이 바이옴 리포좀TM (NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOME™)'의 인간진피섬유아세포에 대한 세포독성은 0.25% 이하에서 관찰되지 않았다. 시험 물질을 0.25% 이하 농도(0.05, 0.1, 0.25%)로 처리 시 COL1A1 mRNA 및 HAS2 발현이 음성대조군 대비 농도의존적으로 증가되는 것을 확인하였다. 결론: '네오젠 브이 바이옴 리포좀TM (NEOGEN V.BIOME LIPOSOMETM)'은 인간진피섬유아세포 내 COL1A1 mRNA 및 HAS2 mRNA 발현 촉진으로 콜라겐 생성 및 히알루론산 합성효소 생성 증가에 도움을 주는 것으로 주름개선 기능성 화장품 소재로 적용 가능하다는 것을 시사한다

        국내 화장품 표시·광고 관리 가이드라인 및 실증에 관한 규정

        Currently the cosmetic industry is being magnified as a higher value-added business. Cosmetics’ labels and advertisements are means of enhancing the international competitive power on cosmetic market as well as essential standards for consumers to make purchase the products. For this reason, Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) establishes the guidelines related to cosmetics’ labels and advertisements for the consumers from the exaggerative advertisement on cosmetics. As the cosmetic act is revised, additional articles are added and ‘Verification of Cosmetics’ labels and Advertisements’ takes effects. According to the ‘Verification of Cosmetics’ labels and Advertisements’, cosmetic companies should inform the factual statements and safety of the products through such as dermatological trial tested by clinical trial institution so that cosmetic users could have reasonable purchase decision. In this study we inform detailed account of ‘The Verification of Cosmetics’ labels and Advertisements’ as revised Cosmetic Act and introduce ‘Guideline for Cosmetics’ labels and Advertisements’ so as to establish the order in the circulation.

        Image J 프로그램을 사용한 모공측정 및 노화도의 새로운 정량분석법개발과 화장품 인체적용시험에의 활용

        Sebum is emitted by skin pores, the openings of sebaceous glands. Skin pore size increases due to excessive sebum emission and decreased skin elasticity caused by aging. These larger skin pores result in cosmetic problems. Therefore, methods to regulate skin pore size were examined. Additionally, effective methods for measurement of skin pores are also needed. In the present study, we developed a novel quantitative method for evaluation of skin pore area and degree of aging using the Image J software. First, we evaluated the pixel size of skin pores following the application of pore-tightening cream to the skin using the Cosmetic Full-Face Photography System, which is used to measure skin pore size, as well as a novel system that combines both microscopy and Image J analysis. In both the Cosmetic Full-Face Photography System and the novel system, skin pore size decreased following application of pore-tightening cream; however, the novel skin pore detection system effectively determined the decreases in skin pore size. Additionally, the degree of aging of skin pores was determined using Feret’s diameter. Thus, we suggest that this novel skin pore-detection system can be utilized as a substitute for the existing skin pore-detection method.

        감나무 잎 추출물, 율피 추출물, 호장근 추출물을 함유한 화장료의 안전성 및 인체효능평가 연구

        Skin lipids play a role as barrier function to control moisture loss to prevent dry skin and protect from external harmfulsubstances or bacteria in order for providing sterilization. However, when there is excessive secretion of sebum due toabnormal action of hormones, it will cause black heads and expansion of the pores so that waste will be accumulated. Nose pack is an easy way to clean pores around nose with sebaceous glands, but due to characteristics of the fabric,the existing products can cause irritation and corneous. Thus, this study is to develop cosmetics for sebum removaland pore improvement that can improve limitations of the existing products. The ingredients for the formulationsinclude Diospyros kaki (D. kaki ), Castanea crenata (C. crenata ), and Polygonum cuspidatum (P. cuspidatum) and toverify the safety and human efficacy evaluation. Based on the guidelines stated on ministry of food and drug safety,bacteria microbial limit test for 5 kinds of microorganisms, and human patch test with 31 men and women who donot have any skin diseases and skin hypersensitivity were executed. Also, with 23 men and women who have oilyskin, human efficacy evaluation was performed. For control group, changes in the amount of sebum, moisture, deadskin condition, blackhead, skin roughness between before and after the test were compared. As a result of safetyassessment, for microbial limit test, there was no aerobic bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aerusinosa,Escherichia coli, yeast and fungi, and for human patch test, there was no skin reactions such as redness, blisters orallergic. For changes in the amount of sebum and black head from human efficacy evaluation, there were temporaryimprovement for the experimental group. For the amount of moisutre, dead skin, and skin roughness, the experimenta lgroup showed improvement. This is expected to be used not only in deep cleanser, but also in lotion, emulsion,soap and foam cleanser and have the same effects. And for additional research on the treatment of acne and topicalpharmaceutical formula, it can be utilized. And when being complemented with body application test for long-termusage, they can be used as natural ingredients when cosmetic manufacturers or sellers are developing new products,and also can be supplied as informative material to induce scientific and objective ads and displays properly.

        아시아 마사지 테크닉

        There have been many kinds of massage in the world, such as Swedish massage, traditional Thailandmassage, Chinese tui na, Japanese Shiatsu, etc. Affected by increased average life span of human anddesire for health, massage has been a popular beauty and health care for human body in modern society. As scientific research about effects of massage was needed, even its culture, theoretical backgrounds andmethods have been founded and studied. However, in comparison of western massage, there are not muchstudies of Asian massage in spite of its long history and usage. Moreover, researches about overall culture,theory and technique of Asian massage are very scarce, although each of Asian massage like ayurveda, tuina were studied. In the present study, six kinds of Asian massage such as ayurveda of India, tui na of China,Thai massage, shiatsu of Japan, gua sha of China and jeobsi massage of Korea were reviewed from variousperspectives like history, cultural background, theory and technique. And this overview study is expected tohelp the researches about Asian massage and its culture and suggests that more scientific studies of massageare necessary in the future.

        피부미용과 학생들의 직업 및 직장선택 시 직무환경의 선호도에 관한 연구

        In this study, we deducted standards of selection for vacation and work place and analyzed correlation between office environment and vacation and workplace choice in student of skin beauty of college. In addition, we demonstrate that first priority factor to choice vacation and workplace and difference depending on year in college. To analyze object research, we composed four class (vacation selection, work place selection, environment, feature of population) and carry out a survey targeting student of skin beauty of college. As a result, freshmen preferred potential of self-development, performance compensation, valid workplace and valid break area to select vacation and workplace. Sophomore preferred potential of self-development, performance compensation and valid break area, except valid workplace. Especially, both freshmen and sophomore preferred potential of self-development. Furthermore, organization efficiency was first selecting factor for vacation selection in whole year of college. Therefore, we suggest that office environment was researched for satisfaction of employer in skin beauty. In addition, standards for selection vocation and work place were established by sufficient study and advice and education.

        Silica gel을 이용한 피부세포 수화능력 비교분석 연구

        Skin hydration is referred as the intra- and intercellular water content in the epidermis and the dermis. There are diverse in vivo assessment methods of the water content of the skin, however, in vitro assessment method of cellular water content has not been largely investigated and developed yet. Here, we developed a novel in vitro simple assessment method of cellular water content in keratinocytes using coloring silica gel. For this, we raised question about three aspects; the first is that whether the level of color change of silica gel can be correlated with the level of water content, the second is that whether the changed level of color can be quantifiable, the third is that whether the cellular water of keratinocytes can be absorbed into silica gel. We simply confirmed that its own ‘Red’ color of silica gel was changed to yellow in a H2O concentration dependent manner. Next the images of the results were adjusted to be only red and yellow color images, and then the only red color area of the images was extracted by controlling the L*a*b* values of them. Using Image J software, the intensity of the extracted red color area of each image was quantified. And we found that the level of color change is statistically correlated with a H2O concentration. Then, we investigated whether silica gel could absorb the cellular water of keratinocyte, and the color of silica gel would be changed in a keratinocyte’s water content dependent manner. The intensity level of red color area of silica gel was significantly decreased as the number of keratinocyte increased. Also the level of its red color was different between undifferentiated keratinocyte and differentiated keratinocytes. As a result, these data indicate that the cellular water of keratinocyte can be absorbed into silica gel, and the level of color change of it is statistically correlated with the level of water content of keratinocytes. Therefore, the silica gel-mediated assessment method of water content can be useful for many researches implications and for the evaluation of cosmetics.

        딸기 식물체 추출물의 미백 및 주름 개선 효과

        In this study, we investigated effects of the Strawberry plant body (SPB) extracts on the improvement of whitening and wrinkle. We confirmed effects of SPB extracts on UVB-exposed hairless mice to measure changes of skin conditions. The cream containing SPB extracts significantly decreases erythema index and melanin value on UVB-exposed hairless mice. Also, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) was significantly decreased in experimental group using cream containing SPB extracts on UVB-exposed hairless mice. UVB irradiation induces the expression of matrix metalloproteases (MMPs) in skin tissue. The up-regulation of MMPs enhances degradation of collagen and induces skin aging. The cream containing SPB extracts significantly decreases contents of MMP-2 and MMP9 on UVB-exposed hairless mice. These results suggest that SPB extracts might be used as a ingradient for improvement of whitening and wrinkle on UVB-exposed skin.
