This study aims to develop a methodology for metaverse space design and implementation, targeting a nonexpert group. Toachieve this, a three-dimensional (3D) design approach based on voxel art is introduced. The "Be The Space" project, a learner-centered metaverse initiative, is designed to enhance the participants' motivation for metaverse creation. Even if theparticipants are not familiar with complex computer graphics design and modeling techniques, they can successfully implementdistinctive metaverse spaces using the "Magicavoxel" voxel-modeling tool. Their creations are uploaded to a metaverse integrationplatform called "Spatial," which allows the participants to collaborate in real-time and share works. In the research, a tripartitestructure of co-space, sub-space, and indie-zone is employed to parallel collaborative and individual creative activities. Participantsset up their sub-space within a communal area, where they craft a metaverse space reflecting their ideas and visions. Eachindividual space is linked to the communal area through a portal, forming an integrated metaverse structure. This study verifiesthat collaborative creative activities can be effectively conducted among nonexpert groups in a voxel-art–based metaverse platform. This research proposes a novel methodology for various nonexperts in the field to collaborate in metaverse space creation.

Intestinal hemorrhage, fistula formation, and intestinal obstruction are the common complications associated with intestinal tuberculosis. However, duodenal fistula due to intestinal tuberculosis is very rare. We experienced a case of 26-year-old woman with a fistula in the duodenum referred to our hospital due to abdominal pain. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed a fistula at the duodenum with lymph node. After 2 months of anti-tuberculous medication, abdominal pain was improved and fistula size decreased. We report a case of fistula caused by duodenal tuberculosis. 폐외결핵 중에 장결핵은 드물지 않게 발생하며, 합병증으로 장폐색, 장천공, 복강 내 농양, 장출혈 등을 일으킬 수 있으나 장결핵에 의한 누공 발생은 드물다고 알려져 있다. 특히 장 결핵에 의한 십이지장 누공에 관한 보고는 매우 드물다. 우하복부 동통과 건성기침을 주소로 내원한 26세 여자 환자에서 상부 위장관 내시경, 대장 내시경 검사 및 조직 검사를 시행하여 십이지장과 림프절 사이에 누공이 동반된 장결핵으로 진단하였으며, 항결핵 치료 2개월 후에 십이지장 누공은 자연 폐쇄되고, 증상이 호전되었다. 이에 저자는 장결핵에서 드물게 동반되는 십이지장 누공 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다.
CAAD Design Methodology for New Media Design Environment

This paper describes the Computer-Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) design methodology for the new media environment. The proposed methodology consists of a set of procedures and digital design tools raising up the two research questions: how to construct design environment and how to utilize the design environment. This paper considers the aspects of new media technologies that are pertinent to architectural design. The paper explains four kinds of digital tools to support the proposed design modeling process and describes the examples developed by the author. The paper through the proposed tools presents a process to construct design environment with dimensional design information and generate and modify design alternatives.
A Study on Taekwondo Training System using Hybrid Sensing Technique

We present a Taekwondo training system using a hybrid sensing technique of a body sensor and a visual sensor. Using a body sensor (accelerometer), rotational and inertial motion data are captured which are important for Taekwondo motion detection and evaluation. A visual sensor (camera) captures and records the sequential images of the performance. Motion chunk is proposed to structuralize Taekwondo motions and design HMM (Hidden Markov Model) for motion recognition. Trainees can evaluates their trial motions numerically by computing the distance to the standard motion performed by a trainer. For motion training video, the real-time video images captured by a camera is overlayed with a visualized body sensor data so that users can see how the rotational and inertial motion data flow.
m-shaper: A Sketch Drawing System for Musical Shape Generation

This paper proposes a sketch drawing system called m-shaper for musical shape generation. Through simple sketch drawing, users can generate musical shape configuration which can be played by a computer. One key ingredient of the process is a unique concept for the interactive musical shape generation that combines shape and sound based on the designers' manual inputs. m-shaper captures the numerical values of drawing characteristics and determines how the musical notes and shapes can be generated. Using a tablet, four sketch movements are captured such as pressure, tilt, rotation and speed. Each point of a shape corresponds to a certain musical note that represents a type of instrument, duration, pitch, and octave. The current m-shaper has been developed as a computational tool for supporting the schematic design process. Designers in m-shaper draw geometric sketches with a musical inspiration and explore possible conceptual forms. They also can control the parameters for results and transform their sketch drawing. 본 논문은 음악적 형태 생성을 위한 스케치 드로잉 시스템, 엠쉐이퍼 (이하 m-shaper)를 제안한다. 간단한 스케치 드로잉을 통해 사용자들은 컴퓨터로 바로 연주가 가능한 음악적 형태를 구성할 수 있다. m-shaper는 드로잉 특징을 규정하는 변수를 획득하고 이를 이용하여 음표와 형태를 제작한다. 타블렛을 이용하여 4가지 스케치 움직임 정보, 압력, 회전각도, 기울기 각도, 속도 정보를 감지한다. 형태를 구성하는 각각의 점은 악기 종류, 음길이, 음높낮이, 옥타브를 표현하는 특정음표에 매핑된다. 현재 m-shaper 시스템은 디자인 초기단계를 지원하는 컴퓨터 연산도구로 개발되었다. 디자이너는 음악적 영감을 받으며 기하학적인 스케치를 그리고 개념 형태를 탐색할 수 있다. 디자이너들은 관련 제어값을 조절하면서 결과물을 조절하고 스케치 드로잉을 변형할 수 있다.
