Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease characterized by a chronic inflammatory process, primarily involving the synovial membrane of peripheral j oints, where T cell activation is found. To address the superantigen stimulation in rheumatoid arthritis, T cell clonality and the expression of activation markers were analyzed. Methods: To detect TCRB V usage, inverse PCR and sequencing were done. Monoclonal antibodies were used for flow cytometric analysis of TCRBV8 or TCRBV5. As results, a restricted usage of TCRBV3 gene was detected in synovial lymphocytes from one rheumatoid arthritis patient. However, preferential usage for TCRB V8, which may be one indicator for stimulation by staphylococcal superantigen, was not obvious although general activation of T cells was found as high DR+ percentage in synovial T cells. These data show specific antigen rather than superantigen might involve the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.

This study discusses the field of argument evaluation and criterion in debate discourse. This evaluation is the result of theoretical investigation of the contents of education in debate discourse. In order to take account of debate discourse, the realm of the subject of appraisal has to be classified. The criterion in debate discourse should not be in the form, but in the act. Acts are classified either as an argument or persuasion by the purpose and objective. The target area of argument evaluation lies in the argument in illocutionary acts which are separate from the persuasion in perlocutionary acts. This was how the standard for assessment of illocutionary acts was set-up. The criterion is related to the composition of the argument and is divided and discussed through questions such as ``Was the argumentation established?``, ``Was the claim justified?`` and ``Was the ground appropriate?``

The purpose of this study is analyzed the intertextual correlationship of the direct quotation in journal articles. And then I look at the aspect of intertextuality between th pre-text and the quotation-text. Intertextuality is about ``formation of relationships`` between texts. Writing the journal articles is based on the discussions of preceeding research. And quotation is use of the quotation-proper in preceeding research. Intertextuality of quotation reveals intertextual identity and deviations by repetition and transformations. This study is analyzed intertextual correlationship by contrasting between the quotation-text and the pre-text.
