        Korea’s Demographic Transition and Long-Term Growth Projection Based on an Overlapping Generations Model

        This paper employs an Overlapping Generations Model to quantify the impacts of Korea’s demographic transition toward an older population on the total output growth rate. The model incorporates the projected population through 2060 according by Statistics Korea. The effects of the low fertility and increased life expectancy rates are studied. The model is considered suitable for analyzing the effects of demographic changes on the Korean economy. Under the assumption that the TFP growth rate will not slow considerably in the future, remaining at 1.3% per annum, the gross output growth rate of the Korean economy is projected to slow to 1.1% per annum in the 2050s, from 4.0% in the 2000s. The shrinking workforce due to the decline in fertility plays a significant role in the deceleration of the Korean economy. The increased life expectancy rate is expected to mitigate the negative effect, but the magnitude of its effect is found to be limited.

        자동차 전장용 실시간 태스크 스케줄링 알고리즘

        Due to the increasing amount of electronic control system in a vehicle, the automotive software is increasingly sophisticated and complicated. Therefore it may be faced a time critical problem caused by its complexity. In order to solve such problems, the automotive electronic system can use a real-time scheduling mechanism based on predictability. We first consider the standard specification of the AUTOSAR OS and uC/OS-II such as its scheduling theory with time determinism. In this paper, we propose the scheduling algorithm to be conformable to a conformance class of OSEK/VDX specification. Algorithm analysis shows that our scheduling algorithm outperforms an existing Trampoline OS by intuition.

        Equity across Generations and Uncertainty within a Generation: A Welfare Analysis of the National Pension System

        This paper utilizes a life-cycle overlapping-generations model to quantify the welfare effects of plans to postpone the depletion of the National Pension Fund. In order for the model to incorporate the rapidly changing demographic structure of Korea fully, we build and calibrate a model in transition directly. The model is considered suitable for analyzing the effects of demographic changes on the Korean economy and the effects of plans to change the National Pension System. According to a simulation of the model, to postpone the depletion of the National Pension Fund for 30 years, the premium rate must be increased to 18.3% from the current rate of 9%. By postponing the depletion of the fund reserve, young and future generations gain significantly at the expense of the older generations. The simulation results should be, however, interpreted as meaning that the current system is unjustifiably partial to the older generations. Moreover, given the current premium rate, it is desirable to strengthen the incomeredistribution function of the National Pension System.

        일정한 공간에서 보안과 역내 관리를 위하여 이동체에 대한 추적 및 감시 제어 기술이 요구되고 있다 . 이러한 기술은 특정 이동 객체의 실시간 위치 추적은 물론 이동체의 무단 출입 통제, 영상 정보 획득을 통하여 안전한 공간 관리를 목적으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 구역 내 등록된 이동체 및 미확인 이동체에 대한 위치 추적과 감시제어가 실시간으로 이루어질 수 있는 웹서비스 기반의 이동체 감시제어 시스템의 설계 기술을 제안한다. 본 연구의 기여는 격리된 공간 내부에서 이동체의 질서 관리 및 감시 제어 원격 모니터링을 위한 기반 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 제공하며, 아울러 관련 응용 서비스에 효과적으로 활용될 것이다. For a security and management in restricted space, the position tracking and the monitoring control technology are being required. The object of these technology is safe space management through access control of moving objects and image information acquisition as well as realtime position tracking of moving objects. In this paper, the design technology based on web service with the position tracking and the monitoring control of registered and unconfirmed moving objects at real-time is offered. The contribution of the research provides software platform based on remote monitering and management in restricted space and will be used effectively in the related application services.

      • 생유리 피부편을 이용한 종부 및 족저부 연부조직 결손의 재건

        We have investigated the clinical results of 33 cases of free flap transfer performed for the soft tissue defects of heel and sole. In donor sites, tensor fascia lata flaps were 4, dorsalis pedis flaps were 10, forearm flaps were 9, and latissimus dorsi flaps were 10. The recipient sites were heel in 22 cases, sole in 7 cases, and heel and sole in 4 cases. In these cases, the postoperative complications, morbidity of donor sites, recovery of sensation, and cosmetic results were evaluated in each flap. All the flaps survived successfully. The free flaps provided excellent functional and cosmetic results. The tensor fascia lata flap was more reliable free flap for the reconstruction of heel and sole defects.

        척추의 화농성 골수염에서의 경피적 배농술 및 세척술

        Study Design : The authors analysed the recovery of clinical symptoms after percutaneous drainage and irrigation in pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis. Objectives : To determine the role of percutaneous drainage and irrigation in pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis. Summary of Literature Review : Pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis is a relatively rare condition but its incidence is recently increasing due to common use of intravenous access devices and resultant nosocomial bacteremia. Management of the disease is not uniform and is controversial regarding the role of surgery and duration of use of antibiotics. At present, the role of percutaneous drainage of involved spines in treatment of pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis is not well-known. Materials and Methods : We report 3 cases of pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis which were treated by continuous drainage with automated percutaneous lumbar discectomy device(APLD device) and draining tube after they have failed to conservative treatment. APLD device, fluoroscopic guide, contrast media and continuous percutaneous draining tubes were used for this procedure. The percutaneous draining tubes were maintained for 7 to 11 days and each case was followed up for 6 to 10 weeks under admission. Results : Symptoms were relieved 3 to 5 weeks after this procedure. The patients were followed u p to 12 to 39 months and experienced no recurrence. Conclusions : Percutaneous drainage and irrigation with APLD device brought prompt and marked clinical recovery. It is indicated as a supplementary method to conservative treatment or in case of high operative risk patient due to poor general conditions. It has minimal invasiveness, short clinical course and low recurrence rate.

        Oxytocin 주입분만이 신생아에 미치는 영향

        1985년 6월 1일부터 1985년 9월 20일까지 약 4개월동안 전북의대 부속병원과 예수병원 산부인과에서 정상두위질식분만한 80예중 oxytocin주입군 40예(유도분만 24예 및 촉진분만 16예)와 oxytocin을 주입하지 않은 대조군 40예를 대상으로하여 oxytocin이 신생아의 분만후 상태와 신생아 혈청 담적소치에 미치는 영향을 알아 보기위해 생후 즉시 제대동·정맥혈과 생후 36∼72시간의 신생아 혈액에서 혈색소치, 적혈구용적, pH, PCO2, PO2HCO3-, Na+, K+과 담적소치 등을 측정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다 1 Oxytocin 주입분만이 신생아의 Apgar score에 영향을 주지 않았고, 생후곤란증을 유발하지는 않었다 2 Oxytocin 주입군의 제대혈액에서 혈색소, 적혈구용적 및 Na+ 치가 감소하여 oxytocin 주입분만이 신생아에 항이뇨효과를 나타내는 것으로 사료되었다 3 Oxytocin 주입이 태아태반 저산소증이나 산성혈증 및 순환의 장애는 유발하지 않었다 4 신생아 혈청 담적소치는 oxytocin 주입시간에 따라서는 변화가 없었고, 주입량의 증가에 ㄸ라서 상승되었다 5 신생아 고담적소혈증은 oxytocin 주입군 40예중 2예(5%)에서 발생하였으나, oxytocin주입이 직접 원인이 되는 것으로 사료되지는 않았다 6 Oxytocin 주입으로 야기된 자궁수축이 대조군에 비해서 적혈구의 더 많은 손상을 유발하지는 않았다 Generally, by using of oxytocin for labor induction and augmentation, we could get to the decrease of perinatal morbidity As a matter of fact, many obstetrician have used oxytocin in labor and they have given a lot of reports regarding it However we have problems to be solved yet, for instance, neonatal outcome, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and its pathogenesis To investigate the effect of oxytocin on neonate, we studied 80 term healthy neonates of healthy mothers We devided them into two groups; oxytocin infusion group of 40 babies and control group of 40 babies For evaluation of neonatal outcome, the degree and pathogenesis of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, blood sampling has been made from umbilical cord vessels and neonate within 36-72 hours after delivery and analyses were made on the basis of the time-related and dose-related effects of oxytocin The results are as follows ; 1 Neither has the oxytocin infusion an influence on Apgar score of neonate nor neonatal depression 2 The significant decrease in neonatal hemoglobin, hematocrit and Na+ levels was observed in oxytocin group while no differences in cord blood Thus those findings suggest that oxytocin has the antidiuretic effect on neonate 3 Oxytocin dose not induce feto-placental hypoxia, acidosis and disturbance of placental perfusion 4 The degree of serum bilirubin levels of neonate has not related to infusion time of oxytocin but the dose of oxytocin 5 Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia was developed in two cases of 40 infants born after oxytocin infusion but oxytocin infusion was not considered as a direct factor for hyperbilirubinemia of neonate 6 In oxytocin infusion group, the mechanical destruction of red blood cell due to uterine contraction was no more than the control group
