According to the classification of World Health Organization, papillary squamous cell carcinoma is a variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This is a malignancy rarely found in the upper aerodigestive tract, especially in the sinonasal tract. We experienced a case, in which a 50-year-old man had papillary squamous cell carcinoma on his right nasal cavity, accompanied with inverted papilloma and fungiform papilloma. They were resected via endoscopic and Caldwell-Luc’s approach. After the operation, the patient was treated with radiotherapy for 7 weeks, and has been disease-free for two years. We present the clinical characteristics, pathology, treatment, and prognosis of the tumor with a review of the literature.
영역기반 지형 험준도 지수를 이용한 달착륙선의 일괄처리방식 지형상대항법 성능분석

지형상대항법은 측정된 지형고도와 DEM(Digital Elevation Map)의 지형고도의 비교를 통해 위치보정이 이루어지는 시스템이다. 하지만 지형상대항법은 언덕과 같은 반복되는 지형과 같이 측정된 지형고도 프로파일과 후보 지형고도 프로파일이 유사할 때 다른 지형으로 오보정을 유발 할 수 있는 단점을 가지고 있어 항법 성능이 떨어지는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 관심영역 안에 주변 지형의 유사한 정도를 판단하는 영역기반 지형 기울기 험준도 지수를 적용하였고[11], 영역기반 지형 곡률 험준도 지수를 제안하였다. 제안한 지형 험준도 지수의 성능 검증을 위하여 기존의 궤적기반 지형험준도 지수와 영역기반 지형 험준도 지수를 달착륙선의 지형상대항법에 적용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 기존의 궤적기반 지형 험준도 지수를 고려하였을 때 보다 영역 기반 지형 험준도 지수를 고려하였을 때 지형상대항법 성능이 개선됨을 확인하였다. Batch process TRN(Terrain Relative Navigation) using an altimeter is a technique to correct position by correlating a series of periodically measured terrain height profile and terrain height candidate profile of the DEM(Digital Elevation Map). However, it is generally known that the performance of TRN is degraded when measured terrain height profile and terrain height candidate profiles of the DEM are similar at hill or repetitive terrain. In this paper, area based terrain slope roughness index[11] is applied and area based terrain curvature roughness index which can detect similarity of terrain in ROI(Region Of Interest) is proposed to overcome this problem. Applying terrain roughness indexes to terrain relative navigation system of lunar lander, it is shown that TRN using area based terrain roughness results in improved performance compared to conventional trajectory based method through simulation.

Wegener’s granulomatosis is an uncommon idiopathic, multi-system disease characterized by granuloma formation and vasculitis affecting small to medium sized vessels. It usually presents with involvement of upper, lower respiratory tracts and the renal system, but also may include otological manifestations. A 54-year-old woman was suffering from right otorrhea and ear fullness and treated with antibiotics. Despite of the treatment, the otologic symptoms were aggravated and right facial palsy was developed. She also represented rhinologic symptoms such as nasal obstruction and rhinorrhea after 2 months. Diagnosis as Wegener’s granulomatosis was supported by biopsy from nasal cavity and serologic marker such as C-ANCA. She underwent medical therapy with prednisone and cyclophosphamide, and then both otologic and rhinologic symptoms were improved. We report this case with a review of the related literatures.

The angiomyoma or vascular leiomyoma is an uncommon type of leiomyoma composed of smooth muscle cells and vascular endothelium. The tumor occurs mostly in the lower extremities as a slowly growing, firm and mobile mass, occasionally accompanied by pain. There are few cases of auricular angiomyoma reported in the literature; however, recently, we experienced a case of a 18- year-old man with protruding auricular mass. We performed a surgical excision and the final pathological result confirmed to angiomyoma. We report this case with a review of the related literatures. Epidermal cyst is a benign cyst filled with keratin fibers, and its wall has nearly the same characteristics as the epi-dermis. It is commonly seen in the skin and has the tendency to slowly grow toward deeper epidermis parts and to cause cystic expansion. One of the most frequent causes of epidermal inclusion cysts is trauma involving the epi-dermis with subsequent implantation of epidermal cells into the dermis or subcutis. Epidermal cyst formation fol-lowing ear surgery was reported in a few cases around the world. Therefore, we present the case report of epider-mal cyst formation following ear surgery.

This paper presents modeling and control of the interlocking system connecting unmanned surface and underwater vehicles with an underwater cable. The research's primary objective is to determine the feasibility of the proposed system and designed controller, create a foundation for future studies with applications in maritime science. To complete it, the first step is to model the system's characteristics for the real system by using theories of hydrodynamics, Newton, and Lagrangian; subsequently, the algorithms of nonlinear controls, Lyapunov, and Barbalat criteria are applied for stable analyzing and designing the controller. Afterward, the simulations are carried out in the Matlab Simulink, which allows simulating the response of the system with control inputs similar to in the real-time environment and collecting the data directly to the workspace for processing and comparison using root-mean square error standard. The system is assumed to be used in marine environments. Therefore, the influences of the disturbance and uncertainties, such as tidal flows, surface waves, and winds, are the most dominant factors for control. Integral sliding mode control is proposed for the interlocking system to guarantee suitable stability and robustness of the system. Through the simulation results with the control of the motion system tracking to the given curve trajectory with impact disturbance, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed system and the control algorithm can be realized. Therefore, the practical application of this system for surveying and studying the marine environment shows promising potential.
