The Role of POSCO’s Communication Division: Serving as an Authentic Messenger to Promote Business Activities and Consistent Messaging

Objectives: The importance of communication in promoting a company’s management philosophy and business outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders is growing. The purpose of this case report is to introduce how a company managed to shed its 50-year-old organizational culture by embracing a new management philosophy that helped to enable the transition. Methods: This paper introduces global Korean steelmaker POSCO’s new management philosophy, “Corporate Citizenship,” which applies a systematic and strategic approach to communication, defined at both cultural and organizational levels, in media channel operations and content creation. Results: POSCO’s efforts demonstrated a successful communication alignment of management philosophy with organizational structure and departmental functions. Their corporate public relations organization comprises three departments: Public Relations (PR) Planning, PR, and Communication Content. In particular, integrated marketing communication efforts were adopted by rolling out a strategic portfolio of new media channels. As a result of POSCO’s multi-modal communication efforts, performance statistics such as page views, subscribers, and interactions increased significantly. Conclusions: Academic literature suggests that once an organizational culture has been established, it cannot be easily changed. However, by generating consensus and building understanding from a broad base of stakeholders, combined with strategic communication programs that contain authentic messaging, a significant impact can be created both inside and outside an organization.

<유씨전>의 현실성과 환상성

]The purpose of this study is to research reality, fantasy, the author's inclination and recognition of the actual in <Youssijeon>(유씨전). The life of a heroine is divided as the present age, a person in the land of the dead and rebirth. The figuration of life as the present age shows the fidelity consciousness by a virtue motif of heroic woman. and that of a person in the land of the dead is tested the fidelity consciousness by the king of hell. as well that of rebirth shows the happiness of marital life. The figuration of life as the present age which shows the fidelity consciousness by a virtue motif of heroic woman is described by realities of women's life in Chosun dynasty after 17 century. therefore Youssi(유씨) is belong to a model of the heroic woman who dies for her chastity. and the figuration of Youssi(유씨) has achieved actualism in high level. In addition, the figurationt of Youssi(유씨) in the land of the dead. as well that of rebirth shows the happiness of marital life are described by fantasy derived from surrealism of Buddhism(불교). These fantasy is applied by the writer for realization of heroine's desires which was failed in the present age. The fantasty in this part contributes to deal with the contradiction and the trouble of the actual radically.Lastly, I look upon the author's recognition of the actual as a obstinate disapproval of unconditional death by heroic women in the present age. and I understand that the author's inclination is to materialize this world's happiness, namely anearnest desire of mankind.

The incidence of head injury is low in our circumstances since we do not frequently experience child abuse. There is difference between child and adult in anatomical structure of the skull and brain. Thus, the nature and mechanism of the head injury in child are also different. It is necessary to review the characteristics of head injury in child for investigation of the cause of injury in legal autopsy. In this paper the author described the outlines of the birth trauma, child abuse, and battered child.

This treatise is attempted to discuss about the genre-decision of 〈Chosinchon〉 by analysis of the structure. 1 epitomize the subject matter which is discussed in .the upper parts as followings. In the real world(1), Cho-sin who is a hero in 〈Chosinchon〉, as a estranger of absolute loneliness, bears a burning failure and frustration notwithstanding his a strong will. In the dream(1), Cho-sin achieves success in the marriage with miss Kim. It means denial of the failure and frustration in the real world(1). also it has the meaning of social accute. In the dream(2), we can see how Self undergos the serious failure and frustration realistically by economic poverty as a starvation. In the dream(3), it shows a family dispersion and a separation between husband and wife. It is a suffering decision and a expression of firm will to overcome the economic poverty. Finally, in the real world(2), we can see that Cho-sin' attitude and recognition on the life or living is changed positively in the process of the dream(1) · (2) · (3) in spite of buddhism embellishment. According as these results, 〈Chosinchon〉 must be classified as kososul(고소설), korean old novel.

Most autopsy cases of fetus or infants in Korea are deaths of prematurity or death after birth arising medical dispute. It is natural to closely examine the all organs at autopsy. Thorough investigation of the lungs of infants is important to distinguishing the live birth and stillbirth. Forensic pathologists in Korea are not frequently experienced infant autopsy. So it is necessary to review the pediatric forensic pathology. And the author summarized the forensic pathology of the lungs in fetus and infants and its significance.

<유씨전>의 열녀 형상과 작자의식

The purpose of this study is to research the figuration of an examplary woman and a writer's consciousness in <Youssijeon>(유씨전). The life of a heroine is divided as the present age, a person in the land of the dead and rebirth. The figuration of life as the present age shows the fidelity consciousness by a virtue motif of heroic woman. and that of a person in the land of the dead is tested the fidelity consciousness by the king of hell. as well that of rebirth shows the reward of virtue and the happiness of marital life. Lastly I grasped a writer's consciousness in <Youssijeon>(유씨전) as denial of unconditional self-determinatin and affirmation of the marital life's happiness of examplary women. Consequently the writer of <Youssijeon>(유씨전) shows us that the real meanings of woman's fiedelity is the pursuit and the realization of the marital life's happiness. In other words, <Youssijeon>(유씨전) is a valuable work in the point of showing that the real meaning of a virtue motif exists in running after and actualization of world's happiness through marital life. <유씨전>은 여성의 열행에 서사의 초점이 맞춰져 있는 열녀소설로서, 작자는 작중인물 유씨의 열행을 죽음 이전의 삶과 죽음 이후 황천에서의 삶, 그리고 육신으로 환생한 삶을 통해서 형상화하였다. 죽음 이전의 삶에서는 유씨가 남편을 따라 殉節하기까지 열녀로서의 삶이 얼마나 험난하고 치열했는가를 보여주고 있으며, 죽음 이후 황천에서의 삶에서는 염왕이 原命을 다 살지 않았음을 이유로 유씨를 다시 인간 세상으로 돌아가게 하는 한편, 유씨의 열행을 가상히 여겨 남편을 살려보내고 부귀영화와 자식 및 俸祿을 점지하는 것으로 그려놓았다. 이에 따라 유씨 부부의 환생한 삶은 마침내 현세적 행복을 완벽하게, 가장 이상적인 모습으로 실현하는 것이 된다. 따라서 <유씨전>의 작자는 죽음이 아니면 열녀로서 정절을 지킬 수 없었던 17세기 이후 조선사회의 엄혹한 여성 현실에 대해 문제를 제기하는 한편, 열행의 진정한 의미를 현세적 행복의 추구와 실현에서 찾고자 하였으며, 이 점에서 <유씨전>의 문학사적 성취를 높이 평가할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

This treatise is attempted to discuss about the aspects of woman's perfection of self in the folktales. I epitomize the subject matter which is discussed in the upper parts as followings. 1. <On-dal> Story could be recognized to a certain extent historical existence and allegiance and by documents fixation has been continued a fixed shape to a definite direction. therefore it meets requirements of our proper cultural text. 2. <On-dal> Story is dealt with men's desire that a man in poor and humble situation is successed in the rising of the social standing. and it is based in 'a royal princess story' which described women's desire of the perfection of self that a highborn princess who is banished by a father king, manifests the self possibility maximumly overcoming the difficulty and trial. 3. A princess has several characteristic traits, that is, humanly sincerity, subjective volition and bravery, discernment power of the life and the practical endeavor. By these characteristic traits she can overcome the difficulty and trial. 4. The perfection of self in a princess is revealed as the completion of marriage, the rising of social standing, wealth and prosperity in a concrete way.
