        제주도 남부 화순연안 수산자원 유영생물의 종 조성과 다양도

        제주도 남부 화순연안 정치망에서 채집된 유영생물의 군집구조를 밝히기 위하여 1987년 3월∼10월까지 매월 1회씩 채집하였다. 조사시의 표층수온(13.3∼24.8℃)과 염분(32.20∼34.96‰)은 계절적 변화를 보였고, 특히 여름철에 변동폭이 컸다. 조사기간동안 21科 28屬 36重이 채집되었고 20㎝이하(96%)와 30g이하(74%)의 생물이 대부분이었다. 출현개체수와 채집생물량은 계절에 따라 다르나 1∼2 종의 생물에 의해 우점(50%이상)되고 있으며 주요생물로는 전갱이, 줄도화돔, 오징어, 고등어류 등이었다. 봄철에 생물량은 많지 않으나 종류수, 다양도 및 개체수 당 정보량지수가 높았고, 8월에는 출현종 수는 많지 않으나 다양도 및 개체수 당 정보량지수가 비교적 높게 나타났다. 2회이상 출현한 24種은 모두 유사값도 0.14에서 群을 이루었고, 비교적 높은 유사값 0.50을 기준으로 했을 때 4개의 群으로 구분되었다. Samples were obtained with a set net during 7 months between March and October in 1987 off the coast of Hwasun, southern part of Cheju Island. Most of organisms, representing 36 species, were less than 20㎝(96%) in length, and 30g(74%) in weight. The four most abundant species were jack mackerel, Trachurus japonicus ; squid, Todarodes pacificus ; mackerel, Scomber japonicus ; and Apogon semilineatus, which comprised about 89% of the total individuals and about 70% of the total weight. Diversity index, the number of species and information index for individual were high in early spring, even though biomass was not abundant. On the other hand, diversity index and information index for individual were relatively high in August in spite of low occurrence of the species number. A cluster analysis of 24 species which appeared more than twice during the 7 samplings were illustrated from the similarity matrix. All of the 24 species were grouped at the 0.14 similarity level. They were divided into four groups at 0.50 level.

        Monthly observations of plankton populations were made from February, 1983 to November, 1983 at nine sampling sites on the coastal zone of Samyang inCheju island. 116 species of phytoplanktom have been identified and the standing crops were ranged between 2,425 and 590,105 cells/ℓ. Autumnal blooming in September mainly of diatoms Chaetoceros sp. was outstanding and chlorophyll a contents measured at the same time were ranged 8.15-14.72 ㎎/㎥. Copepods wre the most important component of zooplankton community in the study area have been identified 43 species. Dominant species were Paracalanus parvus in spring and Acartia hamata in autumn.

        The stomach contents of a damsel fish, Chromis nofafus from Seogwipo in Jeju Island, were investigated from May to November, lw, Stomach analyses indicate that this species feed primarily on zooplankton ; copepods constitute more than 99.0% of the total prey number. Changes in the diet resulting in a n increase in the size of fish are shown as follows, showing that the smaller fish group(20-40 mmSL) feed primarily on copepod genera Oncaea and Paracalanus, and the medium sized fish group (50-79 mmSL) feed on Oncaea and Euchaeta, while the largest fish group(over 80 mmSL) feed on Euchaeta and Calanus. Prey items were compared to fish lengths, with most items being less than 4mm long. The small fish feed primarily on items smaller than 1 mm, and the medium sized fish feed on 1mm size class items, while larger the larger fish feed on 2 mm size class items, indicating larger prey being found in stomach of larger fish. The trophic level of the species in this area lies between the first or second consumer zooplankton and higher consumer nekton.

        The parasitic copepod. Caligus chanos parasitized on labridae fish around MunSum. Cheju Island, have been basically studied form Sep.. 1996 to Aug.. 1997. Parasitic pattern and water temperatures have a close relationship. which is high in June and low form Feb. to Apr.. Fishes of main hosts were Pseudolabrus japonicus and Pteragogus Ragellifer. Parasitic copepods prefer the body and tail of the host to the head, and prefer adult host to juveniles or older one.

        Planktonic crustacean samples and hydrographic data were obtained seasonally at intervals of two hours for one day at one station(near the Dragon Head Rock) around the coast line of northern part in Cheju Island from 1987 to 1988. Seasonal average individuals were low in February (307 indv./㎥) and October (282 indv./㎥), and highest in August (3.459 indv./㎥). Most of individuals were small animals retained on fine mesh(90μm mesh) net, composing over 91% of the total crustaceans. Range of seasonal average biomass was 3.0~20.5㎎/㎥. Generally, individuals and biomass of small planktonic crustaceans were higher during the daytime than those at night. whereas those on medium or large organisms were remarkably higher during the nighttime, Daily mean production, and ratio of daily production to biomass(P/B ratio) were highest in August and lowest in February, showing the larger the number of individuals and water temperature. the greater daily production and P/B ratio.

        제주도 연안 해초지대의 어류군집에 관한 연구 II. 실비늘치 (Aulichthys japonicus Brevoort)의 성장, 산란 및 식성

        The spawning season, growth and feeding habit of tubesnout, Aulichthys japonicus were examined from the samples collected by a small beam trawl in the Zostera marina belt at the coastal water off Hamduck, Cheju Island, from May 1993 to May 1994. Tubesnout was the dominant species of overall 58 species collected in the study area throughout the year. The larvae and juvenile of tubesnout in the frequency distributions of body length began to appear in the Z. marina belt in March, and adults disappeared after May in the following year. The gonad weight index (GWI) and the condition factor (K) were high from November 1993 to January 1994 for males, while females were high from February to May 1994. Although tubesnout is an oviparous fish, males have the urogenital papilla. These results suggest that they were fertilized between November and January, and then males seemed to be died or move into other places. Females were examined to spawn from February to May. The stomach contents of tubesnout were dominated by copepoda smaller than ca. 1mm, Paracalanus, Oithona, Acartia, Oncaea and Harpacticoidae, accounting for 97% of total food items. The feeding habit of tubesnout did not vary by size. The fishes fed on Calanus, Euchaeta and decapoda larvae larger than ca. 3mm in March and April during the spawning season. 제주도 북방 함덕연안 잘피밭에 서식하는 실비늘치(Aulichthys japonicus)의 성장과정, 산란시기 및 섭이습성을 조사하였다. 시료의 채집은 1993년 5월부터 1994년 5월까지 소형 beam trawl을 사용하였다. 체장빈도분포조사에서 실비늘치는 3월에 처음 자어가 출현하여 꾸준히 성장을 지속하고 다음해 5월에 이르러 거의 모든 성어가 사라지는 것으로 나타났다. 생식소 중량지수(GWl)와 비만도지수(K) 조사에서 수컷의 생식소 중량지수와 비만도지수는 11월과 1월 사이에 높고 암컷의 경우는 2월과 5월 사이에 높았다. 성비조사에서 산란시기인 2월부터 암컷의 출현이 높아지기 시작하여 3월부터는 거의 전부가 암컷으로 구성되어 있었다. 섭이습성조사에서 출현한 먹이생물중 97%이상이 요각류였으며, 이중 Paracalanus, Oithona, Acartia, Oncaea 및 Harpacticoidae 등 1mm전후의 소형요각류를 주로 섭이하고 있었으나, 주산란기에는 3mm 이상인 Calanus, Euchaeta 및 십각류 유생 등의 섭이율도 높았다. 주간과 야간의 섭이습성의 차이는 크지 않았으며, 주 야간 및 체장증가에 따른 섭이율의 변화는 주간에 평균 1.60, 야간에는 평균 1.90 이었고, 체장증가에 따른 섭이율은 성숙기인 90~120mm에서 높게 나타났다.
