This paper describes a newly-developed analysis methodology in comprehensive vibration assessment program (CVAP) of reactor internals to develop a valid-prototype for the design of nuclear power plants. The new analysis methodology developed in this study will be confirmed through a scale model testing (SMT). Based on the measurements obtained from dynamic pressure transducers in the SMT, a new non-dimensional equation is developed to apply the forcing functions at reactor internals for the prototype. In addition to the new non-dimensional equation, a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) is used to develop the application of the hydraulic loads at reactor internals for the prototype.
Measurement of vibration and stress for APR-1400 reactor internals

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Regulatory Guide 1.20 needs to perform a comprehensive vibrationassessment program for reactor internals during preoperational and startup testing for nuclearpower plants and extended power uprate. Although the measurement program is one of the core programs,it is rarely carried out except for a first-of-a-kind or a unique design. This article describesmeasurement results of vibration and stress for the comprehensive vibration assessment program for anAPR-1400 reactor internals. The measurement was performed at an upper guide structure during thepre-core hot functional test of Shin Kori unit 4 reactor internals because the Shin Kori unit 3 and 4 are thefirst construction project for the APR-1400, and the upper guide structure assembly was to design changecompared with the valid prototype. We confirmed that all measured results are within the test acceptancecriteria. It means that the structural integrity of the APR-1400 reactor internals was secured for theflow-induced vibration.

During the last two years, Site Information and Total Environmental database management System (SITES) ver. 1.0 has been developed for the systematic SITES Database Module (SDM), which includes site information, facility information and environmental information. The SITES includes the module for site environmental monitoring system and safety assessment (M&A) system for the nuclear facility. SITES is expected to be an effective system for the radioactive waste disposal management facility. Currently, SITES ver.2.0 is under development after the SITES ver.1.0 that is focused on the M&A system. The main purpose of this paper is to introduce and try to account for the major development in the concept of SEMS sub-module of the M&A module. The SEMS is purposed of development of the program for real time environmental monitoring, prediction, and automatic alarm system using SITES Database and related information.

This paper is related to comprehensive vibration assessment program for APR+ steam generator internals. According to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Regulatory Guide 1.20(Rev.3, March 2007), we conducted vibration analysis for a steam dryer as the second steam separator of steam generator internals. The vibration analysis was performed at the 100 % power operating condition as the normal operation condition. The random hydraulic loads were calculated by the computational fluid dynamics and the structural responses were predicted by power spectral density analysis for the probabilistic method. The maximum stress was confirmed at top channels from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. At this point, the maximum alternating stress intensity was calculated as 0.8 ksi. All structures of the steam dryer were assessed that had the fatigue margin of minimum 8.75 times comparison to the allowable limits of design fatigue curves. On the basis of these studies, the steam dryer of the APR+ steam generator shows to have sufficient integrity against flow-induced vibration.
Evaluation of Changes in Agricultural Stream Water Quality of Small Watershed in Jeonbuk Province

This study was conducted to investigate the trend of water quality fluctuations for 10 years (2007 - 2016) inthe river waters of rural watershed in Jeonbuk Province. The average of CODMn in the study area was 4.17 mg L -1 and its median 3.47 mg L -1 . EC averaged 0.22 dS m -1 , its median was 0.19 dS m -1 , and increased to October. The total nitrogen (T-N) content averaged 2.74 mg L -1 , its median 2.40 mg L -1 , and the total phosphorus (T-P) content averaged 0.09 mg L -1 and its median 0.07 mg L -1 . The highest T-N content was 2.76 mg L -1 in April and the average T-P content was maintained at 0.09 mg L -1 during the investigated period.
