        This study was carried out to illuminate again the reality of Korean child education and to find the future's direction of child education with regard to Pestalozzi's child education thoughts. In order to investigate a way of Korean child education in the future, in this paper several suggestions were proposed with for the development of Korean child education on the basis of Pestalozzi's educational spirit. Pestalozzi's child educational system is evaluated as the humanity which the nature and existence of human being is operated by the educational visual. The characteristics of his child educational system can be called the harmonious unification of nature and morality. He empathized that child is the son of nature, the son of God, and the son of society which is called the community of family. Pestalozzi's life, educational ideal, and the educational activities were to enlighten the humanity based on the law of nature. In Pestalozzi's basic educational ideology and whole person educational thought, there are a view of human, a view of the nature, a view of home, a view of religion, and the education through work. Pestalozzi's child education thoughts are basically focused on the home education, and parental education. Especially his "34 Letters on Early Education" are well expressed in his child education thoughts. Also it is necessary for us to understand his child education thoughts. Also Pestalozzi's child educational methods were adopted by means of the principle of intuition, the principle of self activity, the principle of pacification, and the principle of education through work. Therefore we have to estimate Pestalozzi's humanity that are consisting the child educational system newly again.

      • 유치원의 간식 운영에 관한 조사 연구 : 대구지역 유치원을 중심으로 In Taegu Region

        This study was surveyed in order to investigate the snack management of the kindergarten in Taegu region. One hundred and twenty four kindergartens were randomly selected and investigated by questionnair. Of the all, 84 responded questionnairs were analyzed. The main results are as follows ; 1. All of institutes provided children with snack 1 to 5 times a week. 2. The main three reasons providing snack are as follows : (1) Snack helps the nutrition supplement for children. (2) Children enjoy snack. (3) Children learns, the table manners. 3. There was not snack schedule in most institutes. 4. When the snack plan is established, most of teachers used the reference books about nutrition, the previous experience and the mass media in most institutes. 5. Many institutes spent less than 300 Won for snack per child in one time.

      • Pestalozzi와 Neill의 유아교육사상 비교 연구

        The results of comparative research from two scholars’ child education thoughts are as follow. First, the fundamentals of Pestalozzi’s child education thoughts is a home composed of lovely conversation between mother and children, and the educational principle is the harmonious unification of humanity development that will achieved by harmonious development between emotion·intelligence·body. Neill thought the principle of education is discovery of happiness and its preparation, so his educational principle is human mass-production having happiness, mercy and courage. Second, for a moral and creative human growing up that will be more required at 21st social, Pestalzzi proposed the contents of education includes the fundamentals of all education principles but the emotional education located at most significant and Neil thought the cause of today’s disaster is child’s educations focused on knowledge transmission-oriented, so he proposed child’s education is to be respected for individual, creative and autonomy. The implication of two scholar’s thought in nowadays are more important. The role of parent at home as well as school is important for child’s growing up to meet new social requirement so Pestalozzi thought the beginning of education is lovely conversation in family-union namely home, and a home full of lovely conversation between mother and children is sacred as a field of child education. Neill expressed that current life is more important than efforts prepare for future life, and it is more proper to aid child to develop emotional health, happiness and self-confidence than to oblige child to study, so we will more take care for child’s happiness than child’s success. Forth, the good teacher by Pestalozzi’s expression will encourage a child to be active, so make educational environment free, without fear. Neill proposed that good teacher is not a man mainly focused on the education of intelligence, not a man derivate something from a child, but only a man try to give something to a child. Therefore, the child educational thoughts from two scholars are very important.

      • Pestalozzi의 도덕교육에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out in order to define and introduce Pestalozzi's educational thought, moral education and influencing aspect to the modern education. The procedure used in this paper was to analyze, organize, and synthesize Pestalozzi's epistemology. A review of many available literatures were made of Pestalozzian epistemology and implication were described as they relate to the problem of this study in the context of early childhood moral education. Pestalozzi's education method sought to educate the totality of the human, and to develop the substantial personality of the child, desires, needs, ideas, and hopes. Petalozzi's philosophy and education method describe the life and career on which based on his ideas and explain moral, intellectual and physical education and how they relate to each other. Pestalozzi's philosophy and method moral education represents that identifies Pestalozzi's three natures of humanity, discusses moral education and presents morality as the work of man.
