Expressional structures of modern Korean were compared with those of medieval Korean in this paper. Most materials which are available nowadays are versions of translated literatures from Chinese, consequently it is not surprising to find the massive influence from the source language. Because the two tongues are quite different in their grammatical structures and in their origins, no loaning nor influence were given from chinese in grammatical aspect, despite the large amount of interference. But medieval Korean had greatly influenced in the aspect of expressional structure, because the latter tongue was free in word order to some extent. As a result, we can infer that there were considerable difference between written language and spoken tongue in those days. Each of the following items are considered to be influenced from Chinese to written language in medieval Korean; a) There were many instances that predicate preceds object. (Modern Korean has converse word order.) b) Pro-verb(hata) was used freguently as a result of many quotations. c) Causative and passive constructions are used in the same form as Chinese. d) Quantifiers and Negatives are apt to precede their Heads. (i.e.; Quantifier + Noun phrase; Negative + Verb phrase) e) Other influences were found, for example in the position of Interrogative, in expression of person and thing and in expression of (pragmatic) distence.

"Shijo" is a peculiar set-form verse of Korea. Despite the difference of the cultural surroundings, Korean "Shijo"(時調), Chinese "Jeolgwi"(絶句) and sonnet have the same meaning structures. This identity of meaning structures does not lie in the influence and imitation relation with each other, but based on the universality of human expressional structures. From this point of view, "Shijo" is a peculiar set-form verse which Korean has developed.

The purpose of this study was to introduce item response theory(IRT) and to explore the possible applications to the measurement of psychomotor behavior. The primary assumption of IRT is an individual will respond to an item on a test can be described in terms of a probabilistic function that describes the probability of an examinee responding correctly to an item. By contrast with the classical test theory, the advantage of IRT is to be able to estimate examinee's true ability and the estimate does not depend on the other examinees or on the particular test administered. When the item response of an examinee is dichotomous, if the probability of an examinee responding correctly to an item would be dependent of the ability of the examinee and the difficulty of the item, Rasch Model or 1-parameter IRT model could be used for estimating the item parameters. But if the discriminant or guess factor would be considered, then 2-parameter of 3-parameter model could be used. However, when the item response is polytomous, polytomous response model such as Partial Credit Model, Rating Scale Model, Nominal Response Model can be used. Especially, Binomial Trial Model, Poisson Counts Model, and Inverse Binomial Model can be used for analyzing multiple-attempt, single-item skill tests of psychomotor domain. Through reviewing the literatures of IRT, item bank, computer adaptive testing, mastery test measurement of change, repeating skill test, and sequential test has been proposed as the possible applications for psychomotor domain. In conclusion, for more valid and reliable assessment in the pychomotor domain, IRT and the possible applications of IRT should be seriously considered in measurement research in physical education.

Cataract and Retinal detachment eyes dogs were examined by ultrasonography. Ultrasonography of the immature and mature cataractous eyes showed echographic changes, and cataractous lens increased in thickness. The diagnosis of retinal detachment was made an echodense waving motion structure in the posterior segment was imaged. This investigation will provide basic information for the study of pathologic conditions affecting the eyes of dog using ultrasound unit commonly available to the veterinarian.
