        Exercise and sport physiology have evolved from anatomy and physiology. Anatomy is the study of an organism's structure, or morphology. From anatomy. We learn the basic structure of various body parts and their interrelationships. Physiology is the study of body function. In physiology, we study how our organ systems, tissues, and cells work and how their functions are integrated to regulate our internal environments. Because physiology focuses on the functions of structures, we can't easily discuss physiology without understanding anatomy. Exercise Physiology is the study of how our bodies' structures and functions are altered when we are exposed to acute and chronic bouts of exercise. Sport physiology further applies the concepts of exercise physiology to training the athlete and enhancing the athlete's sport performance. Thus sport physiology is derived from exercise physiology. Physiology is synonymous with exercise physiology or the physiology of exercise. As the term implies, this aspect of sports medicine involves the study of how the body, from a functional standpoint, responds, adjusts, and adapts to exercise. This includes acute exercise as well as chronic or prolonged exercise, as is the case with exercise training. In words, exercise physiology provides the physiological basis of physical education, fitness, and athletic programs.

      • 성인애착과 사회불안의 관계에서 취약성과 내현적 자기애의 매개효과

        본 연구에서는 성인애착, 수치심경향성, 자기불일치, 내현적 자기애, 사회불안의 관련성을 알아보았다. 그 리고 성인애착과 사회불안의 관계에서 내현적 자기애의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 대학생 남 여 총 435명을 대상으로 자기 보고식 설문조사를 통해 성인애착, 수치심경향성, 자기불일치, 내현적 자기애, 사회불안을 측정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내현적 자기애는 성인애착, 사회불안과의 상관이 통계적으로 유의하고, 특히 수치심경향성과 높은 상관을 보였다. 또한 수치심경향성과 자기불일치, 내현적 자기애는 애 착회피보다 애착불안과 더 관련이 있고, 사회불안은 애착불안보다 애착회피와 더 관련이 있었다. 둘째, 성 인애착과 내현적 자기애의 관계에서 애착불안과 회피는 모두 내현적 자기애를 직접경로로 유의하게 설명 하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 성인애착과 내현적 자기애의 관계에서 수치심경향성과 자기불일치의 부분 매개효과 가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 셋째, 성인애착과 사회불안의 관계에서 애착회피와 사회불안의 직접경로만 유 의미하게 나타났다. 결과적으로 애착불안은 사회불안과의 관계에서 내현적 자기애의 완전 매개효과가 통계 적으로 유의하였고, 애착회피는 사회불안과의 관계에서 내현적 자기애의 부분 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의 하였다. 이러한 결과는 상담 및 치료 장면에서 사회불안을 경험하는 내현적 자기애자들의 성인애착을 살펴 봄과 동시에 유년기애착의 문제를 가정하도록 하여 초기에 구체적인 목표를 세우도록 이끌어 치료의 시기 와 효율성을 증가시키는데 유용한 자료로 사용할 수 있을 것이다.

        차세대 염기서열 분석법을 이용한 15개 상염색체 STR의 염기서열 생성 및 유전자형 분석

        Recently, next generation sequencing (NGS) has received attention as the ultimategenotyping method to overcome the limitations of capillary electrophoresis (CE)-based short tandem repeat (STR) analysis, such as the limited number of STR locithat can be measured simultaneously using fluorescent-labeled primers and the maximumsize of STR amplicons. In this study, we analyzed 15 autosomal STR markersvia the NGS method and evaluated their effectiveness in STR analysis. Using maleand female standard DNA as single-sources and their 1:1 mixture, we sequentiallygenerated sample amplicons by the multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR)method, constructed DNA libraries by ligation of adapters with a multiplex identifier(MID), and sequenced DNA using the Roche GS Junior Platform. Sequencing datafor each sample were analyzed via alignment with pre-built reference sequences. Most STR alleles could be determined by applying a coverage threshold of 20% forthe two single-sources and 10% for the 1:1 mixture. The structure of the STR in eachallele was accurately determined by examining the sequences of the target STRregion. The mixture ratio of the mixed sample was estimated by analyzing the coverageratios between assigned alleles at each locus and the reference/variant ratiosfrom the observed sequence variations. In conclusion, the experimental method usedin this study allowed the successful generation of NGS data. In addition, the NGS dataanalysis protocol enables accurate STR allele call and repeat structure determinationat each locus. Therefore, this approach using the NGS system will be helpful to interpretand analysis the STR profiles from singe-source and even mixed samples inforensic investigation.

        Photo-reactive natural polymer derivatives for medical application

        Biomaterials should be biocompatible and biodegradable. Many researches had been studied to upgrade biomaterials to deliver various types of drugs. In this respect, natural polymers have been catching on as a biomaterial. To immobilize drugs using natural polymer, photo-immobilization method has been designed. This method has several advantages. For photo-immobilization, photo-reactive functional group should be introduced to natural polymer. According to purpose of application, you could choice one of the photo-reactive functional group. Finally, many types of chemically modified natural polymers, which are photo-reactive natural polymer derivatives, have been prepared and studied to apply in medical field.

        Preparation and Characterization of Monodisperse Polystyrene-Silica Nanocomposites

        Polystyrene-silica nanocomposites were successfully prepared by UV-induced graft polymerization of styrene onto a silica surface. Composites were prepared by batch and continuous-circulation reactions, and results indicated that polystyrene was successfully grafted onto inorganic silica particles for both reactions. Scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetry analyses of the composites indicated 45% volume increase and 37% polymer content after an optimal reaction time of 30 minutes, respectively, for the batch reaction. For the continuous-circulation reaction, the corresponding results were 63% volume increase and 42% polymer content after 140 min of reaction time. Fourier Transform-Raman spectroscopy analysis of composites showed the characteristic peaks of both silica and polystyrene thus confirming the successful graft-polymerization for both reactions. Disappearance of C-H and C=C ring stretching bands at 3070 and 1578 cm-1 in composites after their optimal reaction times for both reactions indicated a possible ring opening mechanism due to prolonged exposal to the UV light source. For the batch reaction, composites showed new vibration bands at 1052 and 812 cm-1 for asymmetric and symmetric Si-O-C stretching, respectively, indicating a covalent bond between the grafted polymer and silica surface. X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis showed an increase in the elemental concentration of carbon from 5 to 46% for 30 minute composites in batch reaction. XPS analysis also indicated that the relative OH group content of the surface of the silica particles determines the effectiveness of the graft-polymerization of styrene.
