        국내 문학번역과 문학번역비평 연구의 위상 - 2002~2022년 국내외 연구동향 메타 분석

        The Korean Wave, or Hallyu, has been continuously expanding its scope of influence to move beyond the bounds of the pop culture of Korea, e.g., K-POP, K-FOOD, and K-DRAMA, to include more sophisticated art forms, such as Korean movies and literature. As evidenced by the not-so-short list of Korean authors who have won global literary awards, Korean literature translated into diverse languages has been met with an enthusiastic reception worldwide. Unfortunately, however, research on literary translation has yet to be accumulated accordingly. The present study, a meta-analysis of the research publications during the past two decades until 2022 on Korea’s literary translation, reports on the characteristics of research trends, including key topics and methodologies. The changes in the research foci show that research on outbound translation, or translations from Korean to foreign languages, has outweighed that on inbound translation, or translations into Korean, since 2016, and that ‘the translator,’ the primary agent of translating, tends to receive greater attention accordingly. The comparison between 262 Korean and 362 overseas research articles during the period under review reveals that researchers, Korean and foreign alike, tend to converge on research topics. The core topics of Korean researchers, however, center around ‘linguistic/cultural mediation,’ whereas the most frequent choice among foreign researchers is ‘translation and society,’ which highlights the interdisciplinary nature of research in Translation Studies. The conclusion emphasizes the lack of a critical stance vis-a-vis literary translations in terms of evaluation criteria and a need to strengthen literary translation criticism for a broader reception of Korean literature abroad.

        문학번역의 수용과 평가 -신경숙의 『엄마를 부탁해』 영역본을 중심으로

        The allegedly enthusiastic acceptance of the translated Korean novel Please Look After Mom by the US and UK readership has been drawing a lot of attention from the literary circle and the translation studies academia in Korea. Reflecting this phenomenon, some even went to say that its English translation is one of the best literary translations in Korea, and that the publisher-initiated translational procedure employed in this particular translation case should be introduced as a model for future ‘outgoing’ literary translation in Korea. However, a close look at the translation immediately reveals it has many inaccurate and/or inadequate translation errors, ranging from simple lexcial choice errors to lack of proper stylistic treatment of the source text. This paper attempts to identify the translation problems embodied in this English rendition. focusing on why stylistic considerations should be emphasized in literary translation. In so doing, efforts are made to identify the translational decision-making process involving the target text publisher as well as the source text author and the translator, and show where the translator and the publisher should meet in making translation-related decisions. By way of conclusion, attentions are brought to the need to reassess and remodel the current ‘outgoing’ literary translation practice. Future research needs are also raised.

        토픽모델링 기반의 국내외 미래 자동차 연구동향 비교 분석: CASE 키워드 중심으로

        After industrialization in the past, the automobile industry has continued to grow centered on internal combustion engines, but is facing a major change with the recent 4th industrial revolution. Most companies are preparing for the transition to electric vehicles and autonomous driving. Therefore, in this study, topic modeling was performed based on LDA algorithm by collecting 4,002 domestic papers and 68,372 overseas papers that contain keywords related to CASE (Connectivity, Autonomous, Sharing, Electrification), which represent future automobile trends. As a result of the analysis, it was found that domestic research mainly focuses on macroscopic aspects such as traffic infrastructure, urban traffic efficiency, and traffic policy. Through this, the government's technical support for MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) is required in the domestic shared car sector, and the need for data opening by means of transportation was presented. It is judged that these analysis results can be used as basic data for the future automobile industry. 과거 산업화 이후 자동차 산업은 내연기관 중심의 지속적인 성장을 하였으나, 최근 4차 산업혁명으로 큰 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 대다수의 기업들이 전기 자동차, 자율주행으로의 전환을 준비하고 있으며, 현시점에서 국내와 국외의 미래 자동차 연구동향을 비교 분석할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미래 자동차 트렌드를 대표하는 CASE(Connectivity, Autonomous, Sharing, Electrification)와 관련된 키워드가 포함된 국내 4,002건, 국외 68,372건 논문을 수집하여 LDA 알고리즘 기반의 토픽모델링을 수행하였으며, 국내외 미래 자동차 연구동향을 비교 분석하여 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. 분석 결과 국내의 경우 교통 인프라, 도시 내 교통효율, 교통정책 등과 같은 거시적인 측면에서의 연구가 주를 이루는 것으로 나타났으며, 국외는 객체인식, 사물인터넷, 전기자동차 소음 등의 차량 기술과 관련된 연구가 활성화되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 국내 공유자동차 부문에 있어 MaaS(Mobility -as-a-Service)와 관련한 정부의 기술지원이 필요하고 교통수단별 데이터 개방 필요성 등에 대하여 제시하였고, 이러한 분석결과는 미래 자동차 산업을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        F<sub>1</sub> 종자 딸기 '씨베리' 육성

        '씨베리' 품종은 농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원 시설원예시험장에서 2013년도 육성한 국내 최초의 일계성 딸기 $F_1$ 품종이다. '씨베리' 품종을 육성하기 위해 2004년부터 국내 보유 유전자원 중 특성이 우수한 품종들을 선발하여 약 10여 년에 걸쳐 주요 형질별로 근교계통을 육성하였다. 이중 고경도의 특성을 가진 근교계통인 '원교3115호'를 교배모본으로 하고 수량성과 과형이 우수한 근교계통인 '원교3116호'를 화분친으로 하여 $F_1$ 일대잡종 '씨베리' 품종을 육성하였다. '씨베리' 품종을 종자로 재배하기 위해서는 관부 직경이 10mm 이상이 되도록 육묘하고 정식하여야 제 특성을 나타낼 수 있다. '씨베리'의 초형은 직립형이고 잎은 타원형이다. 초세는 영양번식 개체보다는 다소 약한 경향이고 화방당 꽃수는 12-15개, 화아분화는 대조품종과 비교하여 중간 정도의 특성을 나타낸다. '씨베리' 품종의 과실 특성을 보면 과형은 원추형, 과색은 연한 적색이고 평균과중은 15-16g 내외이다. 수량은 대조품종인 '아키히메' 품종의 92% 수준으로 다소 적은 경향이고 당도는 $9.7^{\circ}Bx$, 산도는 0.6%로 맛은 새콤달콤한 경향을 나타낸다. 병해충 저항성은 흰가루병에는 약하나 탄저병에는 강하고 진딧물과 응애는 다소 약한 것으로 나타났다. 'Seeberry' is a short-day $F_1$ hybrid strawberry for seed propagation, that was released by the Protected Horticulture Experiment Station (RDA, Republic of Korea) in 2013. Inbred lines derived from domestic germplasms and selected varieties were used to develop this cultivar. 'Seeberry' originated from a cross of two inbred lines: a male parent 'Wongyo 3115' with high firmness and a female parent 'Wongyo 3116' with excellent fruit shape and high yield. 'Seeberry' cultivar should be grown with a crown diameter of over 10 mm to reveal its unique characteristics. 'Seeberry' has an upright plant shape with elliptic leaves, 12-15 flowers per cluster, vigorless growth habit, and average flower bud differentiation compared to vegetatively propagated cultivars. Fruits of 'Seeberry' are conical, having light skin color and approximately 15-16 g in average weight. Yield of this cultivar is about 92% lower than that of 'Akihime', but 'Seeberry' has excellent taste, sugar content of $9.7^{\circ}Bx$, acidity of 0.6%, and good texture. With regard to disease and pest resistance, 'Seeberry' is sensitive to powdery mildew, aphids, and the two-spotted spider mite, and is resistant to anthracnose.

      • 딸기 '대왕', '싼타', '옥매', '설향' 및 '매향' 품종의 수경재배시 착과수 조절 효과

        이 시험은 국내에서 육성된 딸기 5품종에 대한 적정 착과수를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 화방 당 착과수를 4~5과, 7~9과 그리고 적과를 하지 않은 방임구를 비교한 결과, 적과를 함으로써 모든 품종의 평균 과중이 증가하였으며, 당도는 높아지고 산도는 낮아져 상품성이 향상되었다. 적과 정도가 강할수록 화경장은 짧아지는 경향이었으나 잎 수, 엽병장, 관부직경 등은 차이가 없었다. 적과를 실시한 후 각 화방의 1번 과중을 조사한 결과, 설향과 매향 품종은 2화방에서부터 뚜렷이 과중이 커졌으며, 대왕과 싼타 품종은 3화방의 1번 과중이 무거워졌다. 옥매 품종은 뚜렷한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 대왕과 매향은 화방 당 4~5과를 남기는 강한 적과를 하는 것이 방임구에 비해 각각 4.3% 및 6.6% 증수되었으며, 싼타, 옥매, 설향 품종은 7~9과를 남기는 가벼운 적과를 하는 것이 방임구에 비해 각각 3.1, 3.5, 9.1% 증수되었다. 결과적으로 각 품종의 개화습성에 맞게 착과 수를 조절함으로써 과실 품질을 향상시키고 수확량을 증대시킬 수 있었다. The objective of this study was to find out the optimum number of fruiting per a flower cluster on 5 domestic strawberry cultivars (Fragaria${\times}$ananassa Duch.), 'Daewang', 'Ssanta', 'Okmae', 'Seolhyang' and 'Maehyang'. Therefore, three ways of fruit thinning, 4~5 fruiting, 7~9 fruiting and all fruiting per a flower cluster were compared. After fruit thinning, the first fruit weights were increased from the second flower cluster on 'Seolhyang' and 'Maehyang', but from the third one on 'Daewang' and 'Ssanta'. There was no difference in first fruit weight by the flower thinning ways on 'Okmae'. The mean fruit weights of all the cultivars were increased and sugar contents also were increased, but acidities were decreased. The peduncle lengths were shortened by fruit thinning, but there was no difference in number of leaf, petiole length and crown diameter. Marketable yields by 4~5 fruiting per a flower cluster than all the fruit setting were higher 4.3% and 6.6% respectively on 'Daewang' and 'Maehyang'. In contrast, the yields were higher 3.1%, 3.5% and 9.1% in 7~9 fruiting per a flower cluster than all fruiting on 'Ssanta', 'Okmae' and 'Seolhyang' respectively. As the result, we could improve the fruit quality and could increase marketable yield by fruit thinning with matching flowering characteristics of those strawberry cultivars.

        Trichophyton rubrum에 대한 in vitro Terbinafine Hydrochloride, Paeonia 자연추출물, 자외선 C의 항진균 효과 비교연구

        Background: Trichophyton(T.) rubrum is most common fungal pathogen that causes tinea pedis andonychomycosis. It recurrently infects human and usually persists for very long time, provoking publichealth concern. Due to the limitation in current treatment options, alternative therapies are desirable. Weinvestigated the inhibitory effect of UVC, terbinafine hydrochloride 1% and paeonia natural extracts onT. rubrum in vitro. Objective and Method: Total 25 T. rubrum strains were cultured for 10 days on Mycosel agar plate;5 strains of T. rubrum and 5 copies for each strain. They were divided into 5 groups: control, UVCirradiation, terbinafine spray, paeonia natural extracts spray, UVC and paeonia natural extracts sprays. The cultured media were irradiated for 1 hour daily for 3 weeks in the germicidal lamp emitting 253.7nm (UVC), power of 2.875 mW/cm2 at 10 cm distance. Terbinafine and paeonia extracts was sprayedtwice on the surface to fully cover the colony area. The median diameter of each colony were measuredevery other day for 3 weeks. The change of colony diameter and the growth rate were analyzed. Results: The UVC had virtually no effect on restraining the growth of T. rubrum, similar with thegrowth of the control group. However, both the terbinafine spray and paeonia extracts slowed down thegrowth rate remarkably and showed a similar effect. Conclusion: We could only figure out the fungistatic effect, and not the fungicidal effect of paeoniaextract and terbinafine hydrochloride in vitro. UVC irradiation setting in this study was totally ineffective. More studies are needed on more variable wavelength and the fluence of UVC irradiation. In addition,further verification on the mechanism and the effect of anti-fungal activity by paeonia extracts are needed.
