The purpose of this study was to introduce all kinds of early childhood English teaching approaches, techniques, procedures, and methods. Young children bring with them an already well-established set of instincts, skills and characteristics which will help them to learn another foreign language based on the individual differences. Language teaching should be concerned with authentic life. The methods were designed to increase competence for natural communication in English, to strengthen children's English language proficiency. to increase self-confidence in using English, and to prepare children for participation in the global community. Therefore, the present study looks at how theories have been realised in methodological practice. The present study talked about approaches, methods, techniques, procedures and models, all of which go into the practice of childhood English teaching.

Association between shopping items and the demographics of foreign tourists in South Korea

Purpose – In this research, we look over and investigate associations between shopping items and the demographics of foreign tourists in South Korea. The related seven varables are gender, age, occupations, country of residence, visit month, visit purpose and trip type. In addition, we can graph twenty-one shopping items in association with the demographics of foreign tourists by computing their dissimilarity or similarity on two dimension planes granting that the associaition exists between the underlying variables. Research design, data, and methodology – This research is performed by Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2017 and investigated 13,200 foreign tourists from 20 countries. For analyzing the detailed relationships between between shopping items and the demographics of foreign tourists, we utilize both independent test and correspondence analysis as key statistical techniues. Results – The findings show that shopping items which foreign tourists purchase are closely associated with the three different demographics variables – country of residence, tour type and visit purpose by monitoring significant p-value of chi-squared statistic. Conclusions - This study suggests Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism must explore ways toward tourism infrastructure such as global marketing, municipality strategy for attracting foreign tourists, development of diverse shopping items and services and so on

English teachers and linguists should use the teaching methods of phonological analysis, Syntactic program, morphological treatment, and pragmatic program, by means of utilizing computer technology. Students will improve their competence in speaking, lestening, writing, reading, and translation while using computer, telecommunication device, visipitch, varispeech, sonogram, and oscilloscope in a learning environment. Recently applied linguists and educators have been attempting to discover a new application of modern technology to teaching English as a foreign language. I claim that English teachers should use the oscilloscope, sonogram, visipitch, varispeech, and computer to teach the nature of human speech (i.e., to measure the acoustic aspects of speech in terms of frequency, time, and intensity). I also claim that English teachers and linguists should look at the other related fields such as psychology, neurology' sociology, and physiology to develop a theory and practice of English education.

실물경기변동에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 지난 24년간 조사한 시계열 월별자료에 근거하여 실물경기변동에 대한 분석을 하였다. 이에 관련된 주요한 경제변수로 국내총생산, 소비자물가지수, 환율을 고려하였으며, 벡터자기회귀모형을 적용하여 국내 경제 프로세서 내에 복잡하게 얽혀있는 메커니즘을 단순 용이하게 설명 및 규명하였다. 추가로 실제자료에 근거하여 벡터자기회귀모형을 구축하기 위해서 필요한 경험적인 분석전략을 제시하여 분석자에게 도움을 주도록 하였다.

국내 28개 국공립대학교의 연구성과에 대한 평가

국내 28개 국공립대학교를 대상으로 대학정보공시제에 근거하여 제시된 교육지표 중 연구성과에 관련된 4개의 양적평가 우량성속성 (1인당 연구비 수혜금액, 1인당 연구재단등재지 (KCI) 실적, 1인당 SCI/SCOUP급 실적, 1인당 저역서 실적)에 대해, 유사한 속성을 지닌 대학들을 유사성있는 군집끼리 분류 및 세분화하고 다차원 공간상에 시각적으로 배치시켰다. 이를 통해서 국내 28개 국공립대학은 4개 군집으로 유형화가 가능하며, 각 군집간 또는 군집내에 속한 대학들 간의 유형 및 특성을 평가할 수 있다. Based on the 4 principal research-performance criteria in 28 national universities in Korea, both cluster analysis and multidimensional scaling are performed in this paper. We can classify and/or specialize the initially unknown groups into a group of relatively homogeneous universities and then create new groupings without any preconceived notion of what clusters may arise. Furthermore, the level of similarity of individual universities can be visualized on the multidimensional space so that each university is then assigned coordinates in each of the 2 dimensions. Both types and characteristics of each university can be relatively evaluated and be practically exploited for the policy of the university authority through these results.

A Study on Association between Reasons of Reducing Corporate Logistics Costs and Company Classification

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to establish the government's logistics policy by calculating the logistics cost of the company and grasping the management status, to reduce the logistics cost of the related companies and to provide basic statistical data necessary for the management strategy. This work examines some associations between reasons for reducing corporate logistics costs (RCLC) and corporate classification such as industry and sales size. Research design, data, and methodology – The survey was conducted in 2018 for 2,000 companies based on the business of mining, manufacturing and wholesale and retail industries since 2010. The survey population is 94,976, of which 92,708 are small and medium enterprises and 2,268 are large corporations. The association among factors may be statistically and visually explored by using chi-squared test and correspondence analysis. Result – This study reveals the association between reasons for RCLC and corporate classification and properties and closeness that exist between the categories of each factor can be mined. Conclusion – As a task to reduce logistics costs of industrial products, expansion and operation of joint logistics business, establishment of cooperative logistics network, and establishment of ordinance on support for smart distribution logistics can be proposed.

영어수업에서 미국문화 교육에 대한대학생들의 인식과 한미 문화인식에 미친 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of culture teaching in college English classes. The research questions for this study were set up as follows: First, how about the students’ perception of culture teaching in their English classes? Second, what effect does culture teaching have on their cultural awareness? Data was collected from 75 Korean college students enrolled in an Audio-Visual English class, and a questionnaire was used as the tool for the study. The results showed that students’ perceptions on culture teaching were very positive so they had more interest in English and realized learning American culture is important in learning English. They also showed teaching American culture in English classes did not cause the inter-cultural barrier, and it didn’t raise an awareness of natal culture, either. This study concerned culture teaching in English class could provide not only English skills but cultural knowledge for the students. From this concern and the results, the study suggests the importance of culture teaching in college English classes should be emphasized, and this could make the students more competitive international people in the global context.
