Psychoactive substance abuse, especially repetious gas form of butane inhalation or glue-sniffing is not so scarce for adolescents recently. Careful effort to find out clinical characteristics of 35 young patients aged fourteen to nineteen, hospitalized with glue-sniffing or butane gas inhalation showed some meaningful results. The results were as follows: 1) 65.2% of patients replied that they had been grown up with family problems, some were in broken family and some were separated from their parents to the out of control. 2) Initiation of gas inhalation with peer pressure were the most common, and maintenance for emotional relaxation too. So it suggests a pattern of inhalent abuse inition of peer pressure, maintenance for peace-seeking. 3) 51.4% of patients abused Dextrometrophan simutaneously after initiation of glue-sniffing stone toward other drug abuse in adolescents.

This paper purports to investigate metaphor in terms of speech acts. Taking metaphor as basically a pragmatic notion, this paper applies Austin and Searle's model of speech acts to metaphorical expressions. As a standard for the metaphorical expressions, this paper made use of the maxim of Grice's conversational cooperative principles and specified them further by adopting the principles presented by van Dijk, Loewenberg and Huttar. Concluding that metaphorical speech involves acts of referring and predication about both Tenor and Vehicle, this paper also considered whether a speaker's illocutionary acts likewise involve both Tenor and Vehicle. And the output conditions on the speaker's metaphorical use of speech and the input conditions on the hearer's recognition of metaphorical use of speech are presented. However, this investigation presented some remaining problems then metaphorical speech acts are considered in terms of hearer's point of view. As a final remark, this thesis suggested further investigation of metaphorical speech acts in terms of cognitive psychology of speaker.

원래 신호의 spectral magnitude정보를 모르고 phase 정보만을 가지고 그 신호를 복원하는 magnitude retrieval problem을 본 논문에서 시도하였다. 본 반복법에서는 원래 신호와는 전혀 다른 초기 신호의 spectral magnitude로 일정 함수를 취하는 기존의 방법 대신에 지수함수를 도입하여 수렴 속도를 개선하였다. It is an important fact that the original signal can be reconstructed from a partial information, only spectral magnitude or phase, of the signal by an iterative method. In this paper, a faster algorithm was developed to increase convergence rate to the reconstructed solution using the exponential function instead of constant function of the spectral magnitude of the given signal.

정보산업 사회에서 양질의 전력공급을 위하여 배전 자동화 시스템의 요구는 당연하다고 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 배전선로의 잡음종류와 특성을 알아보고 이의 저감대책을 computer simulation으로 구현해 보았다. 그중의 한 방법으로 LSM(Least Mean Square)adaptive digital filter를 사용하였으며, 비교적 큰 평할 스텍트럼 잡음에 대해서는 상당히 큰 잡음제거 효과를 거둘 수가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. Automatic distribution line systems make the industrialized society enjoy a high quality of electric power. The topics of the paper are to investigate the kinds of and the characteristics of noise and to implement a method of noise reduction by computer simulation. One of the several method is the LMS(Least Mean Square) adaptive digital filter which is very simple to be implemented by software and hardware. It is confirmed that a great reduction is accomplished by the suggested method of this paper.

言語的 意味와 超言語的 意味 : An Investigation of Metaphorical meaning 은유적 의미의 탐색(1)

This paper purports to investigate the somewhat mysterious field of metaphorical meaning. The meaning of metaphor is said to be mysterious because the process by which we can understand the metaphorical meaning is intangible, that is, very difficult to formalize. That by simply juxtaposing two contradictory things(or words, according to some theories)we can arrive at an innovative junction of meaning is a riddle of which we haven't had any satisfactory explanation. Among the many explanations, this paper focused on the Ricoeur's Imagination, and Feeling theory. According to Ricoeur, the semantics of metaphor can not be completed "without including as a necessary component a psychological moment of the kind usually described as image or feeling" Accordingly, this paper tried to give an exact investigation on Ricoeur's three stage of Imagination and Feeling. However, traditionally the linguistic theories have a distaste about the concept of image or feeling. It is because it doesn't have scientific exactness. In other words it can't have any formalization. In this regard any metaphor theory leaves not many answers, but many questions.

濕式法에 依한 輝安鑛으로부터 三酸化 안티모니의 製造에 關하여

An investigation on the production of high purity Sb₂O₃was carried out by means of the acid leaching process from the roasted ore of stibnite. The approach of these studies has been to investigate purity, particle size, recovery and crystal structure of Sb₂O₃obtained through the subsequent treatments of leaching, hydrolysis and neutralization under various conditions. The results obtained in these experiments are summarized as follows; 1) It was possible to use dilute hydrochloric acid to extract Sb₂O₃from the roasted stibnite. Because of the prior roasting treatment, the contamination of impurities could also be reduced in the final products. 2) The rate of extraction of Sb₂O₃from the roasted stibnite was increased concentration of hydro-chloric acid as increased amount of addition of the acid. 3) The yield of Sb₂O₃obtained by hydrolysis of SbCl₃was increased with increasing temperature of hydrolysis. 4) The crystal structure of Sb₂O₃obtained by hydrolysis of SbCl₃at 20℃(room temperature) was confirmed as a orthorhombic crystal structure which is the same as that of valentinite. The recovery of Sb₂O₃from the roasted ore appeared to be nearly 100% under optimum conditions.

음성인식을 위한 끝점 추출과 에너지 정규화

자동음성인식(ASR) 시스템에, 끝점 추출과 에너지 정규화는 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 기존 방법은 낮은 SNR이나 비정상 환경에서는 끝점 추출과 에너지 정규화가 어려워 ASR을 급격히 열화시키곤 한다 ARS을 수행하기 위해 최적의 필터에 3상태 천이도를 사용하고, 필터의 정확성과 강인함을 향상시키기위해 여러 이론들을 이용하여 설계하였다. 그 결과, 여러가지 잡음이 있는 음성신호환경에서 기의 일정한 응답을 주었다. 검출된 끝점은 곧바로 에너지 정규화에 적용하고, 제안된 알고리즘은 낮은 SNR에서 에러율을 크게 감소시키고 있다는 것을 보여준다. Endpoint detection and energy normalization can be crucial to the functioning of the system in automatic speech recognition(ASR). However, in low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and nonstationary environments, conventional approaches to endpoint detection and energy normalization often fail and ASR performances are usually degraded dramtically. For ASR, we use an optimal fiIter plus a three-state transition diagram The filter is designed utilizing several criteria to ensure accuracy and robustness and has almost invariant response at various background noise levels The detected endpoints are then applied to energy normalization directly. Evaluation results that the proposed algorithm significantly reduces error rates in low SNR situation.
