        The effect of the housing potential, V? on the current density distribution at the plane containing the exit slit was investigated. We have found that the ranges of the current density distribution of the Z-axis decrease with increasing │V?│and each distribution curve for various V? has a maximum value. Futhermore, in the condition of V?? -0.4?, these curves have the largest maximum values. Also, the contribution of geomagnetic fkeld on the distribution was discussed.

      • 반투과 박막의 광정수 측정

        The determination of the absorption of very weakly absorbing thin film systems is a difficult problem. Shamir-Graff have introduced a method by which optical parameters of thin films are obtained from meaurements of interference between reflected and transmitted laser beams. Values of n, k, and h, the thickness of the film, are obtained. We have performed the measurements on a silicon oxide and cerium dioxide for evaluation the method. The results of two kinds of sample at room terperature made by vacuum deposition are that (a) the refractive index is 1.92 and the extinction coefficient is 0.001 at depostion rate 6Å/sec of SiO, refractive index 1.93 and extinction coefficient 0.002 at the rate 12Å/sec of SiO and (b) the refractive index is 2.26 and the extinction coefficient is 0.003 at deposition rate 40Å/sec of CeO? in which the whole sample thickesses are range from 1,000Å to 15,000Å.

      • Li+이온이 주입된 Myler박막의 이온공간전하 열자극 전류

        Li+ ions were implanted into Myler film of 25㎛ thick in order to investigate the ionic space charge thermocurrent(TSC). The TSC curve shows an ionic TSC peak at 374k and an electronic TSC peak at about 350K. The activation energy for this ion trapping site was found to be(2.06±0.12)eV. A theory was developes for these bipolar space charge thermocurrents. This theory explained properly that ionic TSC is proportional to the square of the Li ?? ion penetration range and electronic TSC is proportional to the production rate.

      • 전자충돌이 Mo/Pd(100)계의 저에너지 전자회절 pattern에 미치는 영향

        Mo 재질의 평판 위에 Pd(100) 결정시료를 놓고 3 keV의 Ar 이온선으로 동시에 bombardment 시킬때, Mo 원자들이 Pd(100)상에 증착 되는 현상을 발견하였다. 이렇게 증착된 Mo 원자들의 덮임율과 흡착구조, 그리고 이들 흡착구조들이 전자선 충격에 의해 받는 영향을 LEED와 AES를 이용하여 조사하였다. 흡착된 Mo 원자의 덮임율이 0.1일 때, Mo/Pd(100)로부터 어닐링(annealing) 온도 300℃와 500℃이상에서 각각 c(4×2)와 c(4×2)3+(√5×√5)R arctan 1/2 pattern이 관측되었다. 이들 pattern중 안정된 흡착구조인 (√5×√5)R arctan 1/2 는 3 keV의 전자선 충격에 의한 영향이 매우 적으나 불안정한 흡착구조인 c(4×2)는 민감하게 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있었다. Pd(100) sample was mounted on Mo plate in ultra high vacuum chamber, and both of Pd(100) sample and Mo plate were bombarded by 3 keV Ar ion beam. It was found that this bombardment gave rise to deposition of Mo atoms on Pd(100). The coverage and overlayer structure of Mo adatom, and an effect of the electron impact on this Mo/Pd(100) system were investigated by LEED and AES. When the coverage of Mo was 0.1, c(4×2) and c(4×2)+(√5×√5)R arctan 1/2 pattern were observed from this system at annealing temperature of 300℃ and above 500℃, respectively. When irradiating 3 keV electron beam on these surface structures, the c(4×2) corresponding to unstable overlayer structure from both LEED patterns was sensitively influenced but the (√5×√5)R arctan 1/2 not sensitively by 3 keV electron impact.

      • Computer Simulation에 의한 熱發光 現象에 관한 硏究

        TL의 1차, 2차 및 general kinetic order에 대한 computer simulation의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. Kinetic order b값이 증가할 때 TL곡선의 형태는 ??인 영역의 반폭치 τ에는 변화가 없었으나 ??인 영역의 반폭치 δ에는 많음 차이가 있었다. 1차 kinetic order에 대한 δ/ω=0.45이었고 2차 kinetic order에 대한 δ/ω=0.5이었다. 온도상승율 β가 증가할 때 ??도 증가 하였으며 β와 ??사이에는 ?? 의 관계가 성립됨을 알았고, β에 따라 ??과 마찬가지로 ??도 증가함을 알았다. Initial rise법, peak shape법에 의해 구한 활성화 에너지 값을 비교한 결과 ??인 영역의 반폭치 δ를 이용한 활성화 에너지 ??와 initial rise법에 의한 ??값이 computer simulation 시킨 ??에 가장 가까운 값을 나타냈으며, 전체 반폭치 ω를 이용한 활성화 에너지 ??에서 ?? 일 때 ??값과 일치하는 것을 보아, 이탈진동수 S가 상수가 아니라 온도의 함수로 표시되며 S는 ??에 비례함을 알 수 있다. ??이온을 주입시킨 teflon의 TL에 대한 실험 결과와 computer simulation 시킨 결과를 비교한 결과 b=2일 때 실험결과와 계산치가 일치하였다.

      • 127.3˚원통형 정전에너지 분석기의 제작 및 그 분해능 조사

        A 127.3°cylindrical electrostatic energy analyzer has been constructed and its resolution was measured Li? ion source. The measured resolution was about 2.5% when the aperture of entrance and exit slit were 2mm. The obtained ratio of extracting voltage of ion source and deflecting voltage between two deflecting plates, V?/V?, was 0.622. This experimental results was in good agreement with theoretical value.

      • Ge(Li)Spectrometer에 의한 검출효율 및 Co-60의 방사능 측정

        Using the method of a photo-peak-area analysis, the detection efficiencies and the radioactivity of a Co-60 isotope have been measured by means of a Ge(Li) spectrometer connected with a computer based multichannel analyzer. The results indicate that the Ge(Li) detector has a very high energy resolution, 2.13keV FWHM at the energy 1332.50keV and measured efficiencies are in good agreement with the calculated ones in energy region above 500keV. The activity determined in the present work is 3.369(±0.01)μCi. This agrees well with the value 3.371(±0.02)μCi of a standard source. It is shown that the radioactivity can be measured within 2% error for the Co-60 isotope by the Ge(Li) spectrometer.

      • 정전형 에너지분석기에서의 Background factor에 의한 에너지 스펙트럼

        We have already made the concentic cylindrical ESA. and investigated its characteristics. From those experimental results, we detected unexpected background peaks together with the peak corresponding to the extracting voltage, ??, on our energy spectrum of charged particle beams. Therefore, to find out the source of occurrence of those background peaks, we measured the voltage between extractor and slit of ESA conferring that the origin of occurrence of those peaks would be unexpected electric field between extractor and slit. As the results of our experiment, we discovered the existence of time-varying voltage similar to square wave form in this region when the extractor floated from ground and found out these background peaks are caused by floated extractor.

      • 동심원통형 정전에너지 분석기의 제작 및 전자선에 의한 에너지 스펙트럼 분석

        동심원통형 정전에너지 분석기를 제작하고, 전자선을 이용하여 에너지 스펙트럼을 조사 분석하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 스펙트럼상에 추출전압 ??에 해당하는 peak 이외에 두개의 ghost peak가 나타났다. 이들 ghost peak들은 추출전압 ??이외의 미지의 영향때문에 전자들이 추가로 에너지를 얻게되어 나타나는 것으로 생각된다. 측정된 에너지분해능은 입구 slit 구경이 3ø, 2ø, 1ø에 따라 각각 약 4.9(%), 4(%), 3.3(%)이었다. 그리고 추출전압에 대한 편향전압의 비, ??는 약 0.526으로 이것은 이론치 0.5247과 잘 일치하고 있음을 보여주었다. The concentric cylindrical electrostatic energy analyzer has been constructed. Its resolution and energy spectra were inspected and analyzed by electron beam. According to our experimental results, two ghost peaks together with the peak by extracting voltage ?? were detected on energy spectum. We concluded the origin of occurrence of those ghost peaks to be that electrons obtained extra energies by unknown source other than the energy corresponding to ??. The measured energy resolutions were about 4.9(%), 4(%), 3.3(%) corresponding to the apatrure of entrance slits, 3ø, 2ø, 1ø, respectively. The ratio of deflecting voltage νs. extracting voltage, ??, was about 0.526 and this result was in good agreement with theoretical value, 0.5247.
