Stent fracture is a complication following implantation of drug eluting stents and is recognized as one of the risk factors for in-stent restenosis. We present the first case of successfully managing a stent fracture and subsequent migration of the fractured stent into the ascending aorta that occurred during repeat revascularization for in-stent restenosis of an ostium of saphenous vein graft after implantation of a zotarolimus-eluting stent. Although the fractured stent segment had migrated into the ascending aorta with a pulled balloon catheter, it was successfully repositioned in the saphenous vein graft using an inflated balloon catheter. Then, the fractured stent segment was successfully connected to the residual segment of the zotarolimus-eluting stent by covering it with an additional sirolimuseluting stent.
Long Term Litter Production and Nutrient Input in Pinus densiflora Forest

The litter production, the nutrient concentration of each component of litterfall, and the amounts of nutrient into the forest floor via litterfall were assessed for 5 years from January 2009 through December 2013 in a Pinus densiflora forest in Mt. Worak National Park. The average amounts of leaf litter, branch and bark, reproductive organs(flowers and cones), and miscellaneous categories for 5 years were 1.940 ± 0.21, 0.505 ± 0.15, 0.259 ± 0.09, and 0.737 ± 0.14 t ㏊-1 yr-1, respectively. The average percentage of leaf litter, branch and bark, reproductive organs and miscellaneous categories for 5 years were 56.4, 14.7, 7.5, and 21.4%, respectively. The amounts of total litterfall in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were 2.810, 3.796, 3.268, 3.284, and 4.045 ton ㏊-1 yr-1, respectively. The average amounts of litterfall for 5 years were 3.441 ± 0.49 ton ㏊-1 yr-1. The average amounts of N, P, K, Ca, and Mg returned to the forest floor via litterfall for 5 years in this Pinus densiflora forest were 22.73 ± 4.92, 1.05 ± 0.42, 4.26 ± 1.69, 8.48 ± 4.62, and 2.42 ± 1.01 ㎏ ㏊-1 yr-1, respectively.

The purpose of this experimental study is to compare and analyze the Vertical Jump Reaction Time(VJRT), the Simple Whole Body Reaction Time(SWBRT) and the Choice Whole Body Reaction Time(CWBRT). The subjects were choosen 14 goal keepers and 34 soccer players and 34 non-athletes in college. The following conclusions were obtained. 1. The VJRT of the goal keeper group and the soccer player group are faster than that of the non-athletes group. 2. The VJRT is faster than the SWBRT in the goal keeper group and the soccer player group and the non-athletes at 1% level of significance. 3. The CWBRT of the goal keeper group and the soccer player group are faster than that of the non-athletes group. 4. The VJRT is faster than the CWBRT in the goal keeper group and the soccer player group and the non-athletes at 1% level of significance.

Purpose: Plasma adiponectin concentrations are inversely related with metabolic syndrome (MetS), and MetS is associated with increased risk for heart failure (HF). However, the relationship between adiponectin and MetS in HF remains undetermined. Therefore, we tested whether MetS was associated with the degree of plasma adiponectin concentrations in HF patients. Materials and Methods: One hundred twenty eight ambulatory HF patients with left ventricular ejection fraction of <50% (80 males, 61.8±11.9 years old) were enrolled for this cross-sectional study. Echocardiographic measurements were performed, and plasma concentrations of adiponectin, lipoproteins, apolipoproteins (apoB, apoA1) and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) were measured. Results: Adiponectin concentrations in HF patients with MetS (n=43) were significantly lower than those without MetS (n=85) (9.7±7.0 vs. 15.8±10.9 μg/mL, p=0.001). Higher concentrations of apoB (p=0.017), apoB/A1 ratio (p<0.001), blood urea nitrogen (p=0.034), creatinine (p=0.003), and fasting insulin (p=0.004) were observed in HF patients with MetS compared with those without MetS. In HF patients with MetS, adiponectin concentrations were negatively correlated with hsCRP (r=-0.388, p=0.015) and positively correlated with the ratio of early mitral inflow velocity to early diastolic mitral annular velocity, E/E' (r=0.399, p=0.015). There was a significant trend towards decreased adiponectin concentrations with an increasing number of components of MetS (p for trend=0.012). Conclusion: Our study demonstrated that adiponectin concentrations decreased in HF patients with MetS, and that relationship between adiponectin, inflammation and abnormal diastolic function, possibly leading to the progression of HF.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between the Vertical Jump Reaction Time (VJRT) and the Simple Whole Body Reaction Time (SWBRT) and the Response Time (RST) For the study subjects were selected 36 high school soccer players and 37 college soccer player. The results were as follows; 1. The correlation between the VJRT and the SWBRT was proved to have been low. 2. The correlation between the VJRT and RST was proved to have been low. 3. The correlation between each direction of the SWBRT and that of the RST was proved to have been high. 4. The college soccer player group is faster than the high school soccer player group in the VJRT, but difference of mean between the SWBRT and the RST were no significant at 1% level of significance.
