One-bit signaling-based interference management for MIMO V2V sidelink

Massive multiple-input multiple-output can significantly increase the system capacity by allowing vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) networks to share the radio resource pool, if the inter-network interference is constrained. However, in order to control the inter-network interference, it is necessary to exchange channel state information (CSI) between the V2I and V2V networks, which requires a huge amount of signaling resources. This paper proposes an one-bit signaling-based interference management scheme to reduce the signaling overhead while controlling the interference from the V2V network to the V2I network.
RUNX1 Germline Mutation in a Patient with Chronic Thrombocytopenia

One of the pathophysiologic mechanism of inherited thrombocytopenia is a defect in transcription factors that regulate the expression of multiple genes required for mega-karyopoiesis. Runt-related transcription factor 1 (RUNX1) binds to its heterodimeric partner, core binding factor beta (CBFβ), and forms a core binding factor that regu-lates the expression of various target genes. The association between RUNX1 germ-line mutations and familial platelet disorder with associated myeloid malignancy was first reported in 1999. Although this disease has various phenotypes and penetration, the most common symptom is a bleeding tendency due to thrombocytopenia and pla-telet dysfunction. Myelodysplastic syndromes or acute myeloid leukemia may also de-velop in 35-40% of cases. We identified a heterozygous mutation in the RUNX1 gene using diagnostic exome sequencing in an adolescent with chronic thrombocytopenia. The patient will be followed continuously for hematologic malignancies that may de-velop in the future. This case illustrates the importance of diagnosing inherited thrombocytopenia to provide adequate follow-up for hematologic malignancies and reduce unnecessary treatment.

This paper proposes a new interference mitigation scheme for device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaying a cellular network. The object of the proposed scheme is to determine the number of data streams, a precoding matrix, and a decoding matrix of D2D networks so as to maximize the system capacity given the number of data streams of a cellular network while satisfying the constraint of the inter-system interference from D2D networks to the cellular network. Unlike existing interference mitigation schemes based on the interference alignment technique, the proposed scheme operates properly regardless of the number of data streams of a cellular network and moreover it does not require changing the precoding and decoding matrices of a cellular network. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme significantly increases the system capacity by mitigating the intra- and inter- system interference.
지열 시스템의 도입이 지중온도환경에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석적 검토

Ground heat pump systems utilize the annually stable underground temperature to supply heat for space heating and cooling. The underground temperature affects not only the underground ecosystem, but also the performance of these systems. However, in spite of the widespread use of these systems, there have been few researches on the effect of the systems on underground temperature. In this research, case studies with numerical simulation have been conducted, in order to estimate the effect of ground heat pump systems on underground temperature. The simulation was coupled with the ground water-ground heat transfer model and the ground surface heat transfer model. In the result, it was found that the underground change depends on the heat transfer from the ground surface, the heat exchange rate, and the heat conductivity of soil.
태양열 및 지중열원을 이용한 히트펌프 시스템의 최적이용법에 관한 연구

In this research, a heat pump system with a heat source network is suggested which utilizes solar heat and ground heat as heat source for cooling and heating. This paper describes the summary of the suggested system and the results of the annual energy simulation. The heating and cooling loads, the electric consumption and the COP were calculated by TRNSYS 16 and evaluated in the cases of different local conditions and different system compositions. In the results, the superiority of the suggested system has been quantitatively evaluated comparing with the conventional heat pump system using one heat source. Furthermore, it was more significant in cold climate, in which the heating COP was 146% increased compared the air source heat pump system, than it in subtropical climate, 119% increased.
