      • 급성전골수성백혈병에서 백혈구성분채집술에 이은 치명적인 뇌출혈 2예

        The aim of this study is to report 2 cases of acute promyelocytic leukemia who died from intracranial hemorrhage following leukapheresis and to provide proper preventive measures against hemorrhage following leukapheresis. From 1994 to 1997, a total of twenty-six patients with leukemia underwent leukapheresis to control hyperleukocytosis at Ajou University Hospital. Two patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia received all-trans retinoic acid but developed drug-induced hyperleukocytosis. Shortly after leukapheresis, they died from intracranial hemorrhage. The risk factors for fatal hemorrhage are thought to be coexisting disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC), thrombocytopenia aggravated by leukapheresis, exacerbated coagulopathy related to mechanical trauma through leukapheresis and the excess use of citrate during leukapheresis. To reduce the risk of the bleeding associated with leukapheresis, it is necessary to replace platelet sufficiently before and after leukapheresis and to give calcium to correct coagulopathy induced by excess citrate which is used as anticoagulant as well as the correction of disseminated intravascular coagulation.

        색시톡신에 의한 마비독성 패류 중독 2예

        Paralytic shellfish poisoning results from consumption of mollusks that have fed on dinoflagellates capable of producing neurotoxins such as saxitoxin. The saxitoxin is concentrated in the shellfish and acts by decreasing sodium-channel permeability, thereby blocking neuronal transmission in skeletal muscles. Symptoms including paresthesia, perioral numbness, perioral tingling, nausea, vomiting, extremity numbness, extremity tingling, dizziness, ataxia, dysphagia, and weakness have been reported. In serious cases, respiratory hold may occur up to 6∼24 hours after ingestion. Generally, the treatment for paralytic shellfish poisoning is supportive care, but mechanical ventilation is needed in serious cases acompanied by respiratory hold. We experienced two cases of paralytic shellfish poisoning. Respiratory hold was presented in one case and only mild paresthesia in the other case. After supportive management, including mechanical ventilation in former case, both patients were discharged without sequalae.

        Excretory urography is a type of contrast study used to verify and localize upper urinary tract disease. It is an inexpensive and easy way to visualize of anatomic and functional status of the kidney and has been used as a primary imaging modality for the evaluation of urinary tract abnormalities. We describe urological signs of 7 dogs who examined with excretory urography and ultrasonography. Six cases were referred to veterinary medical teaching hospital. Chungnam national university (VMTH, CNU) to evaluate renal function after the treatment for renal failure and one case was referred showing hematuria. In case 1, 2 and 4, blood test and urinalysis was normal and the results of excretory urography presented that renal function were normal range. In case 3, the results of urinalysis, ultrasonography, and excretory urography except blood test presented abnormal kidney and hydronephrosis was diagnosed. In case 5 and 6, blood test, urinalysis, ultrasonography and excretory urography indicated renal failure. In case 7, blood test, urinalysis and ultrasonography presented partially abnormal signs, however, the results of excretory urography was normal range.

        뉴로메드정(옥시라세탐 800㎎)에 대한 뉴라세탐정의 생물학적동등성

        The purpose of the present study was designed to evaluate the bioequivalence of two oxiracetam tablets, Neuromed tablet (Korea Drug Co., reference drug) and Neuracetam tablet (Sam Jin Pharmaceutical Co., test drug), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Release of oxiracetam from the tablet in vitro was tested using KP Ⅷ Apparatus Ⅱ method with various dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty-four healthy volunteers, 23.7 ± 2.4 year in age and 68.9 ± 6.2 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was performed. After oral administration of a tablet containing 800 ㎎ of oxiracetam, blood samples were taken at predetermined time intervals and concentrations of oxiracetam in plasma were determined using HPLC-MS-MS. The dissolution profiles of two formulations were very similar at all dissolution media. In addition, pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUCt, C_(max) and T_(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC, and C_(max), untransformed T_(max). The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the reference drug were 0.42%, 0.45% and -12.58% for AUCt, C_(max) and T_(max), respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals for the log transformed data were within the acceptance range of log 0.8 to log 1.25 (e.g., log0.94 ~ log1.06 and log 0.90 - log 1.07 for AUCt and C_(max), respectively), indicating that Neuracetam tablet is bioequivalent to Neuromed tablet. The major pharmacokinetic parameters, AUCt, and C_(max), met the criteria set by KFDA for bioequivalence indicating that Neuracetam tablet is bioequivalent to Neuromed tablet.

        갈바닉 전류를 이용한 철근부식 탐사기술에 관한 연구 : Part 2: 콘크리트에서 행한 전기화학적 시험 Part 2: Laboratory Electrochemical Testing of Sensors in Concrete

        The correlation between sensor output and the corrosion rate of steel bar was confirmed in concrete environment. Monitoring of open-circuit potential, linear polarization resistance (LPR) measurement and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to evaluate the corrosion behavior of steel bar embedded in concrete. Also, galvanic current measurements of designed sensors were conducted to obtain the charge of sensor embedded in concrete. In this study, the results of corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel showed a consistence among the data obtained by open-circuit potential monitoring, LPR and EIS measurements. Steel/copper sensor showed a good correlation in concrete environment between sensor output and corrosion rate of steel bar. However, there was no relationship between steel/stainless steel sensor output and corrosion rate of steel bar due to the low galvanic current output. Through the relationship between the steel/copper sensor output and the corrosion rate of reinforcing steel, real corrosion damage of the reinforcing steel can reliably be detected.       • 대학교 대형강의실의 조명조건별 조명환경평가

        The purposes of this study are to evaluate the lighting environment of a university assembly hall and to make clear the problems of conditions of lighting operation. The field measurement on the illumination level and the questionnaire survey on subject response of the lighting environment with students were carried out at an assembly hall in C university, Cheongju. These survey were taken on 4th and 9th of December, 2002. The illumination levels of the assembly hall in the condition A (157∼403 lux) were lower than standard (400lux). The illumination levels of the condition B (16∼372 lux) and condition C (0∼1 lux) were poor. The illumination levels of the condition D (231∼510 lux) were somewhat lower than standard. It was found that the present condition of the lighting environment of the university assembly hall is inappropriate illumination level and uniformity for lecture.

      • 유치원 교실의 빛환경 향상을 위한 조도측정 사례연구

        This study is an attempt to establish the improvement process of indoor visual environment. The purpose of this study are to evaluate the illumination condition of a kindergarten and to propose the plan for improvement of indoor visual environment. The field measurement on the illumination and the interview with teachers were carried out at a kindergarten in Seoul. This survey was taken on 1st of May, 1999. The illumination level of the eastern classroom in the first floor (242~288 lux) was lower than standard (500 lux) but the illumination uniformity (1/2~1/3) was better condition than standard (1/7~1/5). The illumination level of the western classroom in the first floor (435~992 lux) was higher than standard, but the illumination uniformity (1/15~1/8) was worse condition than standard. The illumination level of the western classroom in second floor (850~1575 lux) was higher than standard, but the illumination uniformity (1/17~1/10) was worse condition than standard. It was found that the eastern classroom in the first floor and the underground gymnasium were low condition in illumination level, but the western spaces were bad condition in illumination uniformity.

        대학주변 원룸형 다가구주택에 있어서 거주자 평가에 의한 소음실태분석

        The purpose of this study is to make clear the present condition and the reason of noise in one-room type multi-family housing around the campus by residents' subjective responses. The respondents are 104 residents living in one-room type multi-family housing around the campus The results are as follows. 1) The residents show relatively non-positive responses at evening and night on the present condition of noise in outdoor and indoor of building or indoor of house unit. 2) The types of outdoor noise of building are checked frequently are 'talking loudness' and 'traffic noise'. 'Walking and talking sounds in stairs and corridors' among the types of indoor noise of building shows highest percentage. They answer 'living equipment noise' and 'water hammer' as major types of indoor noise of house unit.
