In this study, the possibility of customers' repurchase is estimated using the data mining techniques in Micro-marketing. The probability of repurchase is estimated using both Logistic regression analysis and Poisson regression analysis. Applying the threshold generated by ROC analysis considering the sensitivity and the specificity to the rent car data, the status of customers' repurchase is predicted. The result shows that the Poisson model predicts the repurchase status better than the Logistic model.

The purpose of this experiment is an experimental study on recycling of waste concrete and suggest a possibility of the Recycled Aggregate Concrete after establishing some kinds of experimental properties of concrete. Therefore, this study compared and investigated properties of natural aggregate concrete and recycled aggregate concrete by replacing the ratio of recycled aggregates under the absorptions, compressive strengths and chemical resistances. As the result, the compressive strength and the chemical resistance of Recycled Aggregate Concrete is lower than the natural aggregate concrete. If was concluded that the properties of the recycled aggregates and lower than natural aggregates.

In fitting a model, there always exists a discrepancy between the fitted model and the true functional relationship. In measuring this discrepancy, Box and Drapper (1959) used the criterion dividing the discrepancy into two parts which are the bias error part and the variance error one in single response case. In this paper, an optimum design which makes these two types of errors as small as possible is found by extending the Box and Drapper criterion to multiple response situation. Especially, a design is found to meat rotatability conditions when we fit a quadratic model to each response fearing cubic bias. Using the central composite design, an application of general results to a specific case is shown to help understanding the material.
A Study on Survey Questionnaire to Measure the Knowledge Level of the Foodborne Disease
Bae, Wha-Soo,Kim, Jung-In,Choi, Kook-Lyeol,Kim, Byung-Soo,Cho, Young-Joon,Oh, Dong-Kwan 한국데이터정보과학회 2008 한국데이터정보과학회지 Vol.19 No.1
In this article, the aim is at evaluating the knowledge level of the foodbome disease by developing a reasonable survey questionnaire model. Each questions of the questionnaire is made up to check the knowledge covering the several fields of materials related to the foodbome disease. The pilot survey is implemented to evaluate the validity of questionnaire. Each question in questionnaire is scored to get the quantitative measure of the foodbome disease knowledge by converting the total score into 100 points.
Comparison Study of Multi-class Classification Methods
Bae, Wha-Soo,Jeon, Gab-Dong,Seok, Kyung-Ha 한국통계학회 2007 Communications for statistical applications and me Vol.14 No.2
As one of multi-class classification methods, ECOC (Error Correcting Output Coding) method is known to have low classification error rate. This paper aims at suggesting effective multi-class classification method (1) by comparing various encoding methods and decoding methods in ECOC method and (2) by comparing ECOC method and direct classification method. Both SVM (Support Vector Machine) and logistic regression model were used as binary classifiers in comparison.
A Study on K -Means Clustering
Bae, Wha-Soo,Roh, Se-Won 한국통계학회 2005 Communications for statistical applications and me Vol.12 No.2
This paper aims at studying on K-means Clustering focusing on initialization which affect the clustering results in K-means cluster analysis. The four different methods(the MA method, the KA method, the Max-Min method and the Space Partition method) were compared and the clustering result shows that there were some differences among these methods, especially that the MA method sometimes leads to incorrect clustering due to the inappropriate initialization depending on the types of data and the Max-Min method is shown to be more effective than other methods especially when the data size is large.
The Influendce Measure in Testing Mean
Bae, Wha-Soo 인제대학교 1998 仁濟論叢 Vol.14 No.1
In testing population mean, the testing statistic depends on the sample mean and variance, which are very sensitive to the extreme values. This study aims at investigating the influence of such observations. An example is given for illustration. Key words and pharases : t-statistic, influential data, deviation
Computing the Repurchase Index Based on Statistical Modeling
Bae, Wha-Soo,Jung, Woo-Seok,Lee, Young-Bae The Korean Statistical Society 2010 응용통계연구 Vol.23 No.4
This paper computes the repurchase index based on statistical modeling. Using the transaction record of a certain product, the repurchase index is obtained by fitting the Poisson regression model. The customers are classified into 5 groups based on the index giving the information about the propensity to repurchase.
An Optimum Design for First Order Fits to Correlated Responses
Bae, Wha-Soo The Korean Statistical Society 1996 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.25 No.4
The aim of this paper is to find a suitable design which minimizes the expected discrepancy: in fitting a first order model fearing quadratic terms as bias where there are more than two correlated responses. Kim and Draper(1994) discussed about choosing a design for straight line fits to two correlated responses The general case with r responses is examined here and the result is applied to a specific case to help understandings.
