        VP-16으로 성공적으로 치료된 위 Kaposi 육종 1예

        The skin is an uncommon site of distant metastasis from any internal malignancy, and the incidence of metastatic skin lesions as the first symptom of disease is only 0.8% in patients with all systemic malignancies. Furthermore, cutaneous metastasis from adenocarcinoma of the stomach has been found to be extremely rare. A 35-year-old female patient was admitted due to multiple cutaneous nodules in her chest, abdomen, and back. A gastroendoscopic examination and biopsy was made according to the results of skin pathologic findings. Stomach and skin biopsy results revealed a signet ring cell type of adenocarcinoma. A case of gastric adenocarcinoma in which metastatic skin nodules appeared as the first sign of disease, is here in reported with a review of related literature.

      • 백서 해마에서 카이닌산 유도 경련에 의한 JNK 경유 신호전달경로 활성화의 발달 단계에 따른 변화

        연구목적 : 어린 백서의 해마에서 전기경련충격(electroconvulsive shock, ECS) 후 활성화되는 것으로 알려져 있는 MAPK계 신호전달경로가 카이닌산(Kainic acid, KA)에 의한 경련 후 어떤 양상으로 활성화되는 지를 초기 발달 단계에 따라서 관찰하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 생후 7일, 14일, 21일 된 어린 백서와 성년 백서의 해마에서 면역블롯 방법으로 MAPK계 효소의 인산화 효소 중 하나인 SAPK/ERK kinase-1(SEK-1), MAPK계 효소인 c-Jun N terminal protein kinase(JNK), 전사인자 c-Jun 및 조기유전자 단백질 Fos의 단백질 양과 기저 인산화를 측정하였고, 백서에게 KA를 주사하여 경련을 유발한 후 위 단백질들의 인산화 변화의 양상을 같은 방법으로 관찰하였다. 결 과 : SEK-1, JNK, c-Jun 모두 연령 증가에 따른 단백질 양 자체에는 변화가 없었다. JNK와 c-Jun은 기저 인산화의 양적 변화도 없었으나 SEK-1의 경우 기저 인산화 양이 생후 7일에 가장 높고 이후 연령이 높아짐에 따라 감소하였다. JNK의 경우 KA 주사 후 인산화 변화 양상이 관찰되지 않았으나 SEK-1과 c-Jun은 생후 14일부터 연령의 증가와 함께 인산화 양도 증가하였다. Fos 역시 생후 7일부터 발현되어 연령의 증가와 함께 발현양이 증가하였다. 결 론 : 백서 해마에서의 MAPK계 신호전달계의 성숙은 연령의 증가에 따라, 또 신호전달 물질에 따라 차이를 보였다. KA 유도 경련 후 JNK는 생후 21일까지도 활성화가 되지 않는 것으로 보아, 세포주에서 알려진 SEK-1 - JNK-c-Jun - Fos로 연결되는 신호전달 경로가 어린 백서의 해마에서는 적용될 수 없음을 시사한다. Objective : We observed the developmental pattern of activation of MAPK signal transduction pathways known to be activated by eletroconvulsive shock(ECS) in young rat hippocampus after kainic acid(KA)-induced seizure. Methods : We used the method of immunoblotting for examining the basal protein amount and basal level of phosphorylation of MAPK kinase(SAPK/ERK kinase -1, SEK-1), MAPK(c-Jun N terminal protein kinase, JNK), transcription factor(c-Jun) and immediate early gene proteins(Fos) in rat hippocampus at postnatal day 7, 14 and 21, respectively. We also examined the changes of phosphorylation of those proteins after kainic acid-induced seizure in the same way. Results : The basal protein amounts of SEK-1, JNK, and c-Jun did not show age-dependent changes and basal level of phosphorylation of JNK and c-Jun remains unchanged throughout the early developmental period. The basal level of phosphorylation of SEK-1 was peaked at postnatal 7 days and then decreased with aging. After kainic acid-induced seizure, the change of phosphorylation of JNK was not observed but those of SEK-1 and c-Jun increased after postnatal day 14. The expression of Fos was observed at postnatal day 7 and also increased with aging. Conclusion : These results show that the MAPK signal transduction system in rat hippocampus matures in accordance with aging, but the process of maturation differs depending specific proteins. This study suggests the signal transduction cascade(SEK-1 - JNK - c-Jun - Fos) which is well established in cell line studies may not be applied to rat hipposcampus because we could not observe the activation of JNK after KA-induced seizure in young rat hippocampus.

        기상 오존처리법을 이용한 견직물의 표백성에 관한 연구

        We studied on the bleaching properties of silk fabric by vapor type ozone processing using ozone's strong oxidation instead of 28% H202 chemical treatment. When vapor type ozone processing was directly treated to fabrics retaining water to 50?70% pick up ratio, high concentration ozone was generated 14,000ppm(168 mg/h) approximately and finally its bleaching improved. The fabric's bleaching effect was improved because vapor type ozone generated the highest decomposition to oxidation of surface and inter molecules. The experiment revealed that fabric's bleaching was improved by change of the pick-up ratio of vapor type ozone processing. However, tensile strength and elongation were reduced by increase of time, and the time that was assumed as the most optimized time to minimize the reduction of fabric's tensile strength and elongation as well as maximizing the fabric's bleaching was 30 minutes.

        파킨슨 질환에 대한 문헌적 고찰

        Parkinson's disease(PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the functioning of the basal ganglia, a brain area that contributes to the control of movement. The disease is caused by the death of nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine, a chemical messenger. The cells affected usually produce a neurotransmitter(a chemical that transmits nerver impulses) called dopamine, which acts with acetylcholine, another neurotransmitter, to fine-tune muscle control. In Parkinson's disease, the level of dopamine relative to acetylcholine is reduced, adversely affecting muscle control. When the supply of dopamine is depleted, the function of the basal ganglia is disrupted and its ability to control movement deteriorates. The result is that PD patients experience moderate rigidity, difficulty in initiating movements and slowness in executing them, and a rhythmical tremor at rest. Although the cause of Parkinson's disease is not known, genetic factors may be involved. About 3 in 10 people with the disorder have an affected family memeber. About 1 in 100 people over the age of 60 in the US have Parkinson's disease. And Parkinson's disease is slightly more common in men. The course of the disease is variable, but drugs may be the best effective in treating the symptoms and improving quality of life. But, The doctor may arrange physical therapy to help with physical mobility problems. It is important to continue to exercise and take care of your general health. Try to take a walk each day. Stretching exercises can help you maintain your strength and mobility. So, This papers will serve about the information of PD for clinical physical therapist. Finally, The aim of review is increasing approach method and technique for PD patients by the view of physical therapy.

        This article review the animals physical therapy. It is so called veterinary physical therapy. The animals physical therapist is working to physical therapy for animals in veterinary clinical field. The veterinary medicine has not veterinary rehabiliation medicine or physical therapy for animals, also physical therapy field in Korea. So, This research will explain about animals physical therapy of Korea and other countries' by journals and internet information and suggest the future of the animals physical therapist. Finally, The veterinary physical therapy is not used to veterinary clinical field in now. But, The veterinary physical therapy will desire to the view of medical serve and economy by the host of animals and clinical veterinarian the future. Animal physical therapy is a new and rapidly developing field of health care for animals. The benefits of physical therapy have long been recognized in humans. More recently, work in the veterinary field has shown the same benefits of physical therapy to be true for animal patients. Performing orthopaedic or neurological surgery, or fitting a human patient with a cast or splint, and then discharging the patient is an outdated approach. In such cases, physical therapy is clearly warranted. Similarly, recent research has shown that post-surgical rehabiltation and therapy after injuries significantly improves the functional outcomes for animals. Physical Therapy is a healthcare profession directed at evaluating, restoring and maintaining physical function and movement. Working with the owner, veterinarian and often other healthcare professionals, a physiotherapist helps your animal to achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being. Equipped with a specialized university Bacheloriate education and intensively educated in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Histology, Neurology, and Pathology, PT's are able to assess, diagnose and treat movement and function. Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation are recognized sciences applied to both humans and animals. The goals of physiotherapy are to relieve pain, restore range of motion/movement, improve function, prevent injuries and expand the physical potential of the patient. Once in the field, physical therapists actively continue their education to keep up to date on the latest treatments and technologies. Via continuing education courses, physiotherapists can learn how to apply their unique and specialized knowledge to other animal species.

      • 녹차의 주성분인 에피갈로카테킨 갈레이트의 정맥주사후 흰쥐에서의 약물속도론 연구

        The pharmcacokinetic study of epigallocatechin gallate was performed following iv bolus administration in Sprague-Dawley rats. The values of systemic clearance (CL) were 68±5 and 27±1 ml/min/kg following iv bolus administration of 1 mg and 5 mg EGCG, respectively. The values of volume of distribution at steady state were 380 and 835 ml/kg body weight after iv bolus administration 1mg and 5mg EGCG, respectively. The decrease in the value of CL and the increase of Vss as a function of dose suggest saturable pharmacokinetics of EGCG in rats.

      • 흰쥐에서 녹차카테킨류의 간추출율의 평가

        To investigate the role of liver in the elimination of green tea catechins, the hepatic extraction ratio of epigallocatechin gallate, epigallocatechin, and epicatechin gallate was investigated following intraduodenal administration of green tea catechin extracts in Sprague-Dawley rats. The plasma concentrations of the catechins in portal and systemic circulations were determined simultaneously in the same rat to evaluate the hepatic extraction ratio. The values of hepatic extraction ratio of epigallocatechin gallate, epicatechin gallate, and epicatechin were 0.54, 0.28, and 0.51, respectively. Therefore, it is suggested that the hepatic clearance plays a major role in the elimination of epigallocatechin gallate and epicatechin.

        흰쥐 뇌에서 전기경련 충격에 의한 CREB 인산화의 발달단계에 따른 변화

        연구목적 : 이 논문에서는 뇌에서 전기경련 충격(Electroconvulsive shock. ECS)에 의한 전사인자 CREB의 인산화를 발달단계에 따라 알아봄으로써 정신장애의 신경발달학적 이해를 위한 생물학적 기반지식을 얻고자 하였다. 방 법 : 생후 7. 14. 21일 및 성년 흰쥐에 ECS를 가하고 시간별로 해마 및 소뇌 조직을 얻어 CREB의 인산화를 알아보기 위해 특이 항체로 면역블롯을 실시하였다. 결 과 : 발달단계에 따라 해마에서는 CREB이 감소한 반면 소뇌에서는 CREB이 증가하였다. 기저상태의 CREB 인산화는 해마와 소뇌에서 생후 7일에 비해 14일 이후 증가하였는데, 소뇌의 경우 CREB의 양증가와 비례하였다. ECS 후 CREB인산화 증가는 해마에서는 생후 21일 이후에 나타났으나, 소뇌에서는 생후 7일은 물론 성년에서도 나타나지 않았다. 결 론 : CREB 매개 신호전달은 발달단계별 및 조직별 활성의 차이를 나타내었으며 해마에서는 생후 21일 이후 ECS에 의해 활성화되었지만, 소뇌에서는 그렇지 않았다. 해마에서 ECS에 의한 CREB 인산화 증가는 c-fos 유전자의 발현과 관계있으리라고 생각되지만, CREB의 Ser-133 인산화 만으로는 발달단계 및 조직에 따른 c-fos 발현의 특이성을 설명할 수 없었다. Objectives : In order to understand the biological basis of neurodevelopmental perspectives of mental disorders, the authors investigated the developmental and regional changes in the phosphorylation of the transcription factor CREB following the electroconvulsive shock(ECS) in rat brain. Methods : Rats of various age groups(7, 14, 21 days postnatal and adults) were given ECS and their hippocampi and cerebella were dissected at specified time points. The content of CREB and phosphorylated CREB were measured by immunoblot analysis. Results : The amount of CREB increased in the hippocampus and decreased in the cerebellum according to the age. Baseline levels of CREB phosphorylation in both tissues were increased from postnatal 14 days, and it was proportional to the amount of CREB protein in the cerebellum. In the hippocampus, ECS increased the phosphorylation of CREB at postnatal 21 days, but in the cerebellum, ECS did not increased the phosphorylation of CREB in any age group. Conclusion : CREB mediated signal transduction pathways showed developmental and tissue-specific changes. ECS increased the phosphorylation of CREB in the hippocampus by postnatal 21 days, but not in the cerebellum. CREB activation is supposed to be related with the induction of c-fos after ECS in the hippocampus. However, the Ser-133 phosphorylation of CREB could not completely explain the developmental and tissue specificity of c-fos induction.

      • 土性에 따른 煙草植物의 養分吸收의 變化

        Experiment was conducted to investigate the relation of growth characteristics, nutrient amount absorbed by tobacco plant, chemical components, changes of NH4 -N and NO3-N in the soil, yield, quality and price per 10a. Nc2326 and Burley 21-tobacco plant grew in sandy loam and clay loam by treated different levels of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium fertilizers. the results were summarized as follows. 1.The plant height, length and width of the largest leaf, fresh weight and dry weight of tobacco leaves and stem of NC2326 and Burley21 were greater in clay loam than those in the sandy loam during growing. 2.The amount of nitrogen and phosphorous in tobacco leaves and stem absorbed by NC 2326 grown in clay loam were increased by 60days after transplanting, and then decreased, and amount absorbed by Burley 21 increased continuously in sandy loam and clay loam till the harvesting time. 3.The contents of potassium, calsium and magnesium in the leaves of NC 2326 and Burley 21 were increased continously during growing period and the amount of patassium uptake was greatest. 4.Total nitrogen, total alkaloid and reducing sugar in the dry leaves of NC 2326 and Burley 21 showed no differences between the plot of sandy loam and clay, but Burley 21 showed higher content of total nitrogen and alkaloid than NC2326. 5.Changes of NH4-N and NO3 -N in soil decreased gradually during growing period. Amount of NH4 -N in the plot of Burley 21 was higher than that in NC 2326 during glowing period. 6.The best yield was shown in the NC 2326 glowing in clay loam soil and quality was highest in the sandy loam. The highest price per 10a, 590, 400, was shown in clay loam with 10-10-20kg/10a fertilization.
