        An Ac-type Plasma Display Panel (PDP) operating with Ne-Ar(0.1%) Penning mixture gas is fabicated. The characterics of the panel with electrodes covered with thin and thick dielectric layers are studied. The brightness of the Neon-orange light emitted by the panel measured as function of applied voltage and frequency. As an application, a graphic display system equipped with PDP showing still and moving pictures is made.

        연근의 열수 추출물이 흰쥐의 국소 뇌혈류량과 혈압에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to measure the changes of regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) and blood pressure(BP) in rats, following the intravenous injection of Nelumbo nucifera water extract. The measurement was continually monitored by laser-doppler flowmeter and pressure transducer in anesthetized adult Sprague-Dawley rats for about 2 to 2 and half hours through the data acquisition system composed of MacLab and Macintosh computer, The results of this experiment were as follows. Nelumbo nucifera significantly increased the changes of rCBF in rats. The rCBF of Nelumbo nucifera was not changed by pretreated propranolol, atropine, L-NNA and indomethacin. But the rCBF of Nelumbo nucifera was decreased by pretreated methylene blue. Nelumbo nucifera decreased the BP significantly, The BP of Nelumbo nucifera was not changed by pretreated propranolol, atropine, L-NNA and indomethacin. But the BP of Nelumbo nucifera was decreased by pretreated methylene blue. These results indicated that Nelumbo nucifera might increase the rCBF and decrease the BP which related to guanylyl cyclase activity.

        유산균들의 콜레스테를 저하성, 내산성, 내담즙성, 항생제 내성 비교

        기능성 요구르트의 제조에 사용되는 유산균은 인체에 유익한 생리활성과 우수한 생존능력을 보유하고 있는 것이 바람직하다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 유산균주의 산과 담즙 및 항생제에 대한 내성을 조사하였으며 in vitro에서 콜레스테롤 저하능을 조사하였다. In vitro에서 콜레스테롤 저하능이 우수한 13균주를 선발하여 이들의 동결건조 분말을 고 콜레스테롤 식이의 실험쥐에 투여하였다. 그 결과 8균주는 비 투여구보다 유의적으로 18.3~27.3%의 콜레스테롤 저하능을 나타냈다(P≤0.05). 이들 중에서 Bifidobacterium infantis AM-220, Lactobacillus AM-245, Streptococcus MA-1의 3균주를 이용하여 요구르트를 제조한 후 동결건조 분말을 이용하여 급여실험을 수행한 결과, 총 콜레스테롤과 LDL 함량이 유의적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. For a probiotic yoghurt it is desirable to utilize lactic acid bacteria with a high survival rate and beneficial function to human beings. We have examined a variety of lactic acid bacteria to assess the acid and bile tolerance and antibiotic resistance. In addition, an in vitro culture experiment was performed to evaluate their ability to reduce cholesterol levels in the growth medium. Thirteen strains were selected from in vitro cholesterol assays and fed to Sprague-Dawley rats with a high-cholesterol diet. Among the 13 strains tested, 8 strains were shown to reduce serum cholesterol levels significantly after 24 days of administration in vivo. Rats were fed lyophilized yoghurt powder fermented with a combination of 3 selected strains: Bifidobacterium infantis AM-220, Lactobacillus AM-245, and Streptococcus MA-1. The levels of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were significantly lower (p≤0.05) in rats fed the yoghurt powder compared with control group. These studies suggest that yoghurt fermented with appropriately selected lactic acid bacteria may have a anticholesterolemic effect.

        성악골 절제후 유리피판술을 이용한 상악재건 3례 보고

        Malignant tumor of the head and neck can be treated by radical excision of the lesion. But the resultant facial deformity acts as a handicap in the patient's life. The quality of life is as important as the quantity. Therefore reconstruction of these patients is an important field in plastic surgery. We used 3 kinds of flap for reconstruction after maxillectomy. Two cases were late reconstruction with Rectus Abdominis myocutaneous free flap and parascapular free flap respectively. In remaining one case, immediate reconstruction was performed with rib bone graft and Latissimus Dorsi free flap. The results were satisfactory. But we found that ptosis of the flap is problem in all cases.

      • 효율적인 모듈러 지수연산을 위한 Radix-4 CSD(Canonic Signed Digit) 리코딩 알고리즘

        데이터 전송 시 보안문제를 해결하기 위하여 가장 보편적으로 이용되는 RSA 암호화 알고리즘은 반복적인 모듈러 지수연산을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 지수연산은 지수의 NZ(non-zero) 비트의 수에 따라 수행시간이 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 RSA 암호화 알고리즘의 지수 연산을 수행할 때에 NZ 비트 수를 최소화하기 위한 잉여수치계에서 적용되는 효율적인 리코딩 알고리즘을 제안한다. 리코딩을 적용하지 않은 일반적인 RSA 암호화 알고리즘과 비교하여 볼 때, 약 20% 정도의 모듈러 곱셈 연산이 감소하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 단순하고 규칙적이므로 하드웨어 RSA 암호화 시스템 구현에 적용하기 용이하다. The RSA crypto algorithm, which is widely used to solve the security problem in data transmission, is based on the modular exponentiation. The performance of the modular exponentiation depends on the number of NZ (non-zero) bits in the exponent. In this paper, an efficient radix-4 recoding algorithm in redundant number system is proposed to minimize the number of non-zero (NZ) bits in the exponent when the RSA crypto algorithm is applied. Compared to the conventional RSA crypto algorithm, the experimental result show that we can save 20% of the modular multiplications when the proposed recoding algorithm is applied. The proposed recoding algorithm is simple and regular to apply and implement the RSA cryptosystem in hardware.

      • DES(Date Encryption Standard) 알고리즘의 효율적인 FPGA 구현

        본 연구에서는 비밀키(Private key) 알고리즘의 대표적인 알고리즘인 DES(Data Encryption Standard)를 Xilinx사의 XC4000 시리즈 FPGA를 이용하여 구현하였다. 구현된 DES는 16라운드를 실행하며 64비트의 데이터와 56비트의 키를 이용하여 연산하며 국제 규격인 FIP-PUB 46-2 Data Encryption Standard를 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 DES 알고리즘을 세 개의 기능 블록(제어부, I/O 레지스터부, One-Round DES 블록)으로 나누어 설계하였다. 데이터 조합(Permutation)과 치환(Substitution) 등의 테이블은 구조화된 모델링 기법을 이용하여 효과적으로 설계되었다. 이들 블록들은 VHDL 언어로 설계하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. DES 알고리즘은 두 가지 버전(Sequential, Pipelined)으로 설계되었다. 구현 결과 사용된 게이트 대비 높은 수행속도를 나타내었다. This paper describes a single chip implementation of the Data Encryption Standard(DES) algorithm using Xilinx XC4000 series Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) technology. The proposed DES architecture executes 16-rounds of DES and supports the FIP-PUB 46-2 Data Encryption Standard. We design three main blocks(Controls (state/round), I/O registers and one-round DES block) for the implementation of DES processor. Each table for data permutation and substitution is efficiently designed due to the structured design strategy. These blocks are modeled in VHDL and verified by simulation and synthesis. We design DES processor in two versions: sequential and pipelined. The implementation result shows relatively high throughput, compared with other approaches. The proposed DES processor is implemented in a single chip FPGA.

        In this paper, I-PD controller by nearal network is designed using variable structure controller. The I-PD control system is stable in the sense that the error is inside the constraint set, the variable structure controller is idle. If the error hits the boundary of constraint, the variable structure controller begins operation to force the error back to the constraint set. Applying this control technique to the position control system using a DC servo motor as a driver, the control performance of controller is verified by the results of computer simulation.

      • 기-액계면 흡착에 의한 계면활성제 및 중금속분리

        CTAB에 의한 CuS 침전 미립자의 응집과 기포 흡착특성을 고찰하였다. CTAB의 기포흡착은 Langmuir흡착식을 따르며, 포말간 본체액의 동반을 고려한 회분해석으로부터 구한 흡착열은 3700cal/mol로 나타났다. CTAB에 의한 CuS미립자의 기포흡착은 기포-입자간 충돌흡착으로 설명되었고, 흡착분리에 대한 최적 농도비는 CuS의 최적 응집농도비와 일치하였으며, 그 값은 [CTAB] 대 [CuS]가 0.1로 얻어졌다. 기포에 의한 포집효율은 pH와 CTAB농도 등에 의존하나 공기의 유량에는 무관하였으며, 최대 포집효율은 최적 첨가농도에서 0.0002로 나타났다. 또한 Cu-Cd-Zn 황화물의 혼합계에서 CTAB를 사용한 기포흡착의 경우 ZnS의 선택적 분리가 가능하였다. The characteristics of the bubble adsorptive separation of CTAB(cetyltrimethyl- ammonium bromide) and CuS precipitates was investigated. The Langmuir adsorption equation was adequate at very low concentration of CTAB, and the adsorption heat was determined from the batch analysis considering the bulk liquid accompanied between bubbles. The adsorption mechanism was explained with the collision adsorption between bubbles and precipitate particles. The optimum concentration ratio of [CTAB] to [CuS] for adsorptive separation was 0.1 and coincided with the ratio for the coagulation of particles. The collection efficiency was depended on pH and CTAB concentration but not the air flow rate, and the maximum efficiency was 0.0002. The selective separation of ZnS from the mixture of Cu-Cd-Zn sulfides was able by the bubble adsorption with CTAB.

        측두하악 관절의 재건을 위한 늑연골 이식의 효과

        We performed costochondral grafting in mmandibular reconstruction including condyle replacement in 5 patients which have 4 cases of ameloblastoma, 1 case of resorption of left condyle due to osteomyelitis. We harvested the 6 th costochondral cartilage of unaffected side. No specific complications were appeared with unexpected fracture of costochondral junction and infection of operation site, These patients show 30-45mm at month opening, near normal of affected side, near normal or normal of unaffected side at lateral excursion. Postoperative coureses was uneventful with improved cosmetic and functional results. Our report is indicated that the costochondral graft is satisfactory to reconstruct mandibular defect including condyle replacement, especially in growing patients.
