      • 安東을 中心한 慶北地域의 夏節期 氣溫特性(Ⅰ)

        The Andong region that includes Youngju, Bonghwa, Yechon, and Uisung is located in a basin bounded in the northeast and northwest by the Mt. Ranges of Taeback and Soback, and because of the closeness to Andong and Imha dams it has come to experience a large variation in climate. Due to an excessive amount of evaporation of moistures from open surfaces of these dams in the region it has not been possible to avoid heavy fogs, and because of the cooling effect accompanying the evaporation it has come to experience greater variation in temperature. The summer climate of the region may be characterized as follows : 1) The temperatures fall in the eastern coastal region that includes Uljin, Youngduk, and Pohang during the summer when there is a low pressure developed m the southern part of Tonghae following the pattern of high pressure in the north and low pressure in the south induced by the northeastern air current, but the temperatures fall frequently in the interior region that includes Andong, Yougju, Bonghwa, Yechon, Uisung, Sunsan, Kimchon, and Taegu when there is a low pressure region developed there following the pattern of high pressure in the east and low pressure in the west. 2) The temperatures fall equally in both the coastal and interior regions when there is a cold front, spread across east-west line, moving rapidly southward from central region due to a high pressure in the north and a low pressure in the south, and in the interior region the temperatures fall quite rapidly-this trend continues for the next two to three days. 3) The highest temperature during the summer in Kyungbuk region is due to wind effect that may have been resulted from the Foehn-phenomena with the Taeback Mt. Range as boundry. 4) The temperature rises when daily variation is of the pattern of A or B, but the temperature falls when the daily variation is of the pattern C or D. The temperatures fall in the western coast and rise in the interior region when the high pressure region forms a tounge pattern with the axis along the eastern coast. When the axis of the high pressure region is along the western coast, the temperatures rise in both regions, and the amount of rise is comparable, thus creating the pattern E. These five patterns of variation may be considered as the characteristics of the summer weather in the Kyungbuk region.

      • 미니동종 조혈모세포 이식에서 T림프구 수용체 단클론성 항체의 이용 가능성 및 혼합 림프구 배양에서 림프구 억제효과에 대한 연구

        연구배경: 조혈모세포이식 및 조건화 치료는 원발성 질환을 제거 후 새로운 조혈세포를 이용한 공간을 마련하고 세포의 생착을 이름으로써 치료의 목표를 달성하고자 하나 심한 부작용으로 인한 높은 조기 사망률은 극복하여야 할 점이다. 저독성 조건화 처치를 하면 불충분한 면역세포의 살해로 인한 거부반응이 큰 문제가 된다. 이에 거부반응 및 이식편대숙주반응의 중요한 역할을 하는 림프구에 대한 억제작용을 갖는 단클로성 항체의 생체 내에서 효과를 추측하기 위해 DLA(Dog lymphocyte Antigen) mismatched dog의 말초혈액을 이용한 MLC assay를 시행하였다. 방법: DLA typing의 결과와 비교하기 위해 단클론성 항체 첨가 없이 DLA가 서로 다른 3마리의 말초혈액을 이용하여 서로의 MLC 반응을 비교 실험하였다. T림프구 수용체에 대한 단클론성 항체의 농도에 따른 proloferation 억제효과를 보기 위해 2, 10, 20, 200ug/ml의 농도로 DM5 (antigranulocyte antbody: 음성 대조군)와 비교하였다. 항원에 감작된 림프구에서의 D5에 대한 효과를 보기위해 장기 골수 배양 배지에서 responder를 stimulator 및 D5와 함께 3일간 배양후 세척하고 2일간의 배양후 다시 stimulator로서 재자극 후 5일 뒤에 proliferation assay를 시행하였다. 실제 이식을 시행한 donor 및 recipient의 세포를 분리하여 proliferation assay를 하여 이식 전후를 비교하였다. 결과: T림프구 수용체에 대한 단클론성 항체의 농도를 달리한 실험에서 2, 10 ,20ug/ml 모두에서 같은 농도의 DM5는 억제효과가 없는데 비해상 당한 림프구증식 억제효과가 관찰되었다. In vivo 실험에서 중용량의 방사성 치료 및 면역 억제 요법으로 DLA matched 2마리 모두에서 성공적인 생착을 확인하였다. 공여자의 mismatched sample에 대해 G-CSF를 이용한 가동화 치료전 보다 낮은 proliferation score를 보였다. 결론: T림프구 수용체에 대한 단클론성 항체는 In vitro 실험에서 T림프구의 억제효과가 관찰되었고 동물 이식에서 부작용을 줄이는 저용량의 조건화 치료 후 생착을 유도하는 면역억제제로서 그 가능성을 확인하였고 향후 그 기전에 대한 연구 및 많은 생체 실험이 필요하다고 생각된다. 재생불량성 빈혈 같은 저세포 충실도의 골수 질환이나 과거에 방사선 치료를 심하게 받은 경우는 이미 골수 내 생착을 위한 공간이 마련된 상태이므로 특별한 면역억제 요법이 가능하다면 이러한 저독성의 조건화 처치가 유용하게 응용될수 있을 것으로 전망된다. Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of anti-TCR monoclonal antibody in mixed lymphocyte culture and as a part of immunosuppressive regimens in the allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Since marrow space is empty in the patients with aplastic anemia or previous radiation and no new space for allograft needs to be created, nontoxic imminosuppressive conditioning regimens should be feasible. These may include monoclonal antibody directed against T cell receptor other surface determinants on T cell. Moncoclonal antibody (MAb) 15.9D5 raised to canine TCR α β was found to induce hyporesponsiveness to allogeneic stimulator cells in primary and secondary mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC). Methods: Anti-TCR monoclonal antibody was tested to evaluate its suppressive effect of lymphocyte activity in vitro compared with anti- granulocyte anti body and used as an immuno-suppressive agent in two recipient dogs. Four different concentration of anti-TCR MAbs was tested in MLC to know the appropriate concentration for suppressing lymphocyte proliferation, and MLC assays were serially done from blood sample of recipient dogs and donor dogs before and after transplantation. Results: Anti-TCR monoclonal antibody had significantly suppressed H3-thymidine uptake in MLC compared with anti-granulocyte antibody(control). In two recipient dogs conditioned with non-myeloablative regimens and MAb, transplanted with DLA- matched donor dogs, successful mobilizing stem cells were less reactive to the stimulator lymphocytes than the lymphocytes from the dogs not treated before. Conclusion: The precise mechanism of immunosuppression induced by anti- TCR MAb needs to be elucidated. G-CSF had a role in suppressing lymphocyte activity of donor dogs and might have a role in preventing GVHD. Non-myeloablative conditioning strategy might be useful in patients with hypoplastic marrows who require immunosuppression only (e. g. aplastic anemia) and already has some spaces for engraftment in the marrow (e. g. irradiated marrows).

      • 실내환경중의 산소발생기 사용에 대한 인식도 평가

        Recently, Indoor air quality(IAQ) in workplace, residential environments and office has been concern of people, scientists and related the public. The oxygen in air was very important and essential element in every aspect of life. This study was performed on a questionnaire survey of 400 people about their awareness of indoor air quality, oxygen generators and measured of oxygen concentration in indoor environment. The results obtained were as follows; As respondents are having their 90% of daytime indoors a day, and 80% of them can feel indoor air pollutions degrees directly by particle matters. The control of most important problems of IAQ was the poor ventilation. We know that 22% of the respondents was recognized the oxgen generator. And for the installation of indoor pollution control equipment, 20% of all respondents installed oxygen generators because almost respondents was not satified the trust of ability purified indoor air pollutants. In the experimental results, it was found that the oxygen concentration of sampling sites were in the range of 20~23.5%. Therefore, it was recommended that the government related IAQ was suggested the guideline and control of oxygen generators. Finally, it appeared that the oxygen generators using indoor environment can be applied to new technology for cleaning of indoor air.

        치근단절제술을 이용한 치근단 병소의 치료에 대한 증례보고

        It has been reported that the operative treatment for the preservation of tooth having periapical lesion has shown over ninety percent of success whereas in the case where calcified canal is severe, canal is perforated, ledge is formed, tooth restored by post and core and cases where symptoms still exist after treatment, endodontic treatment may not all be the solution in attaining a successful treatment. Thus Apicoectomy would generally be used to prevent the loss of tooth having periapical lesion where treatment prognosis is poorly evaluated by endodontic treatment. In case 1 and 2, endodontic treatment was applied due to unilocular radiolucent lesion in periapical area but the symptoms somehow did not show improvement and therefore operated apicoectomy, and as in case 1, favorable results were attained but as in case 2, yet more observation has to be done. The followings are the results we have concluded: 1. In the process of endodontic treatment, absolute canal obturation has great effect on attaining successful treatment. 2. In cases where endodontic treatment is not highly recommended, for example, tooth having dental pulp and periapical lesion, favorable results can be attained by applying apicoectomy.

      • 천이금속 표면에서의 수소 흡입의 동력학 : 수소흡착, 방출과 확산에 관하여

        천이금속(Nb) 표면에 수소의 두 상태는 R.J. Smith에 의해 암시되어 왔다. 우리는 이것을 받아들여 천이금속 표면에 두 개의 상태를 가정하여 몇 개의 경우의 potential barrier에 관해 charging과 degassing 조건하에서 수소원자의 fraction의 시간에 대한 변화율을 얻었다. 그리고 수소의 표면 fraction θ에 대해 온도와 log(θ/1-θ)의 비와 peak amplitude를 구하여 R.J. Smith팀의 실험결과와 비교했으며 그것을 이용해서 온도에 관한 desorption rate를 얻었다. It was known by R.J. Smith that there are two kinds of surface states on transition metal(Nb) surfaces. Furthermore for all metals desorption energy is larger than the solution energy. Here we present a model for hydrogen absorption of metal surfaces and then obtained the time rates of hydrogen charging and degassing on metal surfaces for few limiting cases. We also get log(θ/1-θ) versus the reciprocal temperature and peak amplitude of surface fraction versus the temperature, turned out to be good agreement with experiments. Finally we get the desorption fraction of hydrogen atom.

        구진상괴사성 결핵진 3례

        Papulonecrotic tuberculid is an eruption of necrotizing papules, particularly affecting the extremities and occurring in more or less symmetrical crops, and responding to antituberculosis therapy. Individual lesions heal with scarring. Histologically, vascular involvement is seen in early lesions. Late lesions are divided into two forms. In superficial forms, wedge shaped area of necrosis forms in epidermis and upper dermis. Epithelial and lymphoid cells gather around its periphery. In deep forms, with no epidermal change, granulomatous changes surrounded by well defined palisading histiocyte and lymphoid, epithelioid cells are seen. In mid-dermis and perivascular area, vessel shows vasculitis. In the first case, leukocytoclastic vasculitis and early granuloma formation were seen. In the second case, palisading granuloma formation was seen. In the third case, tuberculoid granuloma formation was seen. We report three cases of papulonecrotic tuberculid showing three different stages of histological finding, in individual cases.

      • 2000년 부산광역시 서구에서 발생한 세균성이질 역학조사 평가

        Purposes : Bacillary Dysentery is one of the representative infectious disease that widely occurred in recent years, Korea. This study was performed to propose the helpful advices for control of Bacillary Dysentery outbreak based on an assessment of the results of epidemiological survey for Bacillary Dysentery outbreak on May 16, 2000 in Busan. Methods : Subjects were 7,188 peoples who showed diarrhea and contacted with active participants in a religious meeting and suspected cases surveyed from May 16 to May 31, 2000. Direct interview about participation, presence of diarrhea, and history of spring water drinking, and rectal swab on the patients who had diarrhea were done. Results : Among 7,188 peoples, 458 patients had simple diarrhea, and 135 patients confirmed infected with Shigella sonnei. Among confirmed cases. 94.8% had actively participated the religious meeting. The first case occurred on May 10, and consecutive outbreak was concentrated on May 12 and 13. Elementary school children(40.7%) and their parents(35.6%), and women(65.2%) were majority of the confirmed cases. Drinking history of the spring water during the meeting was highly suspected as a cause of this outbreak(odds ratio=3.29, 95% confidence interval=1.59∼6.82). Food intake history was not checked because with low possibility of causing factor. Conclusions : This outbreak appear to be closely related to drinking not sterilized spring water when participating in a religious meeting. However, actual route of transmission was not defined because the epidemiological survey was started six days after the first attack, and, could not find the causative agent in the spring water. The prompt epidemiological survey thought to be essential and important when occurred episode. And also, cooperation with the corresponding health authorities would be very important when the outbreak occurred distant area as this episode. Personal and public concerns and efforts should be sustained to prevent the outbreak and spread-out of Bacillary dysentery.

        We have fabricated the double-insulated multi-color thin film electro-luminescent devices which have different fabrication condition such as phosphor materials, the concentration of dopants, substrate temperatures and annealing process. Also we investigated the electric and optical phenomena of devices which depend on fabrication conditions, and explained them on the basis of physical excitation mechanism. We could measured the brightness of devices, ie, 3000 Cd/㎡(maximum peak value: 5850Å, yellow-orange)in ZnS:Mn device, 1800 Cd/㎡(maximum peak value: 5420Å, green) in ZnS:TbF_(3) device, 300 Cd/㎡(maximum peak value: 6500Å, red)in ZnS:SmF_(3) device, 350 Cd/㎡(maximum peak value: 6500Å, red)in CaS:EuCl_(3) device, and 450 Cd/㎡(maximum peak value: 5050Å, blue)in SrS:CeCl_(3) device at 5KHz sine wave.
