Diffuse alopecia areata is the least common clinical type of alopecia, and this diffuse form lacks the characteristic hairless patches of alopecia and it begins as diffuse hair loss. Diffuse alopecia areata has been poorly characterized. In 2002, there was a suggestion to define this form of alopecia areata as acute, diffuse and total alopecia of the female scalp (ADTAFS). ADTAFS is characterized by a marked female predominance, tissue eosinophilia and a uniquely short clinical course. We report here on one case of ADTAFS. (Korean J Dermatol 2008;46(10):1407∼1410)

A Case of Cutaneous Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Tumor
Soo Bin Son,Young Soo Heo,Won Woong Shin,Tae Seok Oh,Hae Jun Song,Chil Hwan Oh 대한피부과학회 2010 Annals of Dermatology Vol.22 No.1
Pseudo-inflammatory tumors are also known as plasma cell granuloma, inflammatory pseudo-tumor and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, and these tumors are a group of highly variable proliferations of myofibroblastic cells that are associated with a prominent inflammatory infiltrate. This tumor is known to most commonly occur in the lungs, bladder and gastrointestinal system with only a few cases having been reported in the skin. A previously healthy 26-year-old man presented with a 6-year history of an intermittently pruritic lesion on his back. On the histologic examination, there were spindle cells in fascicles and a mixed inflammatory cellular infiltrate of plasma cells and lymphocytes. A diagnosis of inflammatory fibroblastic tumor was made and the nodule was surgically removed. We report here on an additional case of this rare cutaneous entity, and it is probably the first such report from Korea. (Ann Dermatol 22(1) 91∼95, 2010)
피부 악성 종양에서 EGFR의 발현과 금 나노 입자를 이용한 Molecular Labelling에 대한 연구

Background: The potential benefits of a molecular characterization of cancer are clear. Because of this, there is pressing need to perform in vivo imaging of the molecular features of cancer. However, before designing an appropriate molecular targeting technique utiilizing a cancer-related target molecule such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), it is necessary to characterize the exact expression of the target molecule. Objective: The objective of this study was twofold. Our first goal was to characterize the expression of EGFR in skin cancer, and second, to develop nanoparticles conjugated with antibodies, demonstrating their use as optical probes for detecting cancer cells in vitro. Methods: We performed immunhistochemical analysis of EGFR expression in skin cancer using monoclonal antibodies. Gold nanoparticles were synthesized and allowed to conjugate to anti-EGFR in epithelial cancer tissue. Following an incubabtion period, we recorded surface plasmon resonance images using gold nanoparticles conjugated to anti-EGFR antibodies. Results: Specific membranous binding of EGFR was detected in all of the 10 non-melanoma skin cancers. Surface plasmon resonance images using gold nanoparticles also showed light scattering around tumor cells. Conclusion: These ex vivo results demonstrate that optical imaging using gold nanoparticles can allow selective detection of human epithelial cancer cells. Our study demonstrates the potential of gold nanoparticles to target, probe, and illuminate cancer cells making them an effective biomolecular cancer detection tool. Kalman-Filter Based Static Load Modeling of Real Power System Using K-EMS Data
Soo-Hyoung Lee,Seo-Eun Son,Sung-Moo Lee,Jong-Man Cho,Kyung-Bin Song,Jung-Wook Park 대한전기학회 2012 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.7 No.3
So far, the importance for an accurate load model has been constantly raised and its necessity would be further more emphasized. Currently used load model for analysis of power system in Korea was developed 10 years ago, which is aggregated by applying the statistically estimated load compositions to load models based on individual appliances. As modern appliances have diversified and rapidly changed, the existing load model is no longer compatible with current loads in the Korean power system. Therefore, a measurement based load model is more suitable for modern power system analysis because it can accurately include the load characteristics by directly measuring target load. This paper proposes a ZIP model employing a Kalman-filter as the estimation algorithm for the model parameters. The Kamlan-filter based parameter identification offers an advantage of fast parameter determination by removing iterative calculation. To verify the proposed load model, the four-secondinterval real data from the Korea Energy Management System (K-EMS) is used.
Improvement of Composite Load Modeling Based on Parameter Sensitivity and Dependency Analyses
SeoEun Son,Soo Hyoung Lee,Dong-Hee Choi,Kyung-Bin Song,Jung-Do Park,Young-Hoon Kwon,Kyeon Hur,Jung-Wook Park IEEE 2014 IEEE transactions on power systems Vol.29 No.1

This paper presents an effective optimization scheme for the measurement-based load modeling based on the sensitivity analysis of composite load model parameters. Each parameter of load model has different effects on its dynamic response. Moreover, some parameters are insensitive to the change of others. To estimate the dynamic interactions between parameters, their sensitivity is analyzed by using the eigenvalues of Hessian matrix used in the optimization algorithm. Also, the linear dependence between two load model parameters is then identified by examining the condition number of Jacobian matrix. With this parameter analysis, the performance of optimization process for measurement-based composite load modeling is improved by reducing the number of necessary parameters to consider. The performance of proposed method is verified with the practical data measured at a feeder in a real substation.
