Thermocycling이 상아질과 복합레진의 결합강도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermocycling on the tensile bond strength and marginal leakage of composite bond to dentin surface. Four kinds of dentin conditioner and adhesives including Superbond D-Liner, All-Bond 2, Prisma Universal Bond 3, and Clearfil Photobond were used for this study. Thermocycling consisted of 500 cycles, 15 seconds dwell time each in 5℃ and 55℃ bath. Tensile bond strength was measured using an Instron testing machine with a crosshead speed of 1mm/min, marginal leakage was evaluated using an image analyzer, and applicated dentin surface was observed by SEM. The results obtained were summerized as follows; 1. Tensile bond strength was 6.64 ±2.32 MPa at Superbond D-Liner group, 6.35 ±1.56 MPa at All-Bond 2 group, 4.75 ±0.95 MPa at Prisma Universal Bond 3 group and 4.66 ±1.89 MPa at Clearfil Photobond group. Superbond D-Liner group and All-Bond 2 group were larger than Clearfil Photobond group(P<0.05). 2. After thermocycling, tensile bond strength showed significant difference between All-Bond 2 group and the others, Superbond D-Liner group and clearfil Photobond group(P<0.05). 3. Marginal leakage after thermocycling of Superbond D-Liner group and All-Bond 2 group were less than Prisma Universal Bond 3 group and Clearfil Photobond group(P<0.05).

This study is purposed to analyse the effects of long-term & one-time 10km running exercise from bone metabolic marker change on bone metabolism. 7 male members(18.6±1.08) from a marathon club were subjected to the study. They were allowed to do long-term 10 km running training once a week for 6 months. And bone metabolism mark was determined according to the respective times : before/after 6 months training, before/after 10 km race, one day after the race, 3 days after the race. The examination items of bone metabolism mark were serum calcium, phosphorus, paratyroid hormone, osteocalcin, calcitonin, alkaline phosphatase in blood and calcium, phosphorus, deoxypyridinolin in urine. The results of study were as follows; 1) There was no change in deoxypyridinolin and alkaline phosphatase but there was significant change in calcitonin, paratyroid hormone and osteocalcin(p<.01). 2) There was no change of Calcium in serum and urine but there was significant change of phosphorus in blood(p<.01). To make a conclusion, it is determined that long-term 10 km running at low intensity and low frequency tends to restrict bone metabolism circulation, but exercise at a little high level activates bone metabolism into building up bones and absorbing bones and finally shows up high bone metabolism circulation, which is inferred to have an effective influence on bone health. It is considered there is a possibility that different exercise intensity, even same kind of exercise, influences on bone metabolism sdifferently.
Flavobacterium meningosepticum에 의한 균혈증 1예

1996년 6월 카톨릭대학교 부천성가병원에 뇌경색으로 입원했던 61세 남자 환자의 혈액에서 Flavobacterium meningosepticum을 분리하였다. 환자는 폐렴을 동반한 패혈증의 예로 ceftriaxone과 metronidazole을 투여하였으나 입원 48시간만에 사망하였다. Flabovacterium meningosepticum is a rae cause of nosocomial infection which shows multi-drug resistance. It mainly invades patients with impaired immunity. Recently, we experienced a case of F. meningosepticum bacteremia in a patient with chronic debilitated state owing to stroke. The clinical progress was so rapid that he died within 48 hours. Blood culture revealed F. meningosepticum which showed characteristic yellow colony in blood agar plate.
Efficacy of diphenylcyclopropenone immunotherapy for wart based on location

Background: As many treatment modalities for cutaneous wart have beenused, it is important to select proper and individualized treatment method. Diphenylcyclopropenone immunotherapy is a widely used topical immunotherapy, but clinical factors predicting treatment response has not been well studied. Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of diphenylcyclopropenone immunotherapy for wart based on location Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on the patients who had been treated with diphenylcyclopropenone immunotherapy for wart from 2007 to 2018. Total 262 wart lesions of 99 patients were included. Lesions were divided into 3 groups according to anatomical location: periungual wart, palmoplantar wart and hair-bearing skin wart. The periungual warts were divided into three subgroups of hyponychium, proximal nail fold and lateral nail fold type. Results: Total treatment success rates were 68.7%. The success rate for periungual wart (75.3%) wassignificantly higher than those of palmoplantar wart (60.4%) and hair-bearing skin wart (60.3%). There was no significant difference between treatment success rates of subgroups of periungual warts. Conclusion: Diphenylcyclopropenone immunotherapy is an effective treatment modality for the periungual warts.

Degos disease, as known as malignant atrophic papulosis (MAP), is a rare vasculopathy in small and medium sized vessels that could involve skin, GI tract, CNS, kidney and other systemic organs. Skin lesions are typically manifested as erythematous papules with porecelain-white atrophic center. Prognosis is depending on systemic organ involvement. Histologic findings in early lesion show superficial and deep perivascular lymphocytic infiltration with mucin deposition. The developed lesions show atrophy of the epidermis and sclerosis in the papillary dermis. There is no established therapy. Some authors have reported aspirin, pentoxifylline, dipyridamole, eculizumab and treprostinil is effective. Herein, we describe a case of 55-year-old female with multiple asymptomatic erythematous papules with atrophic center for several months. There was no sign of systemic organ involvement. Histopathologic findings revealed perivascular and periadnexal intense lymphohistiocytic infiltration with dermal bluish edematous change. In laboratory studies, antinuclear antibody and anti-phospholipid IgG were negative. Aspirin and pentoxifylline for 6 weeks did not prevent new cutaneous lesions.

<P>An ultra-sensitive gas sensor based on a reduced graphene oxide nanofiber mat was successfully fabricated using a combination of an electrospinning method and graphene oxide wrapping through an electrostatic self-assembly, followed by a low-temperature chemical reduction. The sensor showed excellent sensitivity to NO2gas.</P>

Amoxicillin, an antibiotic that is widely prescribed for various infections, is associated with a very low rate of drug-induced liver injury; hepatitis and cholestasis are rare complications. Here we present a case of a 39-year-old woman who was diagnosed with abdominal actinomycosis and received amoxicillin treatment. The patient displayed hepatocellular and bile-duct injury, in addition to elevated levels of liver enzymes. The patient was diagnosed with amoxicillin-induced cholestatic hepatitis. When amoxicillin was discontinued, the patient`s symptoms improved and her liver enzyme levels reduced to near to the normal range. (Korean J Hepatol 2011;17:229-232)
