        Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome is a rare entity characterized by external compression of the third portion of the duodenum by the SMA, resulting in proximal duodenal obstruction. SMA syndrome is manifesting with nausea, anorexia, epigastric pain, bilious vomiting, and postprandial discomfort severe weight loss in catabolic states, external and intra-abdominal compression, mesenteric tension or postoperative states can lead to SMA syndrome. A 36-year-old man developed sudden-onset epigastric pain, bilious vomiting. He was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 8 months ago and he was treated with antithyroid drugs for 6 months, but he stopped taking the medicine 2 months ago. Abdominal computed tomography revealed typical findings of SMA syndrome. His symptoms subsided shortly after treatment of hyperthyroidism including antithyroid drugs, beta blocker therapy. Then he took radio-iodine treatment. He has taken synthyroid as hypothyroidism after radio-iodine therapy and maintained euthyroid state.

        While the crisis argument is proliferating due to the long-term economic depression and persistent population decline, diverse new ideas for future strategy are offered. Amid such a situation, two survey results on the future of Busan economy have been reported since the beginning of the year. The First one, which is on the future of Busan and developmental strategy, is conducted among 73 former employees of Kukje Newspaper. The other one includes an analysis of the survey conducted for program production of MBC's "Busan in 10 years" series, which was broadcasted in the second half of 2006. For this report, Busan's 100 most representative enterprises and enterprisers replied to the questionnaire, distributed by Busan MBC, along with busan chamber of commerce and industry. Both reports recognize current situation of Busan as difficult and expect that the future is not so bright either. Overall, they anticipate that the future status of Busan will decline even more and suggest that Busan must seek out its own development strategy that takes a full advantage of its peculiarity as a port city. On the other hand, there are some suggestions to overcome the structural problems that caused Busan's status decline. It is forecasted that restoring and expanding the Pacific-intended specialization structure will be an important foundation to prevent thestatus decline in a long-term. This indicates that increased exchange with North Korea, Provinces of North-East China, and Russia; the construction of international division of labor area with Kyushu, Japan; and the formation of south-east industry cluster are the critical foundations of future development.

      • Poster Session:PS 1145 ; Gastroenterology (Pancreatobilliary) : A Conservative and Minimally Invasive Approach to Pancreatic Fluid Collections in 116 Consecutive Patients

        Background: Pancreatic fi uid collections(PFC) may occur as a result of acute or chronic pancreatitis and can develop secondary to fi uid leakage or liquefaction of pancreatic necrosis. Methods: We collected data from 116 consecutive patients with PFC in acute severe pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis, from January 2009 to June 2014, treated at a single center. Collection characteristics, drainage technique, and outcomes were obtained through chart review. Conservative treatments comprised of prophylactic antibiotics coverage, fi uid resuscitation, nutritional support including nasojejunal tube feeding. Results: A total of 116 patients presented with fi uid collections classifi ed as acute peripancreatic fiuid collection(n=20), acute necrotic collection(n=15), pseudocyst(n=56), and walled-off necrosis(n=25). The etiology of PFC was alcoholic in 86(74. 1%), biliary in 9(7. 8%), post-ERCP in 5(4. 3%), other in 5(4. 3%), and idiopathic in 11 patients(9. 5%). Primary catheter drainage intervention for PFC was performed in 30 patients(25. 9%); The drainage technique was percutaneous drainage in 15 patients, transmural in 12, both in 2, and transpapillary in 1. Transpapillary pancreatic duct stents bridging the leak was successfully deployed in 24 patients(20. 7%). 75 patients(64. 6%) were successfully managed without any intervention or drainage procedure. Surgical management was necessary in 6 patients(5. 1%). Reasons for surgical management in 6 patients were transverse colon fistula in 2, persistence of PFC with suspicion of pancreatic malignancy in 4 patients. The success rate of conservative treatment and Minimally Invasive treatment group was 85. 3%(64/75) and 70. 7%(29/41). Overall mortality was 2%(n=3). Conclusions: Approximately 65% of patients with PFC can be treated without an intervention and with low mortality. The study indicates that conservative approach can be preferred in terms of treating patients with PFC to the direct catheter drainage or surgical intervention due to the existence of highly responding patients to the elective procedures.

        Recently, many sociaL economical and political problems have occurred in the field of urban energy supply because of the depletion of fossil fuels and the international climate change agreements and the current energy-related laws focus on individual buildings which makes them difficult to implement. Also, the policies for energy savings have increased day by day, but it is difficult to establish efficient urban plan because of lack of integrated policies and institutions. Current legal systems for urban plan does not cover domestic and intemational climate change agreements, energy related industry's structural changes and other environmental problems such as embodied energy and global warming. This paper tries to investigate current conditions of legal system to provide fundamental materials for improving energy conservation in urban plan.

        Korean government strongly promotes the low-consumption energy society through GREEN GROWTH because of global warming and climate change. According to a societal trend, many cities are developing a renewable energy such as wind power, water power, solar power. Also recently many people are interested in U-city and U-Eco city which deals with an environment and an ubiquitous technique. The purpose of this study is to improve present law or system for a construction of efficient U-Eco city by expert questionnaire. The subjects of questionnaire are the experts in connection with a field of city plan, energy, law system and IT. We searched the problem of present law or system for energy and the improvement by questionnaire.

        Clopidogrel은 항혈소판제로 여러 임상영역에서 사용된다. 기존의 약제보다 부작용도 적어 안전하게 널리 쓸 수 있는 이 약제가 드물게는 이와 같은 심각한 합병증을 유발할 수 있다. 이에 우리는 이러한 합병증을 이해하고 주의 해야 한다. 저자들은 급성 관상동맥 증후군이 있었던 47세 남자 환자에서 이와 같은 합병증을 경험하였고, 약물 중단 및 치료적 혈장분리술 등으로 호전되었던 증례를 1예 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Thienopyridines are antiplatelet agents used in post-percutaneous coronary angioplasty patients and patients with acute coronary syndrome, stroke, and peripheral arterial disease. Ticlopidine has been shown to reduce the incidence of stent thrombosis, but it may also cause serious hematological side effects. Among the thienopyridines, clopidogrel is considered to be a safe alternative to ticlopidine because of its decreased incidence of hematological adverse effects. However, some hematological side effects can occur and may be fatal. In this case, a 47-year-old man complained of dyspnea and generalized edema. He had been taking clopidogrel after coronary angioplasty. His laboratory findings showed acute renal failure, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and thrombocytopenia, which were consistent with hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). After discontinuing clopidogrel and undergoing plasma exchange, he recovered fully. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of clopidogrel-induced HUS in Korea.         Analysis of Economics through Control Method of Heat Source Equipment in Seasonal Air conditioning Building

        The term "energy saving is economical" is appropriate for the national view point and for design and assessment of one system, but not appropriate when choosing the system by comparing alternative systems in the early design step. Sometimes, non-energy saving system is more economical than energy saving system because of the price of electricity, gas or oil, which are used for operating the air conditioning system. Therefore, when designing a system, we should consider the efficient alternatives through economic assessment of energy saving method. However, research on non-operating number control of the system is not sufficient because it is more common to use operating number control of the system for most economic assessment of air conditioning systems. For this reason, this research can provide the economic operating number control method as basic design data. The data obtained through analysis of life cycle cost based on amount of yearly energy use, are produced by system simulation of HASP/ACLD/8501 and HASP/ACSS/8502 for six alternative heatingㆍcooling systems based on seasonal air conditioning system, which is widely used for medium and large size office buildings in Busan.

        EXPLORING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A COMPLEX COATING TECHNIQUE FOR USE THE SMALLEST PARTS OF ADVANCED POWERTRAIN FUEL SYSTEM

        The objective is to develop the complex coating technique with high quality and homogeneity of coating for spherical parts with diameter of 2 ~ 4 mm and stable mass production shall be secured with consideration of coating material, process and jig design. Silicon oxide-diamond like carbon (SiO-DLC) complex coating chemistry is expected to enhance the high temperature stability as opposed to DLC. Currently, the spherical part is first welded and then assembled with other parts, finally they are coated with DLC. However in this manner, the maximum charging in one coating batch is limited due to the very big size of the whole component which increases cost. Therefore the spherical part is to be coated before welding. Overall, reactive sputtering with high precision fixturing and masking technique resulted in the best overall properties for modern powertrain fuel system. The jig design was optimized with consideration of coating properties (height, width, thickness, inserting distance) and spherical parts were fixed at the jig with magnet plate. Coating material and process were determined with several trials. In conclusion the PVD+PACVD coated parts is developed and coatings with high quality, homogeneity and 30,000 inserting amount are secured. Coated parts are minimum 100 % more durable than non-coated parts.

        <P>Four-level nonvolatile small-molecule 4F(2) memory cells were developed with a sandwiched device structure consisting of an upper Al electrode, upper small-molecule layer (Alq(3), aluminum tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)), Ni nanocrystals surrounded by NiO tunneling barrier, lower small-molecule layer, and bottom Al electrode. In particular, an in situ O(2)-plasma oxidation process following Ni evaporation was developed to produce uniformly stable 10 nm Ni nanocrystals surrounded by a NiO tunneling barrier embedded in the small-molecule layer. They presented a memory margin (I(on)/I(off) ratio) of approximately 1 x 10(3), a retention time of more than 10(5) s, an endurance of more than 5 x 10(2) erase-and-program cycles, and multilevel cell (MLC) operation, being a terabit nonvolatile memory-cell. A vertically double-stacked 4F(2) multilevel nonvolatile memory cell was also developed, showing a memory margin of approximately 1 x 10(3) in both the top and bottom memory cells and eight-level cell operation.</P>

      • Atomic-scale etching of hexagonal boron nitride for device integration based on two-dimensional materials

        <P>Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) is considered an ideal template for electronics based on two-dimensional (2D) materials, owing to its unique properties as a dielectric film. Most studies involving h-BN and its application to electronics have focused on its synthesis using techniques such as chemical vapor deposition, the electrical analysis of its surface state, and the evaluation of its performance. Meanwhile, processing techniques including etching methods have not been widely studied despite their necessity for device fabrication processes. In this study, we propose the atomic-scale etching of h-BN for integration into devices based on 2D materials, using Ar plasma at room temperature. A controllable etching rate, less than 1 nm min<SUP>−1</SUP>, was achieved and the low reactivity of the Ar plasma enabled the atomic-scale etching of h-BN down to a monolayer in this top-down approach. Based on the h-BN etching technique for achieving electrical contact with the underlying molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) layer of an h-BN/MoS2 heterostructure, a top-gate MoS2 field-effect transistor (FET) with h-BN gate dielectric was fabricated and characterized by high electrical performance based on the on/off current ratio and carrier mobility.</P>
