      • 석청(Mad-honey) 복용 후 유발된 부정맥 1예

        석청에 포함된 grayanotoxin에 의해 독성 작용이 나올 수 있으며, 이러한 독성 작용은 일반적으로 24시간 이내 저절로 회복된다. 최근에 본 저자들은 석청 복용 후 발생한 심실빈맥을 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. 49세 남자가 호흡곤란으로 내원하였으며, 내원당시 분당 40회 정도의 동성 서맥이 관찰되었고, 수액을 투여하던 중 심실 빈맥이 발생하였다. 항부정맥제를 투여 후 정상 동율동으로 전환되었으며, 특별한 이상 없이 4일 후 퇴원하였다. Mad-honey intoxication caused by the consumption of honey producted from the nectar of rhododendrons. The grayanotoxins cause the intoxication. The toxic effects of mad-honey poisoning are rarely fatal and generally last for no more than 24 hours. We experienced one case, a 49 years-old man who presented with dyspnea after ingestion of mad-honey. He showed marked sinus bradycardia with < 40 beats per minute on admission. The cardiac rhythm was changed to ventricular tachycardia immediately. These features resolved completely in 24 hours with continuous infusion of amiodarone(600 mg per day) and fluids. We report the case of intoxication of mad-honey as a presentation of fatal cardiac arrhythmia.

      • Sheehan 증후군 발생한 Torsades de Pointes

        재발하는 심실 빈맥으로 내원한 환자에서 Sheehan 증후군을 진단하였고, 적절한 호르몬 보충 치료 후 심전도 이상이 정상으로 회복된 예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Torsades de Pointes is a form of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia that is associated with prolongation of QT intervals, characterized by QRS complexes of progressively changing ampulitude and cyclic length, giving the appearance of oscillations around the baseline. A 77 years-old woman was presented with hypotention and arrhythmia. Twenty four-hour ECG showed typical episodes of torsades de pointes with QT prolongation. This arrhythmia was controlled by isoproterenol and magnesium infusion, but it was not disappeared. She was diagnosed as Sheehan's syndrome by past history, anterior pituitary stimulation test and empty sella on CT scan. After hormone replacement treatment, Prolonged QT interval was normalized and polymorphic ventricular tachycardia has not recurred.         Identification of a sensitive urinary biomarker, selenium-binding protein 1, for early detection of acute kidney injury

        <P>Acute kidney injury (AKI) is associated with increased mortality rate in patients but clinically available biomarkers for disease detection are currently not available. Recently, a new biomarker, selenium-binding protein 1 (SBP1), was identified for detection of nephrotoxicity using proteomic analysis. The aim of this study was to assess the sensitivity of urinary SBP1 levels as an early detection of AKI using animal models such as cisplatin or ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). Sprague-Dawley rats were injected with cisplatin (6 mg/kg, once i.p.) and sacrificed at 1, 3, or 5 days after treatment. Ischemia was achieved by bilaterally occluding both kidneys with a microvascular clamp for 45 min and verified visually by a change in tissue color. After post-reperfusion, urine samples were collected at 9, 24, and 48 hr intervals. Urinary excretion of protein-based biomarkers was measured by Western blot analysis. In cisplatin-treated rats, mild histopathologic alterations were noted at day 1 which became severe at day 3. Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (SCr) levels were significantly increased at day 3. Levels of urinary excretion of SBP1, neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), and a tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) were markedly elevated at day 3 and 5 following drug treatment. In the vehicle-treated I/R group, serum levels of BUN and SCr and AST activity were significantly increased compared to sham. Urinary excretion of SBP1 and NGAL rose markedly following I/R. The urinary levels of SBP1, NGAL, TIMP-1, and KIM-1 proteins excreted by AKI patients and normal subjects were compared. Among these proteins, a marked rise in SBP1 was observed in urine of patients with AKI compared to normal subjects. Based upon receiver-operator curves (ROC), SBP1 displayed a higher area under the curve (AUC) scores than levels of SCr, BUN, total protein, and glucose. In particular, SBP1 protein was readily detected in small amounts of urine without purification. Data thus indicate that urinary excretion of SBP1 may be useful as a reliable biomarker for early diagnosis of AKI in patients.</P>

      • 실리카흄을 흔입한 고강도 콘크리트 개발

        콘크리트 구조물이 대형화됨에 따라 설계단면이 증대되어 상대적으로 많은 경제적 손실을 부담하게 된다. 따라서 단면을 감소시키면서도 소요의 하중에 안전한 구조물을 건설하기 위해서는 우선적으로 구조물 건설에 기초가 되는 고품질, 고내구성의 고강도 콘크리트 개발이 절실히 요구된다 본 연구에서는 일정 시멘트비 및 혼화재 비율하에서 소요의 워커빌리티가 확보되는 고강도 콘크리트를 시간과 온도의 변화에 따라 증기 양생하여, 압축, 인장, 휨강도 뿐만 아니라 파괴특성을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 시료 제작시 시멘트 입자 사이의 공극 및 불연속 영역을 충전하여 고밀도화하기 위한 콘크리트용 혼화재로 시멘트 비표면적이 상당히 작은 초미립 분말인 실리카흄을 이용하였다. 또한 AE감수제 및 고성능 유동화제를 사용하여 혼화재의 첨가에 의하여 발생될 수 있는 워커빌리티의 감소를 방지하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 일정 양생 지속 시간하에서 온도의 증가에 따라 콘크리트의 압축, 인장 및 휨강도가 전반적으로 증가하였다. 동일하게 일정 온도하에서 양생 지속시간이 커짐에 따라 강도들이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 상대적으로 높은 온도와 긴 지속 양생 조건하에서 파괴에 대한 저항력이 크게 나타났다. The compressible, tensible, and flexibleresistance of the high strength concrete is analyzed by the experimentation in the present study. For the test, we cure several samples with the silica fume as a mixture being become dense the spaces between the particle of cement under the variation of both the temperature and the curing-interval. Then, the superplasticizer and the ezcon are also used to satisfy the required workability for construction. The compressible, tensible, and flexible resistances to a stress are increased as increasing the temperature and the time interval for the curing. Therefore it is concluded that the overal fractural and mechanical properties is improved by mixing the silica fume into the cement.

      • 편모가족의 스트레스와 우울

        The purposes of this article were to find the general trends of single mothers and their children's stress and depression, to estimate the correlation among variables, and to analyze the effects of related variables and stress influencing depression. The data were analyzed from the 566 single mothers and their children living in Kwang-ju. The major findings were as follows; 1. Scores of single mothers' and their children's stress were lower than median. But scores of single mothers' depression were higher than median. Single mothers and their children's stress and depression were not significant in widowed and divorced. 2. Single mothers' and children's stress were related to depression. Single mothers' stress and depression were related to their children's. 3. Single mothers' depression were influenced by mother's age, years of spouse-loss, family relation stress, economic stress, job-family conflict and interpersonal stress. Children's depression were influenced by mother's education, years of father-loss, friend relation satisfaction, numbers of friend, family relation stress, school-family stress and interpersonal stress.

      • 미혼 남녀의 배우자 선택 조건 및 관련 요인 분석

        The purposes of this article are to find the general trends of unmarried men and women's mate selection conditions, to estimate the differences according to related variables and to analyze the effects of significant variables influencing on mate selection. The samples were selected from the unmarried 164 men and 235 women living in Kwang-ju. The major findings are as follows; 1. All scores of mate selection conditions were higher than medium. Especially in desirable spouse conditions, women's were higher than men's. Move valued spouse conditions were women's apperance, health, family background in men and all conditions in women. Women desired more similar and interactional conditions than men. 2. External and internal conditions were significantly different from age, work in men and age, father's and mother's age in women. Homogeneous and interactional conditions were significantly different from sex role attitude, premarital sexual experience in men and age, education, work, father's age, love necessity of marriage, sex role attitude, premarital sexual experience in women. 3. External and internal conditions were influenced by work in men and mother's and father's age in women. Homogeneous conditions were influenced by premarital sexual experience, necessity of marriage in men and age, premarital sexual experi-ence, necessity of marriage in women. Interactional conditions were influenced by sex role attitude, father's age in men and sex role attitude, education, work in women.

      • 인공모래 부산물 재활용 방안

        인공모래 제조시 부산물로 발생하는 석분슬러지에 의한 환경문제와 폐기되는 자원의 활용문제를 해결하기 위하여 석분슬러지와 점토 및 폐유리분말을 이용하여 900∼1,100℃로 소성하여 세라믹스 건자재를 제조하였다. 석분 슬러지는 평균입경 16.3㎛, 비표면적 0.42㎡/g, 화학조성은 CaO 46.43wt%, SiO_2, MgO 와 Al_2O_3가 7.83 wt% , 6.17 wt% 및 3.13 wt%이며, 주결정상은 calcite (CaCO_3)와 dolomite (CaMg(CO_3)_2)로서 약 800℃에서 CaCO_3나 CaMg(CO_3)_2의 열분해에 의한 32.52wt% 의 강열감량을 나타내었다. 석분슬러지와 점토를 이용한 시편(No. 1, 4, 7, 10 및 13)은 점토의 첨가량과 소성온도가 증가함에 따라 시편의 부피비중 및 압축강도는 증가하였으나 기공률과 흡수율은 감소하여 No. 1, 4, 및 7 시편은 부피비중 1.78∼1.98, 기공률 6.4∼12.5%, 흡수율 10.3∼12.7%, 압축강도 264∼370kgf/㎠을 나타내었다. 폐유리분말을 첨가한 시편(No. 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 및 12)의 부피비중과 압축강도는 1.91∼2.63 및 213∼895kgf/㎠로서 폐유리분말의 첨가가 시편의 소결성과 압축강도의 향상에 기여하여 세라믹스 건자재로 사용이 가능하였다. The utilization of waste stone powder sludge produced secondarily from artificial sand plants of Ssangyoung resource development (Co.) and general waste, as was classified, became very important to solve the environmental problem and waste materials recycle. In the chemical composition of stone powder sludge, the amount of CaO was 46.43wt%, SiO_2, MgO and Al_2O_3 were 7.83 wt% 6.17 wt% and 3.13 wt%, respectively. The mean average particle size was 16.3㎛ and specific surface area was 0.42㎡/g. Main crystal phases were calcite (CaCO_3) and dolomite (CaMg(CO_3)_2) and ignition loss was 32.52wt% because of decomposition of CaCO_3 or CaMg(CO_3)_2. Specimens were fabricated by mixing the waste stone powder sludge, low-grade clay, waste glass powder and sintering at 900∼1,100℃ for 2 hours. The density and compressive strength of specimen increased with increasing the sintering temperature and the amount of clay. The specimen showed the bulk density of 1.78∼1.98, porosity of 6.4∼12.5%, water absorption 10.3∼12.7% and compressive strength of 264∼370 kgf/㎠. Those of the specimen heated at 1,050℃ increased with increasing the added amount of waste glass powder, bulk density was 1.91∼2.63 and compressive strength was 213∼895 kgf/㎠. Therefore, the waste stone powder sludge can be used as a constructional materials.

        Filler의 양에 따른 치면열구전색재의 물리적 성질에 관한 연구

        Pit and fissure sealants, widely used in preventive dentistry contains Bis-GMA, and due to least amount of filler or not at all, abrasion resistance, strength, and coefficiency of thermal expansion vary markedly with tooth structure in addition to high polymerization shrinkage. For those reasons, adding filler such as direct filling resin can improve some of the shortcoming mentioned above. However, addition of filler reduces fluidity, therefore resulting in less penetration into pits and fissures and reducing the value of pit and fissure sealants. Therefore, the author investigated an appropriate filler content which enhances the abrasion resistance and other properties while maintaining the flow of pit and fissure sealants, on increasing filler content of both base and catalyst by 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5%(wt%) and of base only by 8.4wt% which is maximum addition in manufacturing processes. Penetration coefficiency, diametral tensile strength, abrasion resistance, water absorption, and solubility tests were tested. As a results, 1. Penetration coefficiency was inversely proportional to filler content. 2. Diametral tensile strength, water absorption, and solubility were not significantly affected by filler content. 3. Abrasion resistance was proportional to filler content. 4. By adding 8.4 wt% of filler to base only, the material with overall filler content of 4.2wt% displayed satisfactory abrasion resistance and fluidity.
