        감마선과 훈증처리가 건고추의 저장 중 이화학적 특성에 미치는 영향

        In order to study the quarantine and sanitization methods for dried red pepper, comparative effects of commercial fumigation (methyl bromide/MeBr, phosphine gas/PH₃) and gamma irradiation (5, 10 kGy) were investigated in terms of its physicochemical properties. There were no noticeable chances in pH and soluble solids among the untreated control, irradiated and fumigated samples soon after treatments, but some decrease was found in stored samples (especially soluble solid in fumigated samples) for 8 months under room temperature. Total sugar content was influenced by storage time rather than both treatments. Immediately after treatments, reducing sugar content was significantly reduced in the samples including pericarp when exposed to fumigants (p〈0.05), while an apparent decrease was observed in the stored samples including seeds with negligible differences among treatment groups. The electron donating ability (EDA) of the extracts was high in the order of pericarp, whole pepper, powdered pepper and seeds, which was reduced during storage for 8 months particularly in the samples containing seeds. The EDA of irradiated samples during storage was equal to that of the control sample, whereas that of fumigated samples was relatively low (p〈0.05).

        五加皮의 造血 및 免疫調節效果에 대한 實驗的 硏究

        In order to investigate the reinforcemental Effects of Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex about immunity and hematogenic action. The various immune responses were studied. The results were obtained as follows: 1. Positive cell was significantly increased at the 0.25 d r n P degree of density in the effect of CD4 about the spleen cell. 2. In the effect of IgG positive cell was significantly increased as comrared with the data of control only at the 0.25 mg/ml degree of density. 3. In the effect of Mac-1 positive cell was significantly increased in all treated degree of density. 4. In result of observing the change of WBC after Cyclophosphamide-processing the number of WBC was significantly increased in treated Group. 5. Measurement of RT-PCR in Hematopoietic stem cell TPO PCR products was increased as compared with medium at the 1 ㎛/ml degree of density. 6. In reinforcemental effect about Stem cell factor SCF PCR product was increased as compared with medium at the low degree of density. 7. In reinforcemental effect about IL-3 PCR product was increased as compared with medium at the low degree of density. 8. In reinforcemental effect about IL-6 PCR product was significantly increased as compared with all treated group. 9. Assay about positive cell in the spleen cell, the positive cell was significantly increased in CD4, CD19. 10. Created amount NO was treated group significantly increased all degree of density. 11. In promotional dissolution-effect, treated group was increased one and half times or twice all degree of density as compared with negative control. According to the above results, Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex increase coherence with T-cell by dint of activating CD of T-cell, presentate an antigen, activate IL-3, IL-6 which stimulate B-cell mading an antibody, activate IFN- y which appeal anti-viral activity by dint of activating macrophage, activate IgG which being made in B-cell neutralize Virus directly, increase immunity by means of promoting dissolution of Spleen cell which involve immune cell and strengthen hematogenic action by dint of activating TPO, SCF. Although Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex was used in retrogressional joint disease of deficiency syndrome by reinforcing Liver and Kidney, strengthening bones and sinews, because IFN- 7 which appeal anti-viral activity and IL-6 which almost appear in arthritis increased significantly, in future we should make an effort in looking into action of Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex about common cold by infection and arthritis of excess syndrome.

        Lupus erythematous panniculitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of subcutaneous fat that occurs in 2-3% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Lupus erythematous panniculitis typically presents with firm, indurated subcutaneous nodules or plaques commonly developed in proximal extremities, trunks, head and neck. Face, breast and upper extremities involvement with lupus erythematous panniculitis has been infrequently reported. We report a case of lupus erythematous panniculitis developed in a 27-year-old female confirmed by histologic features and laboratory findings.

        서울지역에서의 VOCs 오염원 기여도 추정에 관한 연구

        A field study was conducted during the summer time of 2002 to determine compositions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from vehicles and to develop source emission profiles that is applied to CMB model to estimate the source contribution of certain area. Source emission profile is widely used for the estimation of source contribution by the chemical mass balance model and have to be developed applicable fur the large1 area of estimation. This study was aimed to develop source emission profile and estimation of source contribution of VOCs after application of the chemical mass balance (CMB) receptor model. After considering the emission inventory and other research results for the VOCs in Seoul, Korea, the sources like vehicle emission(tunnel), gas station (gasoline, diesel), solvent usage (painting operation, dry cleaning, graphic att), and gas fuels were selected for the major VOCs sources. Furthermore, ambient air samples were simultanceusly collected from 09:00 to 11:00 for four days at eight different official air quality monitoring sites as receptors in Seoul during summer of 2001. Source samples were collected by canisters, and then about seventy volatile organic compounds were analyzed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC/FID). Based on both the developed source profiles and the database of the receptors, CMB model was intensively applied to estimate mass contribution of VOCs sources. Examining the source profile from the vehicle, the portion of alkanes of VOCs was highest, and then the portion of aromatics such toluene, m/p-xylene were followed In case of gas fuel, they have their own components: the content of butane. propane. ethane was higher than any other component according tn the fuel usage. The average of the source apportionment on VOCs for 8 sites showed that the major sources were vehicle emission and gas fuels. me vehicle emission source was revealed as having the highest contribution with an average of 49.6% and followed by solvent with 21.3%, gas fuel with 16.1%, gasoline with 13.1%.

      • ZnO 바리스터의 미세구조에 미치는 Al₂O₃의 영향

        The electrical properties of ZnO varistor depend on characteristics of ZnO grain and grain boundary. Here we investigated how additive compositions and processing variables affected the electrical and the physical properties of these ZnO varistors. Non-ohmic characteristic and other properties of ZnO varistor are related to their microstructure. Therefore, understanding and controlling the microstructure are essential for the improvement of the properties of ZnO varistor. ZnO varistors examined in this study had ZnO-Bi₂O₃-Sb₂O₃-Co₂O₃-NiO-MnO₂-Cr₂O₃basic composition and Al₂O₃addition varying from 0.005wt% to 5.0wt%. Microstructure development, phase changes and electrical properties of the sintered specimens were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with an energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and V-I meter. The average size of ZnO grain was decreased from about 7μm to 2.4μm with increasing Al₂O₃addition. The Al₂O₃reacted with the ZnO to from ZnAl₂O₄spinel, which seemed to reduce the rate of ZnO grain growth. The spinel particles, were formed both along the grain boundaries and within the ZnO grain. The Bi-rich phase was located at the triple (or multiple) point of the ZnO grains. In the distribution of the dopant oxides (Sb₂O₃, Co₂O₃, MnO₂, Cr₂O₃, NiO, Al₂O₃), Co, Mn and Ni were distributed uniformly throughout the specimen. The distribution of Sb and Cr coincided with small spinel particles located at the grain boundaries, which showed significant dissolution of Cr in the spinel phase. Al was mainly located at the intergranular phase and triple point. Highest nonlinear exponent was obtained for ZnO varistor specimens containing 0.005wt% Al₂O₃.

        손상정도계수와 외상치를 이용한 외상환자의 분석

        Trauma is one of the most common causes of death. Recently, injury severity score(ISS) is widely used to evaluate and classify the patients with multiple injury. Trauma score(TS) was developed as a means of providing rapid accurate assessment of the injured patient. Authors conducted a review of trauma patients who visited the emergency department of YongDong Severance Hospital from September 1992 to August 1993. ISS and TS were collected from comprehensive initial evaluation. The results were as follows : 1) The subjects were 10.2%(2,666 patients) of total 26,202 emergency patients. 2) Male to female ratio was 2.1 : 1. The age distribution was highest under 10 year(24.9%). The mean ISS was 3.5, and the mean ISS increased with ago. 3. Analysis of injury mechanism showed high incidence of traffic accident(35.3%), blunt trauma 25.7%, fall 24.2%, stabbing 10.7%, and others 4.3% in order. 4. The 8.0% of patients were admitted after initial management and their mean Iss was 12.6 mean TS was 15.5. 5. Among admitted traffic accident patients, the mean ISS of passenger T.A., pedestrian T.A. and driver T.A. were 19.0 ±9.9, 14.4 ±10.6, and 11.3 ±7.7 respectively. 6. Among 42 mortality cases, 25 patients were D.O.A. and 17 were expired. The mean ISS of D.O.A. Patients was 30.0; the mean Iss and mean Iss and mean TS of expired patients were 28.3 and 11.8 respectively. 7. The most common cause of death was head trauma(66.7%). 8. By comparing the ISS and TS of admitted and expired patients, mortality occurred above 16 point of ISS. The mortality increased with increasing ISS, but it was influenced by the trauma site and the severity of the particular injury site. Mortality also occurred below 15 point of TS, the mortality increased inversely with TS, and the mortality with TS, and the mortality was high below 13 point (above 40%).

        This Study is an attempt to classify and analyze the skills of 483 high school student players and 210 college student players. The one has 1070 Pans(matches), the other has 424 pans(matches). They take part in four all-Korea Ssireum Team Competition in 1987. The results are as follows; 1. High School Student Players. 1) The results of analyzing high school Ssireum Players' Skills show that they make good use of their Waist Skill(50.65%), Leg Skill(19.25%), Nixture Skill(17.76%), Counterattack Skill(6.17%), and Hand Skill(5.4%). 2) The analysis an actual state of their skills are as follows; There are Okeum-Dangigi(44.83%) in Hand Skill, An-Dari(43.20%) in Leg Skill, Jabchaegi(35.06%) in Waist Skill, Nileochigi(89.01%) in Nixture Okill, Battari-Deachgi(53.85%) in Counterattack Skill, and so on. 2. College Student Players. 1) The results of classifying college student Players' skills show that they make good use of the Waist Skill(51.65%), Leg Skill(21.25%), Nixture Skill(16.27%), Hand Skill(4.48%), Other Skill(3.30%), Counterattack Skill(3.07%), and so on. Especially, they make freqently use of their Waist Skill. 2) The analysis an actual state of their skills reveal that they put to use of DweMureubchigi(42.11%) in Hand Skill, AnDari(43.33%) in Leg Skill, Jabchaegi(42.93%) in Waist Skill, Mileachigi(76.81%) in Mixture Skill, Battari Dechigi(69.23%) in Counterattack Skill, and so on. 3. When they take part in in a Ssireum Game, they choose the skill which follows their Physical Condition, Physical Strength, and Game Posture.

      • 사람 적혈구 막에 있어서 Carnitine acyltransferase 효소에 관한 연구

        사람 적혈구막에서 palmitoyl carnitine을 생성하는 효소계의 존재를 확인하였는데 이 효소계에 의해 palmitoyl coenzyme A와 DL-Carnitine(methyl-14C)으로부터 palmitoyl carnitine-14C이 생합성됨을 고찰하였고, 한편 이 효소계에 의해 화학적으로 합성한 palmitoyl-14C-carnitine이 palmitic acid-14C과 carnitine으로 가수분해됨을 확인하였다. 이 효소계에 의해서나 또는 화학적 방법에 의해 만들어진 palmitoyl carnitine은 적혈구막을 용해하며 이때 막에 부착된 효소계인 Adenosine Triphosphatase나 Glucose-6-phosphatase등이 활성화됨을 발견하였다. An enzyme system in human erythrocyte membrane was found to catalyze the formation of palmitoyl carnitine-14C from palmitoyl coenzyme A and carnitine-(methyl-14C). It was also confirmed that the same enzyme acts on the hydrolysis of palmitoyl-14C-carnitine into palmitic acid-14C and carnitine. Palmitoyl carnitine formed from this enzyme system or other chemical method solubilized the erythrocyte membrane and stimulated significantly the membrane bound enzymes, such as Adeno-sine Triphosphatase (ATPase) and Glucose-6-phosphatase (G-6-Pase) tried.

        열산화 처리에 따른 Ti-Ag 합금의 표면 특성

        Thermally oxidized Ti-Ag alloys, cp-Ti and Ti-A14V was investigated to find the proper heat treatment temperature and heat treatment duration for dental application. Surface microtopology by SEM showed oxide particles formed on all specimens treated at 600℃ and coarse, fully-crystallized lumps on specimens treated at 800℃. In macroscopic roughness measurement, Ra ranged from 0.083 to 0.29 }μm resulting from scratching by #600 emery paper; for non-contact method, from 0.34 to 2.84 nm resulting from the contour by oxide crystals on and between the ridges. The thicknesses of oxide layers were presumed to range from 100 to 250, 250 to 700, and over 1700 A for specimens treated at 400, 600, and 800℃, respectively. Oxide layers separated from the matrices on the cross sections of specimens atmosphere cooled after heat-treated at 800℃, which was not observed on those treated at 600℃. Oxidation behaviors of Ti-Ag alloys were observed to be similar to those of cp-Ti specimens by XRD analyses: TiO2 growth on surfaces followed by coexistence with Ti203's as treatment temperature increased; TiO growth followed by spread of both rutiles and Ti203's with temperature increase on specimens treated for 4 hours. Alumina was detected on Ti6A14V specimens, where microgaps between layers of alumina and titania considerably reduced the adhesive force of tinania layers on matrices. Conclusively, heat treatment temperature was more significant than treatment duration and the most desirable temperature was determined to be 600℃. (Received January 19, 2004)

        감마선 조사가 조미오징어의 저장 중 품질특성에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the changes in the quality of gamma-irradiated seasoned cuttle during storage. Seasoned cuttle packed in PVC film (0.06 mm) was stored at 15±1℃ for 6 months after treatment with doses of 0 to 7 kGy. Microbial populations of seasoned cuttle were 1.6×10^5 CFU/g in total aerobic bacteria, 10⁴~10^5 CFU/g in yeasts & molds, and negative in coliforms, which were effectively reduced by 3 kGy or higher up to the undetectable level(〈20 CFU/g). The pH and moisture content of the samples were not changed with irradiation, but moisture was some decreased during storage. The instrumental color (especially Hunter b value), pigments (lipophilic & hydrophilic) and TBA value of the samples increased with storage time as well as irradiation dose more than 3 kGy. The influence of storage condition, however, were more significant. Irradiation did not induce any changes in volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) and trimethylamine (TMA) contents, thereby maintaining their contents lower than those of the non-irradiated samples during storage by reducing the microbial load.
