      • 풍수경관요소 선정과 그의 평가에 의한 계량화 분석 - 논산군 고정리 일대 광산김씨의 김호 묘역, 김장생 묘역을 중심으로 -

        본 논문은 풍수가가 택지를 평가함에 있어서 풍수경관요소를 선정하고 이를 점수화하여 보다 객관적인 지표로 보여주는 사례를 제시하여 이를 선례로 삼고 부동산의 감정평가서와 같이 풍수의 신뢰도를 높이는데 기여하고자 한다. 그 사례로 이중환의 택리지, 박시익, 옥한석, 지종학, 박재락이 제시한 경관요소들을 용, 혈, 사, 수, 향에 입각하여 비교분석해 보았으며, 실제 사례에는 지종학과 박재락의 풍수계량화지표를 활용하였다. 두 연구자의 지표를 비교하면, 지종학은 주산의 형태와 혈 뒤까지의 용의 움직임에 많은 배점을 부여하였고 혈장에 있어서 당판이 바르고 다른 요소가 좋다면 혈은 자연스럽게 이루어지는 것으로 판단해서 혈장에 대한 자세한 언급이 없는 반면에 박재락은 사신사와 혈장을 중요시 했고 경제공간과 비보에 대한 요소도 적용했다. 앞으로도 풍수가들은 풍수경관요소를 더욱 분석하여 계량화하는데 있어서 표준을 제시할 수 있도록 더 많은 노력이 필요하다고 하겠다. This study was made to enhance the reliability of Pungsu like appraisal reports on the real estate, by suggesting the examples a precedent & by providing the examples showing more objective indexes through scoring & selecting Pungsu scenery elements in Pungsu experts’ appreciating housing sites. Into the case of it, we compared and analyzed the scenery elements suggested by Choong Hwan Lee’s Taek Ri Ji, Si Ik Park, Han Suk Ock, Jong Hak Ji, Jae Rak Park, based on Yong(Dragon), Hyeoul(Acupuncture Point), Sa(Mountain of four direction) , Su(water), Hyang(Direction), and in the actual examples, we utilized Pungsu metrical indexes by Ji Jong Hak and Jae Ryak Park. If comparing Jong Hak Ji’s Pungsu metrical Indexes with Jae Rak Park’s, Jong Hak Ji endowed many scores to the formation of the main mountain & the movement of Yong behind Hyeoul, In terms of Hyeoul Jang, if Dang Pan is right and other elements are good, he thought that Hyeoul is naturally formed, not mentioning Hyeouljang in detail. Whereas Jae Ryak Park considered Sasinsa & Hyeouljang important, at the same time, applied the elements regarding economic space & Bibo. In the future, experts of Pungsu, have to make many efforts to provide the standards in quantifying by analyzing Pungsu scenery elements in more detailed manner.

      • 고등학교 학생들의 뇌 선호도에 따른 영어 어휘 학습 전략의 상관관계에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between brainpreference and vocabulary learning strategies of 137 Korean high school students who are the first graders in vocational and academic high school. Two sets of survey questionnaires were used for this study: A taxonomyof vocabulary learning strategies based on Park``s(2001) survey, developed by Schmitt(1997), and Right/left brain dominance test developed by Torrance(1987). The major results of this study are as follow. First, the brain dominance test suggest that most of high school students were bi-hemispheric dominance. Second, the right-hemispheric oriented students were more using social strategies in discovery strategies than others. In terms of consolidation strategies, social strategies were more used by bi-hemispheric, and quite right hemispheric dominance students. Third, the female students in all the brain types tended to use more vocabulary learning strategies than male students. In addition, vocational school students were shown to use less vocabulary learning strategies than academic school students. Fourth, the right-brian oriented students in the vocational school used a wider range of social strategies in discovery strategies. For academic school students, no favored vocabulary learning strategies were found in terms of either brian preferences or gender difference. This study suggests that teachers need to consider students vocabulary learning style and strategies based on different brain preferences, gender difference, and the type of school in order to assiststudents`` efforts to increase their vocabulary knowledge. Teachers also need to encourage their students to know various types of vocabulary learning strategies, trying to develop effective vocabulary learning strategies.

      • Development of PSD Profile and Standard Test Course for Lab-Based Simulation of Carton Clamp Truck Handling

        Palletless handling by clamp truck is gradually expanding, and the need for simulation of clamp truck handling is increasing. In this study, the composite PSD profiles for a test course proposed by Park et al.(2017) and the test courses of ASTM D6055 and ISTA 3B for a lab-based simulation of clamp truck were developed, and the effects of the payload, the traveling speed, and the tire type on the vibration level of the main body and the attachment of clamp truck were analyzed. A heavy refrigerator package, where clamp trucks are mostly used for, was selected as the target heavyweight corrugated package (HCP). Both the vibration intensity of the main body and the attachment of the clamp truck were affected by payload and traveling speed. However, the difference in vibration level according to the tire type was apparent in the test course with many obstacles. The vibration intensity of a test course proposed by Park et al.(2017) was greater than that of ASTM D6055 and significantly lower than that of ISTA 3B.

        다양한 비죽상경화 관상동맥 질환의 CT 영상 소견

        급성 관동맥 증후군(acute coronary syndrome)은 대부분 죽상경화 관상동맥 질환(atherosclerotic coronary artery disease)에 의해 발생하지만, 비죽상경화 관상동맥 질환에서도 발생할 수 있다. 고식적 관상동맥 혈관조영술은 동맥 내강의 협착이나 확장 등의 형상에 대한정보만을 제공하고, 동맥경화반이나 동맥벽에 대한 평가가 어려워 관상동맥 이상의 원인 질환의 진단에 낮은 특이도를 보인다. 반면, 관상동맥 전산화단층촬영 혈관조영술은 혈관경화반의 특징, 혈관벽의 조영증강뿐 아니라 연접한 대동맥이나 폐동맥의 변화 등도 함께 관찰할수 있어, 비죽상경화 관상상동맥질환의 진단 및 다양한 원인 감별에 도움이 된다. 따라서 이종설에서는 다양한 비죽상경화 관상동맥 질환들을 소개하고, 이의 병태생리 및 대표적인 관상동맥 전산화단층촬영 혈관조영술의 영상 소견에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

        Lab-based Simulation of Carton Clamp Truck Handling - Preliminary FEA and Analysis of Handling Test Courses

        Carton clamp truck is widely perceived as the high-efficient handling equipment of factory premises and warehouse by its capability of palletless handling. Therefore, the significance of a lab-based handling simulation is becoming higher with the growth of clamp truck usage. In this study, preliminary FEA and design of handling test courses for the lab-based simulation of carton clamp truck handling were performed, and the PSD analyses were performed for the modified one for the test course proposed by Park et al. (2017) as well as ASTM D 6055 and ISTA 3B standards. For the vibration in all directions, the vibration energy intensity analyzed by ISTA 3B standard showed higher than that by the other two cases. A FEA was performed for the handling operation of the sudden stop of the clamps after lifting the target HCP (heavyweight refrigerator corrugated package, w=180 kgf) up to the specified height. The slip distance between the clamp arm and the target HCP was 0.85 mm. The simulation result of 0.85 mm was 3.7 times lower than the experimental result (3.2 mm) obtained by Park et al. (2017), and it was estimated that the deviation comes from both the experimental error by weight imbalance of target HCP, and excessive simplification during the FE modelling of target HCP.

      • DNA methylation-based biomarkers of cognitive aging among community-dwelling older adults

        Aim(s): This study aims to identify biomarkers for age-related cognitive decline by examining the DNA methylation differences between normal cognitive aging (NCA) and successful cognitive aging (SCA) groups among community-dwelling older adults. Method(s): Demographic and neuropsychological data and peripheral blood samples were obtained from the Korean Frailty and Aging Cohort Study (KFACS). The subjects were grouped into two categories―NCA and SCA. The subjects whose cognitive function test scores lay above the 50th percentile of Korean older adults score were grouped as SCA. The DNA methylation microarray using Illumina Infinium Methylation EPIC BeadChip was performed to identify the differentially methylated genes as potential DNA methylation-based blood biomarkers. The differences between NCA and SCA groups were tested using the X2 test, t-test, and Mann-whitey U test using SPSS software 25.0. Result(s): Fourteen participants among baseline data from the KFACS were part of SCA group. Further, 15 age-, gender-, and education-matched participants who scored below the 50th percentile of cognitive function tests were selected to be the control group. We found 34 hypermethylated and 45 hypomethylated CpG sites between the groups. Of the 79 CpG sites, 8 were located in the promoter region, which is a vital regulatory region for gene expression. The differentially methylated genes in the promoter region were CEND1, GNAT2, SNORD95, IL2, LOC101060542, MIR885, LOC255167, and HK2. Conclusion(s): We identified eight genes as potential biomarkers for cognitive aging in community-dwelling older adults. The findings of this study suggest that these genes may play an important role as a diagnostic and therapeutic target to prevent or control cognitive aging from an early stage. However, large longitudinal studies are needed to validate these findings. a

        Using the Hierarchical Linear Model to Forecast Movie Box-Office Performance: The Effect of Online Word of Mouth

        Forecasting daily box-office performance is critical for planning the distribution of marketing resources, and by extension, maximizing profits. For certain movies, the number of viewers increases rapidly at the beginning of their theatrical run, and the increments slow down later. Other movies are not popular in the beginning, but the audience sizes grow rapidly afterward. Thus, the audience attendance of movies grow in different trajectories, which are influenced by various factors including marketing budget, distributors, directors, actors, and word of mouth. In this paper, we propose a method for predicting the daily performance trajectory of running movies based on the hierarchical linear model. More specifically, we focus on the effect of online word of mouth on the shape of the growth curves. We fitted the mean trajectory of the cumulative audience size as a cubic function of time, and allowed the intercept and slope to vary movie-to-movie. Moreover, we fitted the linear slope with a function of online word of mouth predictors to help determine the shape of the trajectories. Finally, we provide performance predictions for individual movies.

      • A novel quasi-solid state dye-sensitized solar cell fabricated using a multifunctional network polymer membrane electrolyte

        <P>A series of liquid junction dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) was fabricated based on polymer membrane-encapsulated dye-sensitized TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles, prepared using a surface-induced cross-linking polymerization reaction, to investigate the dependence of the solar cell performance on the encapsulating membrane layer thickness. The ion conductivity decreased as the membrane thickness increased; however, the long term-stability of the devices improved with increasing membrane thickness. Nanoparticles encapsulated in a thick membrane (<I>ca.</I> 37 nm), obtained using a 90 min polymerization time, exhibited excellent pore filling among TiO<SUB>2</SUB> particles. This nanoparticle layer was used to fabricate a thin-layered, quasi-solid state DSC. The thick membrane prevented short-circuit paths from forming between the counter and the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> electrode, thereby reducing the minimum necessary electrode separation distance. The quasi-solid state DSC yielded a high power conversion efficiency (7.6 → 8.1%) and excellent stability during heating at 65 °C over 30 days. These performance characteristics were superior to those obtained from a conventional DSC (7.5 → 3.5%) prepared using a TiO<SUB>2</SUB> active layer with the same thickness. The reduced electrode separation distance shortened the charge transport pathways, which compensated for the reduced ion conductivity in the polymer gel electrolyte.         Satellite-based crop coefficient and evapotranspiration using surface soil moisture and vegetation indices in Northeast Asia

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Accurate estimation of the crop coefficient (K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB>) is crucial for estimating actual crop evapotranspiration (ET<SUB> <I>a</I> </SUB>) and planning appropriate irrigation management for efficient crop yield. In this study, satellite-based K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> values were estimated at cropland and mixed forest sites based on the dual crop coefficient approach using merged soil moisture from the European Space Agency as an indicator of evaporation from soil, as well as the Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the Leaf Area Index (LAI) to explain the effect of transpiration from plants. Comparison of the seasonal patterns and Pearson's correlation coefficient (<I>r</I>) of NDVI, LAI, and surface soil moisture with K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> indicated that it was reasonable to use the three variables as independent variables to estimate K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB>. Based on these results, the satellite-based K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> estimated using NDVI, LAI, and soil moisture (Case 1) was compared with the K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> calculated from NDVI and LAI (Case 2) and the flux towers at the significance level of 0.05. The statistical results confirmed that the K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> estimated from Case 1 (Bias: −0.012 to 0.053, RMSE: 0.144 to 0.172, and r: 0.463 to 0.800) showed better agreement with the observed K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> than that estimated from Case 2 (Bias: −0.058 to 0.088, RMSE: 0.146 to 0.221, and r: 0.434 to 0.788). Among the three variables, soil moisture had the greatest impact on the rice paddy, while the NDVI showed the highest influence on the mixed forest. Based on these results, K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> estimated from Case 1 was multiplied by MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)-based potential crop evapotranspiration and compared with the latent heat flux from flux towers. ET<SUB> <I>a</I> </SUB> showed reasonable bias (cropland: −0.224 to 1.364, mixed forest: 0.711 to 1.055), RMSE (cropland: 1.952 to 2.126, mixed forest: 1.085 to 1.878) and r (cropland: 0.529 to 0.832, mixed forest: 0.850 to 0.909) at all of the study sites. After validation of the satellite-based K<SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB> approach under various vegetation types and climate conditions, this approach can be employed not only for developing adequate water and agricultural management plans, but also for analyzing and predicting crop yield productivity and agricultural drought.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Satellite-based crop coefficient(K<SUB>c</SUB>) and evapotranspiration (ET) were estimated. </LI> <LI> Two vegetation indices(VI) and soil moisture(SM) were reasonable for predicting K<SUB>c</SUB>. </LI> <LI> SM and two VIs showed the highest impact on K<SUB>c</SUB> in paddy and mixed forest, respectively. </LI> <LI> Satellite-based K<SUB>c</SUB> showed good correspondence with flux tower based K<SUB>c</SUB>. </LI> <LI> Actual ET from satellite-based K<SUB>c</SUB> was similar to that observed from the flux tower. </LI> </UL> </P>
