      • 화자 식별과 얼굴 인식을 이용한 대규모 보안 시스템

        본 논문에서는 화자 식별과 얼굴 인식을 이용하여 대규모 보안 시스템을 개발하였다. 인식 에러를 줄이기 위해 전 처리 화자 식별기로 DHMM(Discrete hidden Markov Model)을 사용하였고, 후 처리기에서는 얼굴 인식을 위해 신경망을 사용하였다. Visual C++MFC을 사용하여 Sound Card와 Digital camera를 제어하였다. 그리고 본 논문에서 개발한 프로그램을 사용하여 실시간으로 실험하였다. 본 논문에서 인식에 사용한 특징 벡터로는 Filter bank energy, LSF와 Cepstrum coeffient이고, 얼굴 인식의 대표 벡터는 2차원 Filter bank energy를 사용하였다. 실험에서 사용된 사람은 학교에서 무작위로 83명을 선택하였다. Test를 위해 2049개의 음성 데이터와 365개의 얼굴 이미지를 사용하였다. 복합 모델로 구성한 본 시스템은 등록화자에 대해 98.8%의 Access rate와 비 등록화자의 99.82%의 deny rate을 나타내었다. In this paper, we developed the large scale security system using speaker identification and face recognition. In order to reduce the recognition error we used DHMM(Discrete Hidden Markov Model) in speaker identification for pre-processor and neural network in face recognition for post-processor. To test the on-line performance of total system we directly controlled the sound card and the digital camera in the environment of Visual C++MFC. And we developed the program to test the performance of the system in real time. We used filter bank energies, LSF and cepstrum coefficients as the feature vectors of speech, and the 2-dimensional filter bank energies extracted in the range of the representative feature on face. In experiments, we randomly selected 83 persons in school, and then chosen 10 persons as an enrolled person and 73 persons as a non-enrolled person. So we tested 2049 speech data and 365 image data. It turned out that the hybrid system would have 98.8% access rates for the enrolled persons and 99.82% deny rates for the non-enrolled persons.

        Background: Perirectal abscess could be caused by various causes such as intraabdominal disease or surgical complication. Without an early diagnosis and appropriate treatment, the mortality of this disease could be increased. Case Report: An 36-year-old man was transfered our hospital for the evaluation of the abdominal pain, fever, and yellowish discharge through the drain tube after laparoscopic appendectomy. Computed tomography(CT) of abdomen demonstrated the abscess at rectovesical fossa (3x4cm) and perirectal abscess was showed by endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS). EUS guided fi ne needle aspiration (FNA) was done and brownish pus was aspirated for about 18cc. And then, the stent(pig tail, 5cm, 7Fr) insertion was taken for abscess drainage. After 3days, we removed stent by endoscopic forcep due to stent migration through anus. CT of Abdomen was checked again and demonstrated that the size of abscess was decreased. Conclusion: We present here a case of perirectal abscess treated with EUS guided FNA and transrectal stent drainage.

        Prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis by PCR in Men Attending a Primary Care Urology Clinic in South Korea

        Trichomonas vaginalis, a causative agent of trichomoniasis, may trigger symptomatic or asymptomatic nongonococcal urethritis and chronic prostatitis in men. Despite the availability of highly sensitive diagnostic tests, such as nucleic acid amplification tests, including PCR, few prospective studies present data on male T. vaginalis infection in South Korea. In the present study, the prevalence of T. vaginalis and associated clinical conditions were evaluated in 201 male patients from a primary care urology clinic in South Korea. The prevalence of T. vaginalis infection in our cohort was 4% (8/201) by PCR. T. vaginalis infection was common in men older than 40 years (median age, 52 years). Among the 8 Trichomonas-positive patients, 87.5% (7/8) had prostatic diseases, such as prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and 25.0% (2/8) and 12.5% (1/8) were coinfected with Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma genitalium, respectively. Our results suggest that T. vaginalis infection is not rare in men attending primary care urology clinics in South Korea, especially in those older than 40 years, in whom it may explain the presence of prostatic disease. The possibility of T. vaginalis infection should be routinely considered in older male patients with prostatic diseases in South Korea.

        Background: To meet need for a subspecialized skin type system since Helena Rubinstein in 1910, the Baumann skin type(BST) system was proposed. Objectives: To evaluate the distribution and influencing factors of the BST in Korean women. Methods: BST questionnaires were administered to 1,000 Korean women. The possible responses were as follows: oily(O) or dry(D), sensitive(S) or resistant(R), pigmented (P) or non-pigmented(N), and wrinkled(W) or tight(T). The correlations of the BST and the subjects’ age, province, ultraviolet(UV) ray exposure, drinking and smoking habits, and blood type were assessed. Results: The OSNT, DSNT, DRNT, and OSNW skin types were the most common skin types. The O, S, P, and W types accounted for 46.6%, 68.8%, 23.2%, and 31.9%. The proportion of the O and S type was the highest in Gyeongsangbuk-do (55.0%) and Seoul (77.2%), while that of the P and W type was the highest in Gyeongsangbuk-do (33.0%) and Chungcheong-do (39.0%). The O type decreased in the higher age group, whereas the P and W type showed a reverse tendency. In smokers, the W type was significantly higher than in the non-smokers(66.3% vs. 24.1%, p<0.05). Conclusion: The 4 most common BST in Korean women were OSNT, DSNT, DRNT, and OSNW. The comparison between the 4 BST parameters according to various patients- and environment-related factors, significant differences in frequency were observed. Therefore, a more individualized and tailored skin care according to personal skin type is necessary.

        韓國(한국)의 文化(문화) : 金農(금농)의 放縱的藝術精神考察(방종적예술정신고찰)

        청대의 화가 금농은 ‘양주팔괴’의 한 사람으로 학식, 예술적 소양, 서화작품 등에서 특출한 인물로 일컬어진다. 금농의 이러한 예술정신이 형성된 요인은 다양하지만, 총체적으로 네 가지로 고찰할 수 있는데 첫째 자신의 성격, 둘째 청 초기의 서풍, 셋째 양주팔괴, 넷째 선종의 영향으로 모두가 서로 밀접한 관계가 있으며 이들 요인들은 금농의 성격 형성에 깊은 영향을 주었다. 이러한 금농의 예술정신 형성 요인을 바탕으로 금농의 예술정신은 크게 셋으로 분류할 수 있는데, 첫째는 ‘시류를 좇지 않는 독창정신’이고, 둘째는 ‘개성해방 사상의 표현’이며, 셋째는 ‘자연을 스승으로 하는 정신’이다. 금농 예술 표현의 가장 중요한 요인은 그의 작품 속에 가득한 반역(叛逆)과 방종(放縱)의 기이하고 엄숙한 분위기이다. 금농은 젊은 시절 공명을 얻고자 하였으나 결국 좌절만 겪고 아무 것도 얻지 못하였다. 실의에 빠진 문인으로서 겪은 빈곤, 냉대, 불공정함이 오랫동안 가슴속에 쌓여점차 불만을 발산하고자 하는 욕구가 쌓여가자 이러한 불만은 당시의 추세와 풍속을 따르지 않는 것으로 자신의 방식대로 하는 것으로 나나났다. 그래서 금농의 작품에는 당시 관료 문인의 예술의 우아함, 넉넉함, 수려함이 전혀 없고 다만 기묘하고 가파름, 낯설고 우둔함 그리고 광활함이 있을 뿐이다. 필묵에서 표출되는 것은 작자의 마음속의 괴로운 응어리이고, 표현방식은 전통으로 굳어진 법도에 대한 경시와 모반이었다. 이러한 것들이 서로 겉과 속을 이루며 조화롭게 일치됨으로서 금농의작품은 비로소 생기 넘치고 정취가 무궁하게 되었다. Nong Jin, a painter lived in the Qing Dynasty, was one of Yangzhou Baguai, is called a figure outstanding in learning, artistic knowledge, paintings and calligraphic works. While there were various factors forming this artistic spirit of Nong Jin, there were four factors in general. First factor is his own personality. Second is the style of painting in the early years of the Qing Dynasty. Third is Yangzhou Baguai and fourth is the influence of Zen Buddhism. All four were deeply correlated and had a significant impact on forming the character of Nong Jin. Based on these factors impacting the artistic spirit of Nong Jin, his artistic spirit can be classified into three: creative spirit that did not follow trends, expression of the thought on individuality liberation, and spirit serving the nature as a teacher. The most important factor in terms of the artistic expressions made by Nong Jin is eccentric and solemn atmospheres filling his works. While the painter wanted a success when he was young, he only experienced a frustration and gained nothing. As he kept poverty, inhospitality, and injustice that he experienced as a dejected man of letters all to himself, and accumulated desires to work off his dissatisfaction, it was instilled in his painting style that did not follow the trends and custom of the day. That is why works by Nong Jing only have peculiarity, steepness, unfamiliarity, and dullness instead of elegance, wealthiness, and splendors of a bureaucrat man of letters. Flowing from his brush and ink is suffocating and painful bitterness deep into his heart and his turn of expression was a contempt and rebellion against custom that had long been solidified as a habit. That is why a lone spirit of Nong Jin and his rebellious expression were harmoniously matched, filling his works with springy and peculiar flavors at last.

        Amine volatility occurring on the CO2 capture process may result in significant economic losses and environmental impact. In this study, using an volatility measurement apparatus, we measured a amine volatility of various amines including MEA (Monoethanolamine), MDEA (N-Methyldiethanolamine), Pz (Piperazine), AMP (2-Amino-2-methyl-1- propanol), 2-MP (2-Methylpiperazine), DGA (Diglycolamine). For the quantitative analysis of volatility, we analyzed the effects of temperature and CO2 loading using an gas chromatography analysis, The result shows that the amine volatility was increased by increasing Henry`s constant (MDEA<DGA<Pz<2-MP<MEA<AMP). And primary amines such as MEA and AMP were more volatile than MDEA, These results are considered from the difference of molecular structures: MDEA having two hydroxyl groups (-OH) shows less volatile than primary Amine which have only one hydroxyl group (for MEA & AMP) and two hydrophobic alkyl groups (-CH3) (for AMP).

        <P>Calcium and integrin binding protein 1 (CIB1) is a Ca(2+)-binding protein of 22 kDa that was initially identified as a protein that interacts with integrin alpha(IIb). Although it interacts with various proteins and has been implicated in diverse cellular functions, the molecular mechanism by which CIB1 regulates intracellular signaling networks has remained unclear. We now show that, by targeting apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1), CIB1 negatively regulates stress-activated MAPK signaling pathways. CIB1 was thus shown to bind to ASK1, to interfere with the recruitment of TRAF2 to ASK1, and to inhibit the autophosphorylation of ASK1 on threonine-838, thereby blocking ASK1 activation. Furthermore, CIB1 mitigated apoptotic cell death initiated either by TNF-alpha in breast cancer MCF7 cells or by 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) in dopaminergic cells. Ca(2+) influx induced by membrane depolarization reversed the inhibitory effect of CIB1 on 6-OHDA-induced ASK1 activation and cell death in dopaminergic neurons. These observations thus suggest that CIB1 functions as a Ca(2+)-sensitive negative regulator of ASK1-mediated signaling events.</P>
