The effects of negative carbon ion beam energy on the bonding configuration, hardness and surface roughness of DLC film prepared by a direct metal ion beam deposition system were investigated. As the negative carbon ion beam energy increased from 25 to 150 eV, the sp³ fraction of DLC films was increased from 32 to 67%, while the surface roughness was decreased. The films prepared at 150 eV showed the more flat surface morphology of the film than that of the film prepared under another ion beam energy conditions. Surface roughness of DLC film varied from 0.62 to 0.22 ㎚ with depositing carbon ion beam energy. Surface nanohardness increased from 12 to 57 Gpa when increasing the negative carbon ion beam energy from 25 to 150 eV, and then decreased when increasing the ion beam energy from 150 to 200 eV.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and reveal the effects that the complex exercise training consisting of aerobic exercise and strength training(sit up, push up) that everyone can easily practice regardless of a time and a place in order to manage practically the physical strength of the aged affects the difference on their body composition and the change of physical fitness level. Looking into the change of body composition of an experimental group, the weight of 2.5kg was reduced after applying complex training for 12 weeks and the body fat mass of 2.65kg was reduced. Also, the abdominal fat of 0.13% was decreased and the muscle mass of 1.56kg was increased. For the change factors of physical fitness, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, balance and flexibility excluding agility showed significant improvement after applying complex exercise training. The improvement of health fitness of the aged under this study was significantly effective to improve specified body functions which had been lowered by aging and insufficient physical activities. So, it is regarded that their health fitness is the important factor to improve the activity competence required for daily life and to lead healthy living by the improved activity competence. Henceforth, it needs to study more the complex composition of several sports, exercise intensity and the frequency based on the previous researches and studies. In addition, it needs to develop the complex exercise training in accordance with various characteristics such as a sex of the aged, an age, a physical fitness level, environment, a disease and the program in consideration of the efficacy and safety during training.
Effect of Obesity and Statins on Liver Cancer Mortality in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

Aims: Statins are associated with lower risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Overweight or mild obesity has also shown to be associated with lower overall mortality in population studies. We hypothesized that their protective effect might be associated with obesity or hypercholesterolemia. Methods: We analyzed a Health Examination Cohort of the National Health Insurance Service of Korea from 2002 to 2013. In total, 13,063 patients aged 40-79 years with CHB and no other concurrent liver disease such as liver cirrhosis were identified. According to body mass index (BMI), underweight (≤18.5 kg/㎡, N=263); normal (18.5 to less than 22.9 kg/㎡, N=4606); upper normal (23.0 to less than 24.9 kg/㎡, N=3564); overweight or mild obese (25 to less than 30 kg/㎡, N = 4280); and overt obese (≥30 kg/㎡, N = 340) were defined. Statin use was defined as ≥ 28 cumulative defined daily doses. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard models were used to define independent predictors for liver cancer mortality. Results: Three out of 980 statin users and 190 out of 12,066 non-users were died from liver cancer during mean 10.6 years of follow-up. The mortality was 0.29 per 1,000 person-year (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.09-0.89) for statin users and 1.48 per 1,000 person-year (95% CI 1.28-1.71) for non-statin users (P<0.001). After adjustment for age, gender, body mass index (BMI), smoking, alcohol consumption, plasma level of glucose, cholesterol, and liver enzymes, statin use was independently associated with lower risk for liver cancer mortality (Hazard ratio [HR] 0.17, 95% CI 0.04-0.68). Only overt obese patients (BMI ≥ 30 kg/㎡, N=340) were associated with higher risk for liver cancer mortality (HR 2.42, 95% CI 1.18-4.96) as compared with the normal patients. Overweight or mild obesity (BMI 25.0-29.9 kg/㎡) have no association with the mortality (HR 0.95, 95% CI 0.64-1.40). Cholesterol level more than 240 mg/dL was also independently associated with lower risk for the mortality (HR 0.45, 95% CI 0.23-0.86). The liver cancer mortality in patients with lower cholesterol level at baseline (< 200 mg/dL, N=7380) was 1.84 per 1,000 person-year (95% CI 1.56-2.17). Conclusions: The effect of statins on the mortality doesn’t seem to be dependent on BMI. However, lower cholesterol level at baseline was significantly associated with higher risk of liver cancer mortality. Statin effect among those patients need to be clarified.

In this paper the experiments of insulation characteristics by temperature change of SF? gas and insulation characteristics about liquid SF? in GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) were described. From this result, at low temperature, the breakdown voltage was increased with a drop of temperature and an increase of the inner pressure in GIS. The ability of insulation in liquid SF? was higher than that of the highly pressurized SF? gas. A liquid SF? discharge characteristics was caused by bubble formed evaporation of liquid SF? and bubble when high voltage apply to electrode. Corona was happened to weak bubble and was proceed to new bubble breakdown.

In this paper the experiments of breakdown characteristics SF? liquid (LSF?) in model GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) were described. From the experiments results, The ability of LSF? insulation is higher than high-pressurized SF? gas. The breakdown characteristics of LSF? were produced by bubble formed evaporation of LSF? and bubble caused by high electric emission. It is considered in this paper that the results are fundamental data for electric insulation design of superconductor and cryogenic equipments machinery which will be studied and developed in the future.

2011년 6월부터 11월까지 농산물 중 GC-NPD 및 GC-MSD를 이용한 동시 다성분 분석법을 이용하여 uniconazole의 잔류실태조사를 실시하였다. 2011년 6월부터 11월까지 서울지역에 유통되고 있는 농산물 121종 총 3,939건에 대하여 잔류실태조사를 실시한 결과 49건에서 uniconazole이 검출되었다. 품목별로는 겨자채가 69.4%로 가장 많이 검출되었다. Uniconazole의 검출양은 0.09 ㎎/㎏에서 17.89 ㎎/㎏로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 uniconazole에 대하여 GC-NPD 및 GC-MSD를 이용한 동시분석법의 가능성을 검토하였다. GC-NPD의 검출한계와 정량한계는 각각 0.006 ㎎/㎏와 0.018 ㎎/㎏이었다. 겨자채에 표준용액을 0.5, 5 ㎎/㎏ 농도로 하여 회수율을 측정한 결과 83.4%에서 101.4%까지 양호한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 연구를 통하여 동시분석법으로 보다 효율적인 검사가 가능할 것으로 기대된다. The monitoring of the uniconazole residual pesticide for agricultural products was conducted by multiclass pesticide multiresidue methods. Samples were collected from June to November, 2011. Uniconazole pesticide was detected in 49 samples from a total of 3,939 samples. The amount of uniconazole pesticide ranged from 0.09 to 17.89 ㎎/㎏ in 49 samples. This method was described for the simultaneous determination of uniconazole by gas chromatography with a nitrogen phosphorus detector (GC-NPD) and mass spectrometry (MS). The limit of detection and quantification were 0.006 and 0.018 ㎎/㎏ GC-NPD, respectively. For an evaluation of the GC-NPD method, uniconazole spiked into gyeojachae at a level of 0.5, 5 ㎎/㎏ was determined. The recoveries of uniconazole by the GC-NPD method ranged from 83.4 to 101.4%. The results indicate that the method of simultaneous analysis is applicable to uniconazole analysis.
