        한국 국립공원 산림생태계의 수목 탄소저장량 평가

        The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the amount of carbon storage for trees in forest ecosystem to support the foundation for carbon neutrality implementation in Korea National Park. It targeted 22 national parks designated and managed as national parks in Korea, and conducted research on forest trees in the terrestrial ecosystem among various natural and ecological carbon sink. The survey and analysis method followed the IPCC guidelines and the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory in Korea. The amount of tree carbon storage in the forest ecosystem of Korea National Park was confirmed to be about 218,505 thousand CO<sub>2</sub>-ton and the amount of carbon storage per unit area was 570.8 CO<sub>2</sub>-ton per hectare. Compared to 299.7 CO<sub>2</sub>-ton per hectare, the average carbon storage per unit area of the entire Korean forest, it was found that about twice as much carbon was stored when assuming the same area. In other words, it means that the tree carbon storage function of the national park is about twice as high as that of the average tree carbon storage function of entire Korean forest. It has great implications in Korea National Park not only provides biodiversity promotion and exploration services as a national protected area, but also performs excellent functions as a carbon sink.

        대전시 도시숲의 식생 및 토양특성에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to suggest appropriate methods for management of urban forest after investigating the present condition and problems of urban forests by analyzing vegetation and soil properties in urban forests in the Daejeon. On the basis of our research, Pinus rigida dominate Gyejoksan and Bomunsan. Pinus densiflora dominate Wolpyeong park and Quercus acutissima dominate Namsun park. On the basis of our result of analysis of soil chemical properties, all investigated areas have low pHs, available phosphates and exchangeable cations. They indicate that the soil of those areas have been acidifying progressively. Soil hardness measurements were conducted to know the conditions of trampled soils and the results of them show that soil hardness in Namsun park was higher than the others. This indicates that human interference affect the health of the urban forest.

      • 서울시내 일부 고등학생들의 흡연율 및 흡연행태

        연구배경 : 연의 유해성에 대한 사회적 인식이 점차 확대되어가지만 아직도 청소년의 흡연율은 계속 증가하고 있다. 청소년 흡연율의 증가는 성인흡연으로의 고착화 가능성을 증가시키며, 그들의 신체와 정신을 병들게 한다. 이러한 상황 속에서 현재 청소년의 흡연율 파악은 비밀 보장이 완전하지 못한 상태에서 설문조사에만 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 객관적인 검사방법에 의한 흡연율을 구하고자 하였으며, 청소년들의 흡연에 관련되는 특성들을 파악하여 흡연예방과 금연유도에 필요한 자료를 얻기 위해 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방법 : 1999년 5월에서 6월까지 임의로 서울시내 남녀 고등학교 1개씩을 정하여 3학년 100명씩(2학급)을 대상으로 미리 준비한 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하고, 그 인원을 대상으로 충분한 설명을 한 후에 일산화탄소 측정기를 통해 호기내 일산화탄소의 농도(ppm)를 측정하여 설문지의 흡연율과 비교하고 흡연행태, 니코틴 의존도, 가족기능도지수 등을 각각 남녀 별로 비교 분석하였다. 결과 : 대상 학생들의 설문지에 의한 흡연율은 전체적으로 19.5%로 이중 남자는 34.0%였고, 여자는 5.8%였고, 일산화탄소 측정기에 의한 흡연율은 남녀 각각 20.6%, 2.9%였다. 매일 한 개피 이상 피우는 매일 흡연자는 흡연자의 84.6%였고, 흡연량은 남자에서는 6-20개피가 48.5%로 제일 많고, 여자에서는 5개피 이하와 6-20개피가 각각 50%로 나타났다. 흡연동기는 "그냥 호기심에서"가 남자에서 39.4%로 제일 많았고 여자에서는 "친구의 권유나 어울리기 위해서"가 50.0%로 제일 많았다. 흡연 시작 시기는 남자에서는 고교 1학년 때와 중학교 2학년 때가 25.6%로 제일 많았고 여자에서는 66.7%가 중학교 1학년 때 흡연을 시작하였다. 흡연을 주로 하는 장소로는 남자는 길거리가 제일 많았고, 여자는 카페, 커피숍이 제일 많았으며, 담배의 주 구입원은 두 군 모두 슈퍼나 가게가 많았고, 남자는 호주머니에, 여자는 가방에 주로 담배를 소지하였다. 두 군 모두 친구들과 주로 흡연을 하였으며, 흡연에 대해 남자는 아무렇지 않게 생각하며, 여자는 불안한 가운데 흡연을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 흡연자의 니코틴 의존도는 고도의 의존도가 남자에서만 3.1%로 나타났고, 가족기능도지수는 남녀별, 흡연군과 비흡연군간 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 흡연자의 대부분(82.1%)은 금연을 고려하고 있었으며, 그 이유로는 건강문제가 제일 많았다. 결론 : 청소년들의 흡연율은 아직도 증가 추세에 있고, 점차 매일 흡연자의 빈도도 증가하고 있으며, 흡연행위를 정당하게 생각하는 경향이 두드러진다. 이에 따라 설문지에 의한 흡연율과 일산화탄소 측정기에 의한 흡연율을 비교하였으나 측정기의 여러 단점들로 인하여 일산화탄소 측정기에서 더 낮은 흡연율을 보였다. 그러므로 실제적인 흡연율 산출을 위해서는 보다 민감도와 특이도가 높은 흡연율 조사가 이루어져야 하겠다.

      • 葉成分과 土壤의 理化學的性質이 林木生長에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to analyze physical and chemical properties of soil and leaf analysis to estimating amount of tree growth in Chamaecyparis pisifera, Jinhae city, Gyeongnam province. The results were summarize as follows; As the results from analysis of relation of physical-chemical properties of soil and leaf component, the relationship p component inside soil and n component inside leaf showed positive correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=0.9986), and also relation of nitrogen component inside soil and component of Na_2O inside leaf showed positive correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=0.9987), but the relation of component Ca^2+ inside soil and component of Na_2O inside leaf showed negative correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=-0.9984), and also relation of p component inside soil and Fe component inside leaf showed negative correlation with determination coefficients(R^2=-0.7215). The results from analysis of relation of leaf component and tree growth, showed correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.4256) in height growth, determination coefficient (R^2=0.6248) in DBH growth, determination coefficient(R^2=0.6248,) in volume growth, respectively. In each tree growth of recent five years, N and P components showed positive correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.6170, 0.5780, respectively) in height growth, and also N and Na^+ components showed positive correlation of determination coefficient(R^2=0.6016, R^2=0.8727, respectively) in DBH growth, but K= component showed negative correlation in DBH growth As the results from analysis of stepwise regression to estimating amount of DBH growth, sequence of inputted variables entered in order of N, Na+, Mg++, ,and estimated equation was Y=44.791N-56.640Mg+0.6867Na-26.47, determination coefficients of 69%.

        Time Frequency Domain Reflectometry 기법을 이용한 Coaxial Cable에서의 결함 감지 및 추정

        본 논문에서는 도선사에서 발생하는 결함 위치와 이상 유무를 감지하는 새로운 고분해능 반사측정법인 시간-주파수 영역반사측정법 (TFDR, Time-Frequency Domain Reflectometry)을 제안하였다. 고전적인 반사측정법들은 단지 시간 또는 주파수의 한 영역에서 분석되어져 왔으나, 본 논문에서 제시한 TFDR은 도선의 결함 위치와 이상 유무를 발견하기 위해 과도신호의 시간과 주파수 영역의 정보를 동시에 이용할 수 있는 시간-주파수 분석기법으로 특성화하였다. TFDR의 기준신호 설계는 측정 케이블의 물리적 성질들을 고려하여 주파수 밴드를 결정하며, 도선의 결함감지와 추정은 시간-주파수 상호상관관계 함수에 의해 이루어진다. TFDR 시스템을 이용하여 여러 결함 상태를 가진 실제 coaxial cable (RG-142, RG-400)에 대해 실험하였고 정확성을 입증하기 위해 TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) 장비와 성능은 비교하였다. 본 논문에서는 TFDR이 TDR보다 작은 오차로 결함을 찾아냄을 나타내고 있으며, 측정된 정확도는 TFDR의 오차율이 0.5%이하로 TDR (54750A/54754A) 장비보다 성능이 월등히 우수하다는 것을 알 수 있다. In this paper, a new high resolution reflectometry scheme, time-frequency domain reflectometry (TFDR), is proposed to detect and locate fault in wiring. Traditional reflectometry methods have been achieved in either the time domain or frequency domain only. However, time-frequency domain reflectometry utilizes time and frequency information of a transient signal to detect and locate the fault. The time-frequency domain reflectometry approach described in this paper is characterized by time-frequency reference signal design and post-processing of the reference and reflected signals to detect and locate the fault. Design of the reference signal in time-frequency domain reflectometry is based on the determination of the frequency bandwidth of the physical properties of cable under test. The detection and estimation of the fault on the time-frequency domain reflectometry relies on the time-frequency domain reflectometry is compared with commercial time domain reflectometry (TDR) instrument. In these experiments provided in this paper, TFDR locates the fault with smaller error than TDR. Knowledge of time and frequency localized information for the reference and reflected signal gained via time-frequency analysis, allows one to detect the fault and estimate the location accurately.

        Recently the countries breeding bears such as China and Vietnam are promoting a policy that gives relief to wild animals through agreement with AAF and WSPA. Currently our country has lacking breeding space for the increased number of bred bears due to the prohibition of bear import and export from joining the CITES in 1992. There needs to be a place that treats, protects.accepts breed bears in the terms of animal welfare. The bear park was hoped to be designed as a means to give relief to bears and promote harmony with the local society, and is made of parking area, waiting area, visitors center, treatment·research·management facilities, restaurants, food warehouse, food store, bear museum, sanitation facilities, gondola, plaza, rehabilitation area for wild animals, outdoor exhibition center, direct·indirect experience area of wild animals, resting facilities and areas, photo zones, bear playground, bear experiencing facilities, fences, information facilities, tree protection facilities and more. The design can be used as a reference in examining alternative measures following the future change in breeding policy as a bear park example which reflected the ecology of a bear in the term of animal welfare.

      • Long-term, high-rate lithium storage capabilities of TiO<sub>2</sub> nanostructured electrodes using 3D self-supported indium tin oxide conducting nanowire arrays

        <P>Core/shell, indium tin oxide (ITO)/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> hybrid nanostructured electrodes for high-power lithium ion rechargeable batteries have been synthesized <I>via</I> a thermal evaporation method followed by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). Lithium-active TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles were uniformly assembled onto high-conductivity ITO nanowire arrays that were directly grown on metallic current collectors. This configuration resulted in superior rate capabilities and long-term cycle life.       • Petal-Inspired Diffractive Grating on a Wavy Surface: Deterministic Fabrications and Applications to Colorizations and LED Devices

        <P>Interestingly, the petals of flowering plants display unique hierarchical structures, in which surface relief gratings (SRGs) are conformably coated on a curved surface with a large radius of curvature (hereafter referred to as wavy surface). However, systematic studies on the interplay between the diffractive modes and the wavy surface have not yet been reported, due to the absence of deterministic nanofabrication methods capable of generating combinatorially diverse SRGs on a wavy surface. Here, by taking advantage of the recently developed nano fabrication composed of evaporative assembly and photofluidic holography inscription, we were able to achieve (i) combinatorially diverse petal-inspired SRGs with controlled curvatures, periodicities, and dimensionalities, and (ii) systematic optical studies of the relevant diffraction modes. Furthermore, the unique diffraction modes of the petal-inspired SRGs were found to be useful for the enhancement of the outcoupling efficiency of an organic light emitting diode (OLED). Thus, our systematic analysis of the interplay between the diffractive modes and the petal-inspired SRGs provides a basis for making more informed decisions in the design of petal-inspired diffractive grating and its applications to optoelectronics.</P>
