Treatment of lung cancer in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is difficult because the mortality rate after surgery or chemotherapy is high for these patients. Spontaneous regression of cancer is rare, especially in lung cancer. A 62-year-old man, previously diagnosed with IPF, presented with stage IIIC (T2N3M0) non-small cell lung cancer. About 4 months later, spontaneous regression of the primary tumor was observed without treatment. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of spontaneous regression of lung cancer in a patient with IPF.

<P>Several studies have revealed that the preoperative serum testosterone and percent tumor volume (PTV) predict extra-prostatic extension (EPE) and biochemical recurrence (BCR) after radical prostatectomy. This study investigated the prognostic significance of serum testosterone and PTV in relation to EPE and BCR after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP). We reviewed 520 patients who underwent LRP between 2004 and 2012. PTV was determined as the sum of all visually estimated tumor foci in every section. BCR was defined as two consecutive increases in the postoperative prostate-specific antigen (PSA) >0.2 ng ml<SUP>−1</SUP>. The threshold for serum total testosterone was 3.0 ng ml<SUP>−1</SUP>. Multivariate logistic regression was used to define the effect of variables on the risk of EPE and BCR. A low serum testosterone (<3.0 ng ml<SUP>−1</SUP>) was associated with a high serum PSA, Gleason score, positive core percentage of the prostate biopsy, PTV, and all pathological variables. On multivariate analysis, similar to previous studies, the serum PSA, biopsy positive core percentage, Gleason score, and pathological variables predicted EPE and BCR. In addition, low serum testosterone (<3.0 ng ml<SUP>−1</SUP>, adjusted OR, 8.52; 95% CI, 5.04–14.4, <I>P</I> = 0.001) predicted EPE and PTV (adjusted OR, 1.02; 95% CI, 1.01–1.05, <I>P</I> = 0.046) predicted BCR. In addition to previous predictors of EPE and BCR, low serum testosterone and PTV are valuable predictors of EPE and BCR after LRP.</P>

충암 김정(1486~1521)은 조선 초 사화시대의 유학자로서 기묘사화 때 희생을 당한 실천적 지성인이다. 1515년 순창군수로 부임하여 담양부사 박상, 무안현감 유옥과 함께 억울하게 폐위된 중종비 신씨의 복위를 요청하는 상소를 올렸다. 이 상소는 당시 집권층의 부당한 처사를 비판하고 중전 신씨의 복위의 정당성을 역설한 것으로 매우 용기 있는 행동이었다. 또한 김정은 조광조와 함께 개혁정치에 앞장섰다가 훈구파의 모함으로 희생당하였다. 그는 개혁의 당위를 역설하고 개혁의 목표를 堯舜에 두었다. 소위 至治가 개혁의 목표요 방향이었다. 그는 개혁정치의 내용으로 군자와 소인의 엄격한 구별로 인사의 합리성과 공정성을 확립해야 한다 하였고, 賢良科를 실시하여 유능한 인재의 발굴을 주장하였다. 그리고 개혁의 대안 마련과 인재등용을 위해 언로의 개방을 말하고, 사회교화의 방법으로 鄕約의 실시를 주장하였다. 또한 당시 미신적 행사로 흘렀던 昭格署의 혁파를 주장하고 행정의 합리화를 위해 작은 고을의 합병과 감사의 임기 보장을 주장하였다. 김정의 의리적 삶은 오늘날 다음과 같은 현대적 의미를 갖는다. 첫째, 의리는 불의에 대한 항거다. 둘째, 의리는 인간사회의 보편적인 도덕가치다. 셋째, 경제는 의리를 통해 선하게 된다. 넷째, 의리는 만사의 근본이다. Chungam Kim Jeong (1486- 1521) is a practical Confucianist who was killed young at the age of thirty-six at the massacre of scholars called Gimyosahwa in Joseon dynasty. In particular, he who was governor of Sunchang city made an appeal for there in state men to faw if e of King Jungjong named Shin who had been dispelled from the court under a false accusation, along with ParkSang, Damyang county governor and Yuok, Muan district governor in 1515. This event show ed his courage protesting un fair treatment from the authority and awakened the spirit of Confucian scholars. Heun justly fell victim to as lander of the opposing part as taking the head in reforming politics. The fidelity through outh is life has contemporary meaning as be low. First, fidelity is an act of protestant in justice. Second, fidelity is universal morality in a society of human beings. Third, economic condition is improved by virtue of fidelity. Fourth, fidelity lie sat the root of everything.
비정질강섬유 보강 고강도 콘크리트의 온도별 잔존 역학적 특성 평가

This study is aim to assess mechanical properties which is highly related to structural safe and durability of 100MPa high strength concrete mixed with amorphous metallic fiber. All specimens were heated with low velocity heating rate(1℃/min.), residual compressive strength and residual flexural strength was evaluated. The specimens were cooled down to room temperature after heating. As a result, in the case of 100MPa high-strength concrete, the residual compressive strength enhancing effect of amorphous metallic fiber has showed with the mix proportion of fiber. In addition, residual flexural strength showed more regular pattern before 300℃ then residual compressive strength, but simillar decreasing behavior was shown after 300℃ like residual compressive strength. Further study about fiber pull-out behavior and fiber mechanical, chemical property change due to temperature is needed.
