        부산시 일개구 지역주민의 위암선별검사 수검 및 반복수검 실태 및 관련요인조사

        The importance of repeat screening for stomach cancer is well known to decrease deaths from stomach cancer. This study was aimed at assessing practice behaviors and to identify related factors in the aspects of demographic factors, health status and cancer risk recognition, attitude to cancer screening, health behaviors, and inhibiting or facilitating factors to stomach cancer screening in an urban area. Data was collected through self-administered questionnaires from 403 people aged 40 to 69 years from April 23th to May 15th, 2002. Practice behaviors were classified as :"ver"r "ver"and "peat"r "t repeat"rouped based on a recent 5 year screening history. The results were as follows: 1. Among the 403 subjects: "e ever group"as 23.8% and "e repeat group"as 4.0%. The rates of screening were 20.5% for men, 27.8% for those women, and 27.3% for aged 40-49, 24.5% for those aged 50-59, 19.0% for those aged 60-69. The rates of repeat screening were 4.0% for men, 4.1% for women, and 2.9% for those aged 40-49, 6.3% for aged 50-59, 2.5% for those aged 60-69. 2. The main factors associated with adherence to gastric cancer screening were education(post high school vs below : OR=2.44), previous cancer screening(yes vs no : OR=2.61), belief in personal health(no vs yes : OR=2.72), health status(unhealthy vs healthy : OR=3.40), possibility of cancer compared to others(low vs not low : OR=2.56), and regular exercise(yes vs no : OR=2.94). The main factor associated with adherence to gastric cancer repeat screening was other cancer screening (yes vs no : OR=6.33). Consequently, there is a need to change the recognition of the importance and necessity of stomach cancer screening in healthy conditions through health education, and to perform multiple screening tests each visit.

        Drying shrinkage cracking which may be caused by the relatively large specific suface is a matter of grave concern for latex modified concrete(LMC) overlay and rapid-setting cement latex modified concrete(RSLMC) overlay. LMC and RSLMC were studied for field applications very actively in terms of strength and durability in Korea. However, there were no considerations in drying shrinkage. Therefore, the purpose of this dissertation was to study the drying shrinkage properties of LMC and RSLMC with the main experimental variables such as cement types(ordinary portland cement, rapid setting cement), water-cement ratios and curing days at a same controlled environment of 60% of relative humidity and 20℃ of temperature. The drying shrinkage for specimens was measured with a digital dial gauge of Demec. The test results showed that the drying shrinkage of LMC and RSLMC were considerably lower with low water-cement ratio, respectively. This might be attributed to the interlocking of hydrated cement and aggregates by a film of latex particles, water retention due to hydrophobic, and colloidal properties of the latexes resulting in reduced water evaporation.

        회전변위와 천공을 포함한 측두하악관절 내장증 상태와 임상적 특징간의 상호관계

        This study was designed to reveal the correlationship between the internal derangement state of TMJ and clinical characteristics including pain and mandibular dysfunction. One hundred and twenty five subjects with TMJ signs and symptoms were chosen for two years. The level of pain and madibular dysfunction were evaluated by Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and Craniomandibular Index(CMI). The diagnostic categories of TMJ internal derangement were determined by arthrography and they included normal disc position, anterior disc displacement with reduction(ADDR), rotational disc displacement with reduction(RDDR), anterior disc displacement without reduction(ADDNR), and rotational disc displacement without reduction (RDDNR). Also disc perforation was used as a criteria to divide the diagnostic subgroups. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The patient distribution of each group was 5 in normal disc position(4%), 40 in ADDR(32%), 30 in RDDR(24%), 34 in ADDNR (27%), and 16 in RDDNR(13%). 2. Perforation was observed in 8% of ADDR, 10% of RDDR, 32% of ADDNR, and 19% of RDDNR. 3. CMI of non-reduction group was higher than that of reduction or normal group(p<0.05), but VAS showed no significant difference. 4. CMI of perforation group was higher than that of non-perforation group in reduction group (p<0.05). 5. There were no significant differences of CMI and VAS between anterior disc displacement group and rotational disc displacement group in both reduction and non-reduction group. 6. CMI of RDDNR group was higher than that of RDDR group (p<0.05). 7. There were no significant difference of CMI and VAS between bilateral involvement group and unilateral involvement group(p>0.05).

      • 랫트의 생체내 카드뮴 단독투여 및 카드뮴과 셀레늄 병용투여에 따른 필수원소의 변화

        This study was performed to find out the changes of essential elements as Cu, Fe, Zn, and Ca in blood, liver, kidney and testis of rats. The experimental rats were divided into 4 groups that were consisted of control group(groupⅠ), 3.0㎎Cd/kg group(groupⅡ), 3.0㎎Cd +1.0㎎Se/kg group(groupⅢ) and 3.0mgCd+2.5mgSe/kg group(groupⅣ). Each group was intraperitoneal injection with difference dose of cadmium and selenium such as 3.0mgCd/kg, 3.0mgCd+1.0mgSe/kg and 3.0mgCd+2.5mgSe/kg. Rats were killed at the time of 3 day and 28 day, and Cd, Se, Cu, Zn and Ca concentration in several organs were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry and inductively Coupled Plasma. Cadmium content in blood, liver, kidney and testis were significantly increased in the Cd alone injection group than Cd mixed with selenium injection groups. But, copper content were not significantly differences in control and each experimental group. Iron content were significantly increased in the Cd alone injection group than others groups. Zinc and calcium content were significantly decreased in the Cd alone injection group than other groups. On the other hand the essential element content in Cd mixed with selenium injection group were almost equaled with those of control group than Cd alone injection group.

      • 해양 갈조류를 생물흡착제로 이용한 납흡착 특성 연구

        Lead sorption performances by biomass of nonliving, dried marine brown algae Undaria pinnatifida, Hizikia fusiformis, and Sargassum fulvellum used as biosorbent materials were investigated. As the amount of biosorbent materials added was increased, the lead removal by biosorbent materials increased but the lead biosorption capacities decreased. However, with increasing initial lead concentration the lead biosorption capacities by the biosorbent materials increased but lead removal efficiencies decreased. In the range of initial lead concentration(C_0) 10-500 mg/L the lead biosorption capacities and removal efficiencies by the biosorbent materials increased with increasing pH. Among the biosorbent materials used in this study, the lead biosorption capacities decreased in the following sequence: U. pinnatifida $gt; H. fusiformis $gt; S. fulvellum. The lead biosorption by biosorbent materials were expressed by the Langmuir isotherm better than the Freundlich isotherm. The biosorption rate could be expressed by the first order reaction rate equation for initial lead concentration like that r_ad = 0.288C_0 for U. pinnatifida, r_ad = 0.255C_0 for H. fusiformis, and r_ad = 0.161C_0 for S. fulvellum.

        셀레콕시브 및 그 합성유도체들의 항암활성 스크리닝

        Selective COX (cyclooxygenase)-2 inhibitors including celecoxib have been shown to induce apoptosis and cell cycle changes in various tumor cells. New inhibitors are recently being developed as chemomodulating agents. We evaluated celecoxib and screened 150 synthetic compounds for anti-proliferative activities in vitro. Effects of celecoxib on COX activity, cell growth, cell cycle distribution, and apoptosis induction were determined in A549 COX-2 overexpressing human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. The COX inhibition of celecoxib increased with concentration up to 82% at 1μM after 24 hr exposure. Forty μM and 50μM of celecoxib induce G_1 arrest, and TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells, respectively. Among 150 compounds, several compounds were selected for having greater COX-2 inhibitory activity and higher selectivity than celecoxib with growth inhibitory activity. Celecoxib showed concentration-dependent COX inhibitory activity, and ability to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human NSCLC cells in vitro. Among synthetic analogues screened, several compounds showed promising in vitro activity as COX-2 inhibitory anticancer agents, which warrant further evaluation in vitro and in vivo.
