Misclassification in Size-Biased Modified Power Series Distribution and Its Applications
Anwar Hassan,Peer Bilal Ahmad 한국산업응용수학회(구 한국산업정보응용수학회) 2009 한국산업정보응용수학회 Vol.13 No.1
A misclassified size-biased modified power series distribution (MSBMPSD) where some of the observations corresponding to x=c+1 are misclassified as x = c with probability α, is defined. We obtain its recurrence relations among the raw moments, the central moments and the factorial moments. Discussion of the effect of the misclassification on the variance is considered. To illustrate the situation under consideration some of its particular cases like the size-biased generalized negative binomial (SBGNB), the size-biased generalized Poisson (SBGP) and size-biased Borel distributions are included. Finally, an example is presented for the size-biased generalized Poisson distribution to illustrate the results.
Traditional Software Development for WLAN Propagation Model
Anwar Hassan Ibrahim,Mahamod Ismail,Kasmiran Jumari,Tiong Sieh Kiong 대한전기학회 2007 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.2 No.1
SPWPM traditional software development is surveyed and essential problems are investigated on the basis of system wireless link considerations. This paper presents the current state software planning tools for wireless LAN link optimization. The software directory is based on combination of MatLab and MapInfo software and measurement which gives the best grouping parameters to build up the software development. Among the requirements assumed, the WLAN site selections must be Line-of-sight (LOS) or near line of sight (NLOS) field strength prediction for either point to point or point to multi points. The results obtainable the out put of the program include two-dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) plots for creating the link; design parameters through GUI representing the height and location for each antenna is depending on K-factor of the area and transmit antenna location.

In this paper Bayes estimator of the parameter and reliability function of the zero-truncated Poisson distribution are obtained. Furthermore, recurrence relations for the estimator of the parameter are also derived. Monte Carlo simulation technique has been made for comparing the Bayes estimator and reliability function with the corresponding maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of zero-truncated Poisson distribution.

ON ESTIMATION OF NEGATIVE POLYA-EGGENBERGER DISTRIBUTION AND ITS APPLICATIONS
ANWAR HASSAN,SHEIKH BILAL 한국산업응용수학회 2008 Journal of the Korean Society for Industrial and A Vol.12 No.2
In this paper, the negative Polya-Eggenberger distribution has been introduced by compounding negative binomial distribution with beta distribution of I-kind which generates a number of univariate contagious or compound (or mixture of) distributions as its particular cases. The distribution is unimode, over dispersed and all of its positive and negative integer moments exist. The difference equation of the proposed model shows that it is a member of the Ord's family of distribution. Some of its interesting properties have been explored besides different methods of estimation been discussed. Finally, the parameters of the proposed model have been estimated by using a computer programme in R-software. Application of the proposed model to some data, available in the literature, has been given and its goodness of fit demonstrated.
On Some Models Leading To Quasi-Negative-Binomial Distribution
( Anwar Hassan ),( Sheikh Bilal ) 한국산업응용수학회(구 한국산업정보응용수학회) 2007 한국산업정보응용수학회 Vol.11 No.2
In this paper, we explore some interesting models of the quasi-negative-binomial distribution based on difference differential equations applicable to theory of microorganisms and the situations like that. Some characterizations based on conditional distributions and damage process have been obtained. Further, the distribution of number of accidents as the quasi-negative-binomial distribution in the light of Irwin`s theory of "proneness-liability" model has been derived. Finally, the proposed model (QNBD) has been applied to study the Shunting accidents, home injuries, and strikes in industries.

Presence of Acetylcholine-like Substance(s) in Sesamum indicum
Gilani, Anwar-ul Hassan,Aftab, Khalid The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea 1992 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.15 No.1
Alcoholic extract of seeds of Sesamum indicum (SI, 1-30mg/kg) caused hypotensive action in anesthetized rats. Heart rate was also decreased at slightly higher doses (10-30 mg/kg). Pretreatment with atropine (2 mg/kg) abolished these cardiovascular responses. In isolated spontaneously beating atria from guinea-pigs. SI caused decrease in force and rate of atrial contractions. In isolated guinea-pig ileum and rat uterus, SI (100-1000 ug/ml) produced contractile responses. All these actions of SI were abolished in the presence of atropine ($1\mu$M). These results indicate that alcoholic extract of seeds of Seamum indicum contains acetylcholine-like constituent(s) which explains some of the folkloric uses of plant.
