본 논문은 비판적 실재론자인 로이 바스카의 철학적 이행과정을 “반인간주의(anti-anthropism)”라는 테제로 그 이론적 맥락을 분석한다. 바스카 철학의 이론 전개 과정은 비판적 실재론(critical realism) → 변증법적 비판 실재론(dialectical critical realism) → 메타실재(metaReality) 의 점진적 발전 모델로 규정할 수 있는데, 논자는 바스카의 이론 전개과정이 각 단계의 핵심적 문제들을 보존하면서 “반인간주의(anti-anthropism)”라는 테제의 일관성을 유지하고 있음을 보이고자 노력했다. 실재에 대한 이러한 이해는 근대 이후 서양철학의 인간중심적 경향을 자연스럽게 비판하고 새로운 대안을 찾게 되는데, 실재는 객체로서의 대상이기도 하지만 실현되어야 할 주체이기도 하다는 의미에서 ‘자기실현(self-realization)’의 개념과 필연적으로 만나게 된다. 그리고 이러한 만남은 반인간주의 실재론의 가능성을 제시한다. This study aims to analyze the philosophy of Roy Bhaskar, the originator of critical realism, under the theme of “anti-anthropism.” His philosophical trajectory consisted of the systemic development of critical realism, followed by dialectical critical realism, and finally Meta-Reality. This study shows the theoretical coherence in this transformation, while simultaneously exploring the idea of anti-anthropism. The understanding of reality formulated on Bhaskar’s critical realism criticizes the anthropic attitude of modern Western philosophy, and tries to find its alternative. This movement naturally meets the concept of “self-realization” in the sense that reality is both the object and the subject that must be realized.
